Townsend Montessori Nursery Faversham is a purpose-built setting, located in the Eurocentre Business Park, ideally located for working families in the area. The setting follows a Montessori approach to education, which prioritises the growth and development of each child, in a supportive and engaging space designed for them to learn and thrive.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, inspired by the Montessori approach, fostering meaningful connections between children and the world around them and helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The nursery features a large garden and forest area, perfect for encouraging plenty of outdoor play and exploration. The five bright rooms are all situated on the ground floor, allowing for easy access to the outdoor areas.

The Bluebells Room is dedicated to younger children, providing a calm and nurturing environment with age-appropriate resources to support their development. Key Carers work closely with each family to ensure that the routines from home are followed, helping each child feel secure in their nursery environment. When children are slightly older, they progress to the Poppies Room, where they continue to learn independent skills and engage in exciting activities and resources.

The two Pre-School rooms, Daisies and Tulips, are designed to help children build the skills necessary for their transition to school, and offer additional activities such as football, rugby, dance and yoga. The children can also access a forest area, where Forest School sessions are held daily, providing an all-natural space with the opportunity to explore the world around them.

My son has been going to the nursery since he was nine months and is now two years old. He absolutely loves it there and the level of care and love he receives is second to none. He has a key person but all the staff really bond with the children. He knows their names and they all know him and say hi
to him even if they aren't in his room. They did have some staffing issues but apart from a drop in App updates, which is now much better, the care level never dropped. He is coming on leaps and bounds under their teaching and we are so pleased.

Staff are committed to the growth and development of my children. They work hard to know my children well, in order to meet both their emotional and developmental needs. They are all well-trained and clearly committed to ongoing training for staff. Both of my children love coming to Townsend and often
talk happily about the activities they participated in and what they have learned. Staff communicate well regarding the needs of my children, what they are learning and how I can support their learning from home. What I especially like is how the nursery fosters a strong sense of community for parents and children who attend. A highlight is the extracurricular activities that my children get to participate in (rugby and yoga), which they love! Would highly recommend them.

Staff are friendly and really take an interest in my child. They provide a great range of activities and experiences for the children and let the child lead in what they want to take part in. They also share what children have been doing daily, which is great for talking about the day in the evenings.

I am passionate about early childhood as I have always believed that children's opportunities now build foundations for their future well-being and learning.
