Kids Planet Prestwich was rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in 2015, for the third consecutive time and not only provides the highest standard of nursery childcare and education but also a unique environment in which children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and to interact with others.

The nursery is purpose-built and has beautiful open plan rooms, secure outdoor play areas and also a separate roof terrace playground for pre-school children. The focus is on a stimulating environment where children can learn through play, with a separate approach for the different age groups.

Carers look to work in partnership with parents, tailoring services to suit any specific needs they or their children might have. Individual development is crucial and staff prepare children for the new challenges they will experience when they start school.

This nursery is absolutely fantastic. I was so hesitate returning to work and placing my children into nursery 2 days a week. I went to view it and knew instantly that this was the right place. The management is excellent. The office is at the front of nursery, somebody always in and door always open.
The staff are excellently trained, professional, understanding, educated, polite and most importantly demonstrate this to the children in their care. I have witnessed many absolutely excellent examples of fantastic care and sent emails to management to praise staff. The management team and staff are not only excellent with my children but also with me! I am very anxious and worry all the time the reassurance and support I have received as a parent is something I could never thank the staff enough for! This nursery doesn’t need a review you need to go and see it for yourself and you will know instantly you have made the right choice.

My 3 year old son has attended the nursery since aged 7 months. I remember then being really apprehensive about leaving him in the care of others, whilst I was at work, but the staff at the nursery immediately put me at ease. In the way that they speak to my son and the way that he is supported on a
daily basis, it is clear to see that they genuinely care about him. He has made so many close bonds with particular staff members and key workers during his time at the nursery. What is telling is that I know he'll be devasted to have to have to leave next year for school. I really would recommend Kids Planet - Prestwich highly. They've assisted my son and us as parents with many milestones and continue to support us with our son's individual development goals. I am so confident in the care that they provide that our second child is due to start with them in September and I know I can feel at ease during the difficult transition of returning to work because he will be receiving great care.

This was the nursery I wanted my child to go to. The key workers he's had have been dedicated in working on his development. Their perserverence in getting him to walk unaided was amazing.
All staff are friendly. I have recommended Kids Planet many times.


If I had one niggle and it is a teeeeeny

tiny one - it would be about the number of management changes. All managers have been excellent. There is no question about the quality and the reasons for the changes have been logical. But as soon as you get used to someone it seems they're off.

Our daughter has just turned 1 and has attended for the past 4 months. We were unsure as to where to send her, thought Kids Planet would be too 'big' for her in terms of numbers of children and her young age, however, we were wrong. The manager knows the name of every child and the whole place has a
great feel. Our daughter loves the staff members and they have a great understanding of her developing personality and what she likes to do, and really help her thrive. At present, we do not get a great deal of insight as to what goes on during her day other than a briefly written sheet, however they are bringing in an online access interface and my understanding is we can view pictures and get updates throughout the day by logging into our account.


Choosing childcare when you return to work is tough, but I would definitely recommend considering this place. I can see why it received an Outstanding from Ofsted and for our highly sociable 1-year-old, it was absolutely what she needed.

Our daughter has been at Kids Planet since she was ten months old. She is now approaching pre-school. At every stage, we have found the staff to be caring, proactive and committed to providing our child with the best possible environment. They always treat her as an individual, move at her pace and
have been happy to adapt to her needs - for example, separating different food groups on her plate when she was going through a fussy eating phase and then helping her to move back to mixed foods again. They genuinely like the children in their care. It is one of the more expensive nurseries in our area but we often think about how glad we are that we chose this nursery.

Our journey with Kids Planet Day Nurseries - Prestwich started in 2013 with my daughter and ends next week with my son. Both my kids have loved their time at Kids Planet and I couldn't recommend it more. The staff have been amazing regarding my son's asthma and allergies and I am confident he will be
cared for should he need his medication in nursery. My shy reserved baby is leaving as a confident chatty boy thanks to his amazing teachers!

Kids Planet Day Nurseries - Prestwich is a safe, happy and educational environment for our little boy. We have had our son placed there for the last 14 months, on a full-time basis, starting in the Baby Room and now into Tots. We couldn't be happier with the care and attention that our son has had from
the staff at Kids Planet Day Nurseries - Prestwich; his development has been outstanding and we are grateful for the parenting role that all the staff adopt with our son, whilst we are at work. They have a loving, friendly and conscientious approach to their work in learning and play and our son thinks of all the staff that work with him as his extended family. He enjoys attending nursery and we drop our son off in the morning confident that he will enjoy his day and be looked after to the highest standard. Thank you, from Dad and Mum x
