Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery- West Ealing is set within the grounds of Hathaway Primary School and Children’s Centre.

It provides flexible sessions for children from 3 months to 5 years including 2, 3 and 4 year old funding.

The nursery is small and therefore is able to offer a home from home experience with each child’s interests at the centre of what it does.

The children's centre location gives families access to a range of services, support and a monthly activity programme.

This school has helped my child come out of his shell, when he started he didn't speak to anyone only nodded now he speaks to everyone. They even helped with potty training as he had problems with this. They are so kind and always there to help.

The staff in the baby room are lovely. There has recently been a change of manager and a new deputy manager. It was a rocky start for us because at the show around a twice a day nap schedule was agreed. However upon starting at the nursery it was clear this is not possible to implement due to the baby
room set up and schedule. This made the settling in period tough. My ten month old had to conform to a once a day nap schedule which upset me. However the staff continue to work hard to help my little one transition to napping there. In all other regards the nursery is great. He is eating well with diverse food choices offered. He is playing and socialising well. He has a lovely connection with his key worker. The new management are implementing a number of changes and improvements including a revamp on indoor and outdoor spaces. The nursery are quick to respond to queries and always providing updates and feedback. Weekly updates on activities are given via their app.

Lovely staff they look after the children very well. My daughter was really nervous going to nursery but thanks to all the staff, they helped her and now she has settled very well. They have different activities every day.

Staff are great, you can't get better value for money than this. Learning new activities could use a bit more effort, the food is ok, the nursery is spacious and clean, staff are hard-working and dedicated. Overall, a great place to take your children.

My daughter has been at Hungry Caterpillar since 2020. She enjoys her time at nursery a lot and has made lots of friends. She missed a lot of time at nursery due to Covid but she has become much better at playing with other children and has really come out of her shell, especially recently. The staff
are very nice, always answer any queries and are always clearly happy to be there with our kids. She gets sent home with little workbooks to practice her letters and numbers, as well as books to help her strengthen her reading.
We’ve recently been allowed to pick up the kids from inside the building as restrictions lifted and it’s been lovely to see the amount of equipment, toys and learning activities they have available to them.

When my child started his nursery, he was a weak with his alphabetic and writing. I now see him push himself to writing more and he’s interested in writing. He is also better with tidying up and keeps himself clean.

My son started at the nursery in September at one years old. His development in physical activities, language, motor skills and confidence has come on in leaps and bounds in the last seven months. The nursery staff are wonderful. They are caring and really engage with the children and encourage them
to be themselves. Its been difficult not being able to come into the nursery and see my little one interacting with his surroundings but the app means that the staff can update me on what he is doing, eating and how long he is napping. We get regular development updates from his care worker. It has been a stressful time with Covid-19 but the staff ensure that you feel safe sending your child there in their care. He absolutely loves his days in nursery and always comes out full of energy and happy. I would be happy to recommend Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Hathaway to any prospective parents. The nursery manager is very approachable and always happy to engage with parents and children.

We absolutely love the nursery and have sent both of our children there.
The staff are amazing and to be honest, it is the staff that make the nursery and not the name of the organisation.
The duty of care here is exceptional and the team go above and beyond when it comes to support and looking
after our little ones!

Staff are professional, friendly and genuinely lovely and really do interact with the children, right from entry going in they make them comfortable, from collecting them from the doors even to the point of going home playing and conversating is constant. I think they're wonderful teachers and deserve
a gold star. Collecting my granddaughter I can tell she's happy and had a good day.

My child started at Hungry Caterpillar Hathaway in October 2020, age 8 months. It took him quite a while to settle in as he is a 'lockdown baby' so hadn't had much socialisation or been away from me at all. The staff persevered, went at his pace and helped him to feel safe and confident with them. He
is now more independent, is happy to play alone or with others, eats completely independently and seems to be genuinely enjoying himself and thriving there. Communication with his key worker and other baby room staff is excellent, they post regular updates and the nursery manager is absolutely fantastic and very approachable to chat about any queries or concerns. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hungry Caterpillar, it is a brilliant nursery.

Our daughter has been very happy here for almost 18-months. We will be sending our son too when he is old enough. She attends this branch but also went to another branch for a period during covid partial closures. She enjoyed her time at both, and we have always felt confident that she is well looked
after at nursery.

We absolutely love the nursery and have sent both of our children there. If we had anymore (which we don't) we would absolutely send them here. The staff are amazing and to be honest, it is the staff that make the nursery and not the name of the organisation. I know my eldest missed the nursery when
he left and is always excited when they pick up their sibling. That's a testament in itself. If there are parents there still deciding on Hungry Caterpillar at Hathaway, stop thinking and do it -You won't regret it. Thanks to all of the Staff.

It's an amazing place for kids to learn new skills. When my daughter first joined, she was very shy and now she is a completely different person. Staff are excellent, very helpful and I do recommend Hungry Caterpillar to all my friends.

Staff are friendly and happy to help. Nice outdoor space with different areas for the children to play in. All 3 of my children have attended this nursery and I have felt comfortable leaving them in the nursery's care. My children also enjoyed going.

The staff are incredibly committed and caring. Queries are responded to quickly. My daughter loves attending nursery and has developed her language and communication skills during her time there. She has grown in confidence and is becoming more independent.

My son used to go to this nursery and my daughter is still going. I'm very satisfied with how everybody in the nursery takes care of the children. They have lots of fun and are very happy.

Im happy that the nursery staff take on board the parents' comments and do work with the parents to provide consistency in learning and behaviour. The nursery also sends out regular surveys to allow parents to provide feedback. I do think that more frequent child reviews could happen and I don't know
much about the curriculum on a daily basis (what books were read, what songs are being learnt etc) and so it can be difficult to recap with my son on his day or identify new interests.

The nursery is ideally located with a strong commitment to liasing with parents on their children's development. The outdoor area is large, fun and full of exciting play areas, ideal for little explorers.
My son has been very happy at Hathaway Hungry Caterpillars; he has developed into a bright, happy
and outgoing little boy. I think a lot of this is because of the time he has spent at nursery and the many activities he has been invloved with; day trips, local walks, Juma lessons. I'm very happy with the care my son is provided with.
