Kids Planet Church Walk opened in March 2013 as Twinkles nursery; they were welcomed into the Kids Planet team in April 2022. The nursery has six light and airy rooms alongside a well-equipped outdoor play area. A state-of-the-art fingerprint entry system, magnetic locking doors and an intercom system ensure the children's safety is paramount. Kids Planet also has a high commitment to safeguarding.

Kids Planet strive to give children the best start to life by giving them the confidence to play and learn about the world around them. All children are nurtured and encouraged as they discover their own unique personality and take part in a wide variety of activities to boost their imagination and social skills. Qualified and experienced practitioners help children to learn new skills and develop confidently towards school life.

Parents are kept up-to-date with their child's development and are invited in for regular parent partnership meetings. A monthly newsletter, themed stay and play sessions and fun family events ensure parents become part of the Kids Planet family.

My child first started Twinkles Church Walk last year. The management and staff are so supportive and reassuring. They go above and beyond for me and my son and I can’t thank them enough. Now my son is perfectly happy in preschool, he goes to nursery with a big smile and comes home with one. The feedback
from his day is amazing and the observations are fantastically detailed and I can tell they really know him. All the staff are so polite and welcoming as soon as we step through the door. I enjoy the stay and plays they do, there are wonderful activities set out and it’s fab to see what they get up to through the day. The displays and the set out of the rooms are perfect and the outdoor area is just beautiful. It really is the perfect second home for my child.

This nursery is fantastic! Staff are kind, caring and considerate, they really know the children they are looking after and provide great boundaries and learning opportunities. All children are well-behaved and polite and enjoy all the activities that are open to them within a caring and safe structure.
They enjoy varied activities throughout the week and the food provided is also excellent.

Brilliant nursery! The staff are friendly and my daughter enjoyed her time at Twinkles. The staff really do care about the children. It is also a very clean and tidy nursery with lots of space - would highly recommend.

Excellent staff who are very knowledgeable and caring. My son has thrived so much since the 5 months he has been here. All the staff and management are always going above and beyond to help my child settle and enjoy his time here. They are always reassuring and supportive of your views. Can't fault

The girls taking care of our son are absolutely brilliant, he loves it at nursery and we feel very comfortable knowing he is well looked after. Twinkles could improve their customer focus in their management style, i.e try to remove the corporate chain approach where concerns around billing etc are
dealt with centrally by someone the parents have never even met or spoken to.

My daughter has attended Twinkles for nearly 2 years starting at 9 months.
The care that she has received both developmentally and emotionally has been fantastic.
The children get to spend plenty of time outside and get to go out to local attractions such as the library and Royal Armouries.
I get
regular updates on her development and have had plenty of support as we go through those 'tricky' stages.
A lovely environment and a great size nursery that has a really personal feel.
The meals are all made fresh on site with a wonderful cook. We have full visibility of the monthly menus and again have had real help and support when my little girl wouldn't eat.

My little boy has been attending Twinkles Leeds Church Walk for 2 years and I would highly recommend it. He has had brilliant care and carers all the time he's been there. He's very happy there and talks positively about his carers and other children in his room. The activities are great and he's learning
how to be independent. I get regular updates on his progress and ideas of things to work on with him at home that link to what he is learning at the nursery. The nursery is well-run and there are regular stay and plays which are nice so you can spend time in the nursery with your child. They also go out to play too so they always get fresh air!

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I am the Nursery Manager for Kids Planet Leeds Church Walk. I have been qualified in childcare since 2004 and in management for over 16 years. I am married with 3 grown-up children and 5 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my family in my spare time and taking my puppy out.


I am looking forward to meeting all the families and seeing them progress in their journey.
