Funding & Fees Guide for Stepping Stones Nursery & Pre-School (Claverdon) CIO

  • Registration fee: £30 (does not apply if your child starts Stepping tones the term after they turn 3).
    Full Day to include lunch -8.30-3pm £46.00,
    Full Day to include lunch - 9.15-3pm £40.75,
    Morning to include lunch - 8.30-1.15pm £28.25,
    Morning to include lunch - 9.15- 1.15pm £33.50,
    Early Bird 8.30-9.15 - £5.25,
    Afternoon session - £1.15-3pm

  • Stepping Stones are eligible to receive government funding for your child, starting the term after they turn 3. This entitles your child to receive 15 - 30 funded hours each week, depending on your circumstances. Stepping Stones also welcome families who are eligible for 2help funding.


    With the support of Warwickshire County Council, Stepping Stones are able to offer a limited number of fully funded places. They are also able to provide financial assistance to qualifying attending families via our Access Fund.


    Stepping Stones accept tax free childcare vouchers as part of the Childcare Choices scheme.

We are so pleased with how our daughter has settled in at Stepping Stones, it really feels like the most loving and nurturing environment. We’ve seen her confidence and happiness take huge leaps since she’s joined. The staff are all so caring and attentive, you really couldn’t ask for better. I would
very highly recommend Stepping Stones to those who want a fun and loving environment for their child to grow and learn.

From day one, I felt our children were gently eased into settling into the nursery, which I'm very grateful for. I was impressed with how understanding and flexible the manager was, which I felt helped significantly. What I admire the most is the way this charitable organisation is run - trailered and
prioritised towards both parent and child. I've always felt a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Credit to the manager, keyworker and the rest of the staff, who continue to be very caring and understanding. Thank you, and keep up the great work!

Both of our children have been through Stepping Stones; the youngest with SEN and in his final year. We will be so sad to be leaving the Stepping Stones family.
The staff here have fostered a love of learning in our children, promoting curiosity at every step and providing a range of activities and
opportunities for our children to experience along the way.
Having searched high and low for nurseries/pre-schools, we are delighted to have made the commitment to Stepping Stones and feel that they have given our children the best start in their most important years.
I haven’t seen another establishment even come close to the commitment that Stepping Stones shows our children and families.
The staff go above and beyond, with a passion that shines through our children. I am humbled by their modesty, but if only they knew the impact they have on our day-to-day lives.
Words cannot express how wonderful Stepping Stones is and how fantastic the staff are. We are forever thankful.

Outstanding. We decided to move our child to this fabulous setting to help him with his early years learning, and the difference in a week was incredible! He’s so happy to go to preschool each day, and we’re so happy we made the move. The teacher's expertise and care for each child in this setting cannot
be faulted! We are the lucky ones!

Stepping Stones is a beautiful nursery for children. My daughter loves going and thrives when she is there. The staff are friendly, kind and well educated in childcare. I moved my daughter from another nursery where she hadn’t been happy for over a year. I can say that Stepping Stones Nursery has the most caring and nurturing environment because my daughter was happy and had settled from the start. She used to cry about going to the other nursery, but here she looks
forward to it and is very happy to go in at drop-offs. Thank you to the wonderful staff that work here; they are clearly doing an amazing job. I’ve also only heard the best comments from all the other parents whose children attended Stepping Stones.

We have found Stepping Stones to be a warm, welcoming, nurturing nursery. Our son receives exceptional care and education - the setting has a lovely family feel whilst setting him up well for school. I have felt comfortable leaving him from the first day, and all the staff are excellent; they are kind

We've had two children at Stepping Stones over the past 4-years, and both have absolutely thrived there. They are an incredibly caring, nurturing environment, with an emphasis on having fun, making friends and learning life skills. All children have the opportunity to take part in lots of additional
activities and trips - yoga and multi-sports are both favourites here! - each week they learn something new. They are a very open and communicative team, always looking to support not just the children but the wider family too. I highly recommend Stepping Stones to anyone looking for a smaller village nursery with a nurturing environment and a real community feel.

As a mother of two children with very different emergent special educational needs, I have found the staff at Stepping Stones to be extremely supportive and proactive.
The well-being of each of our children, as an individual, has always been paramount.
As a family, we have always felt we were working
in total partnership with Stepping Stones.
They have fostered and maintained an ongoing dialogue with us and talked to us about ways forward with openness and sensitivity, during what has sometimes been very difficult times.

Both my boys are at Stepping Stones. It really is the most incredible nursery. It took me a long time to find a nursery, and as soon as I spoke to the head, I knew it was the right one. I always say it’s like leaving your children with family members as the staff are so friendly, genuinely love teaching
the children and want the best for them. I have weekly updates from their key workers, which is extremely informative. They have so much fun learning; you can see that lots of hard work goes into their planning, making sure the children have a variety of activities.
I highly recommend Stepping Stones.

My second daughter is in her final year at this fantastic pre-school, having been there for 2-years already. The staff are outstanding, fun, caring and so knowledgable and experienced. The fact that it’s a community charity rather than a commercial business means you know the top priority is the happiness,
well-being and development of the children. Our experience has been such a positive one.
My daughter adores her key worker and is being so well prepared for school!

My youngest child started here in September, following his brother's footsteps. I am absolutely thrilled with the preschool and the staff; they are all exceptional. My youngest absolutely loves Stepping Stones (as did his brother). He goes in every day with a huge smile and always comes out with one
too! I couldn't think of a better caring and nurturing place for my children to go. Highly recommend.

My little boys have attended this nursery from 3, I just loved the preschool element on a Monday where they really concentrate on getting them ready for school. Both my boys have loved it, and they get so excited about going. They love the staff and have made great friends there. This nursery is such
a fabulous place to set the foundations for both my boys for future years and so glad I found it for them both. I love how you can be really involved as a parent too if you choose to be.


I have no doubt that when my youngest son is ready to start school, he will be very ready, thanks so much.

My daughter absolutely loves it at Stepping Stones. She goes in smiling and comes out laughing and giggling! What more can you ask for! The staff are amazing - gentle and kind and full of fun! They take great care and attention to each child’s needs and desires/preferences and really make them feel
at ease. And us, parents too!


Great set up and outdoor space - they are always doing something new! It’s a calm environment and everything always seems so under control even though kids are getting stuck in and messy and having fun! The manager and her team are truly talented and passionate about what they do. So happy to have found this setting for our daughter and would recommend so very highly. A great supportive and involved community to be part of as well. Thank you.

Stepping Stones is a wonderful nursery with excellent, caring and fun staff. It has a large open plan hall with a wealth of resources, toys and games and a wonderful garden for the children to explore, learn new skills, use up their energy and have plenty of fresh countryside air.

with our choice, and both our young girls have loved attending and spending time with the team.
