Nurtured Nursery, which was graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in January 2018 and again in January 2023, offers a high standard of care and education for young children, based in its beautiful building and gardens, within the spectacular grounds of St Winnow Primary School.

Children are cared for by experienced well qualified staff who nurture children's well being and provide a wide range of engaging activities and resources both inside and out. Children are encouraged to express themselves creatively, and extend their physical capabilities through exploration of the natural environment. Following the EYFS curriculum ensures children are learning at their highest level, while supported by knowledgeable staff, in a safe and caring environment.

Parents are highly valued by staff and are wholeheartedly included in their child's learning journey. Children are given ample settling in sessions as required, to ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery, their routines are followed and their particular interests are provided for.

Respect for global issues is encouraged through an environmentally friendly approach within the setting. Children help with recycling. Investment is made in lasting toys, products and furnishings. Food is grown on site which the children plant, nurture, harvest and cook. The nursery chef prepares healthy meals and snacks using local produce prepared from scratch, which the children enjoy together with staff.

My youngest daughter has been at Nurtured since she was 9 months old and I had to go back to work earlier than I wanted. She has thrived there and loves the baby room staff completely! This is so reassuring. I love the photo books that record her journey there it's a beautiful thing to keep and so personal!
She's ready to move to the toddler room and the staff are so caring to slowly transition her across. My eldest daughter is 5 and, it's the same staff there who know both my daughters and us as a family which means so much to us in terms of consistency and staff retention. I highly recommend this nursery, especially as a mum who felt so torn about returning to work.

This nursery is absolutely incredible. The staff have been absolutely fantastic, not just to our daughter, but our entire family.
Our daughter has loved every minute at this nursery and has grown from strength to strength both in her understanding of the world and her vocabulary, especially when making
friends with the other children and the staff.

Our son started at nursery and we had heard wonderful things about Nurtured. They were above our expectations (which were high with an outstanding Ofsted rating). The staff become family to your child and they care so much about them and go above and beyond every session. The facilities are outstanding
but the care and attention they offer our son is beyond what you could hope for. I recommend this wonderful nursery to anyone. They listen to any concerns and help bring out the best in your child and work very hard to support where needed. The communication is there every day as well as written, in a journal, via your key or even bumping into them in the supermarket! The incredible staff make this wonderful facility the best you will ever find and we are so lucky to have this super team locally. The waiting list can be long - they are so good everyone wants their child to come here! Our son absolutely loves it at Nurtured and the team behind it. Thank you so much Nurtured! 10 out of 10!

My daughter has attended Nurtured Nursery for a few months now and I have absolutely no complaints. From the offset, all of the staff have been friendly and helpful and so welcoming. I was very anxious about her starting nursery, but the staff were amazing with helping us both settle in. The communication
from the admin and all staff is great. The baby and toddler staff fill in a little diary of what the children have eaten/napped and it’s so helpful to have that written down. The facilities there are amazing, the first time even looking round the place I knew it was going to be great just to see how much thought has been put into it all. The food that they receive is so well planned and made I have no worries about what my child is eating during their time there! I’m sure I couldn’t recommend the nursery more, it is beyond excellent.

We recently moved our daughter from a different nursery as we were moving house and Nurtured Nursery made the whole thing so smooth. We had delays with the move and they were really understanding and accommodating to that. Our daughter has now been attending nurtured for three months and she's so happy
there. The staff are incredible, our daughter loves going there way more than the previous nursery and we thought they had set the bar high! I highly recommend Nurtured to anyone looking for childcare in the area.

The team in the baby room have been so wonderful with my little boy. He loves coming to the nursery, and he gets excited when we arrive. They are so caring and patient towards him. He has built a lovely relationship with one member of staff especially, and we are pleased with everything that Nurtured

Nurtured is THE most amazing nursery! From the very first contact, all the way through until my son's last day the staff were outstanding. I literally cannot praise them enough for the care they showed my son. They were also professional and knowledgeable about child development. They spent time really
getting to know my son and noticed the little things. He loved going there and is missing them now he is in school. They are everything we wanted in a nursery and more. They are well organised, with good communication. My son has additional needs and he had the best support provided to him by the SENDCo and the whole team. No one cares for your child like you do, but Nurtured come very close! Thank you Nurtured Nursery.

I can't recommend Nurtured Nursery enough, my daughter is now in the preschool and she loves it! She looks forward to going every day and has made some lovely little friends. Each member of staff are caring knowledgeable and approachable and she adores them all. The activities are creative and each
meal and snack nutritious and delicious (according to my daughter)!

My daughter attended this nursery since she was 9 months old and has moved up through the nursery from the baby room to the toddler room and then to the preschool.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming and make you feel at ease they are all so lovely and seem to really enjoy their jobs and have all
been there for a really long time.
The nursery is wonderful it’s such a beautiful setting with amazing outdoor space and lovely indoor rooms.
Healthy dinners are also cooked onsite by an amazing chef.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough I really wouldn’t have sent my daughter anywhere else and I am really doing to miss this place!

My daughter previously attended Nurtured Nursery and loved it so it was an easy decision to enrol my son towards the end of last year at 9 months. He is currently in the baby room where he receives excellent care. He loves the days he goes to nursery and is always full of smiles when I collect him.
All the staff are super friendly and genuinely care about giving the children the best experience possible. They always plan a variety of different activities helping children reach their milestones through play.


The facilities are excellent inside and out, always clean. The food is also great. The communication, billing and admin side of things runs smoothly, whenever I've had a query it's been resolved quickly. I looked at a lot of nurseries before first visiting Nurtured, none of them quite measured up. Nurtured Nursery felt right straight away because they have the balance of everything just right.


Can't recommend them highly enough.

My child loves this nursery, every day that she attends she gets excited that she’s going. This in itself speaks volumes. They spend a lot of time outside and this works well for my child. Playing in the garden, playing with sand/water. They even have picnics outside in the summer.
They do lots of
role-playing and art activities. The food is cooked on-site by a cook every day and it’s a good menu.


The staff are very friendly and easy to communicate with. Get verbal feedback every day and then they also have individual child booklets to show progress with pictures which are a great keepsake.

Our eldest son is absolutely loving his time at nursery and we love hearing his feedbacks from there with so much joy and enthusiasm, he has started in the baby room and now is in the toddler room.
Fabulous and friendly team. Brilliant outdoor areas! Great and healthy menus.
Very excited about the
new building project! Well done everyone and our youngest one will be joining soon and I am sure he will love it too!

We are huge fans of Nurtured Nursery St Winnow in our household, with all three of my children having attended and thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The staff are always so caring, compassionate and understanding of each child as a unique little person, and they are always happy to do what they can
to help each child feel safe and settled. You feel like you are leaving your children with extended family who genuinely care about your child. They keep the environment stimulating and interesting, with spaces for downtime available where needed. The outdoor space is also great and I know they are making improvements to the environment all the time, with exciting new building work planned which will no doubt further enhance the service that they offer. The staff are amazing, some of which have seen all three of my children pass through the nursery which I believe speaks volumes for nurtured as an organisation who not only nurture the children that attend but their staff too. highly recommend.

From day one, the staff at Nurtured Nursery St Winnow have been incredible. Every staff member has been welcoming, supportive and has made sure that my wife and I are kept informed about our daughter's progress, and what she's up to week-to-week.
I would especially like to highlight how amazing our
daughter's key worker has been. In the relatively short time that our daughter has been going to Nurtured Nursery, it's clear to see the relationship that she has developed with her and you can tell that she's always excited to go to nursery.
We wouldn't want our daughter to go anywhere else.

Nurtured Nursery is amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. My daughter absolutely loves it, each day I pick her up I have to drag her away. All the staff are brilliant and form such close bonds with the children. I will definitely be sending my son when the time comes.

Our daughter has been at Nurtured Nursery St Winnow since she was 1 year old and from the very start, we have been delighted with the care she receives. From the moment we dropped her off on her first day we were put at ease by the key workers who helped us through the troublesome toddler and toilet
training stage, and who got her ready to start at ‘big’ school, absolutely all the staff are fantastic here! They genuinely care about each child and help them develop both their social skills and educational needs, and the chef for preparing all the meals does a fantastic job of providing a varied, healthy, and delicious menu (our daughter loves the fish pie and the puddings!), and the Manager is always helpful, flexible and swift to reply with all of our random questions. The outside spaces are great and you know the children are always outside having fun, even in the rain! If you’re not sure where to send your child to nursery, look no further you won’t regret it!

Fantastic Nursery and an incredible staff who work so hard providing the best possible care for your child and also as a family. We as a family cannot thank them enough for all the love and care they have provided for our children over a number of years. Our last child is off to school and is so ready

This Nursery is truly exceptional. The staff make this place special going above and beyond creating an environment that not only teaches your child the skills necessary to transition into school with ease but grow on a personal level as well. As my last child leaves I can say without a doubt I am thankful
and proud my son and his sister experienced Nurtured Nursery St Winnow. They have helped my son both emotionally and mentally be prepared for the next step of his journey through life. They are caring, kind and supportive at all times. They encourage growth at a child by child pace. They share their kind and caring natures with the children and this reflects in my sons learnt compassion and kindness. If you choose Nurtured your child will receive a premier experience of child care without equal. My child is happier for being there.
