Nurtured Nursery, which was graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in January 2018 and again in January 2023, offers a high standard of care and education for young children, based in its beautiful building and gardens, within the spectacular grounds of St Winnow Primary School.

Children are cared for by experienced well qualified staff who nurture children's well being and provide a wide range of engaging activities and resources both inside and out. Children are encouraged to express themselves creatively, and extend their physical capabilities through exploration of the natural environment. Following the EYFS curriculum ensures children are learning at their highest level, while supported by knowledgeable staff, in a safe and caring environment.

Parents are highly valued by staff and are wholeheartedly included in their child's learning journey. Children are given ample settling in sessions as required, to ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery, their routines are followed and their particular interests are provided for.

Respect for global issues is encouraged through an environmentally friendly approach within the setting. Children help with recycling. Investment is made in lasting toys, products and furnishings. Food is grown on site which the children plant, nurture, harvest and cook. The nursery chef prepares healthy meals and snacks using local produce prepared from scratch, which the children enjoy together with staff.

Wonderfully caring team. Lots of activities and just a great atmosphere. Felt very well looked after during the settling in period. The activities are varied and the outside space is great. We look forward to having more sessions.

My son has been coming since he was seven months old and he loves it! I couldn't recommend Nurtured Nursery St Winnow enough, all the staff are lovely and always go above and beyond expectations. The nursery has a relaxed atmosphere, I feel confident leaving my son knowing that he is well taken care
of and having lots of fun, whilst they promote learning. The daily diary is a lovely touch and keeps me well informed about my son's day. I'm so pleased my child goes here! Would highly recommend.

Excellent nursery, couldn’t fault them for their care and support of our two little ones through age 1 to 4. Our children love to going too and they know the children well, helping them nurture their interests and learning through play. They also support the parents with transitions and have been really

I couldn't recommend Nurtured Nursery enough, all the staff are lovely, clearly enjoy their jobs and go above and beyond expectations. I'm so pleased my children go here!
My eldest son often struggles with people but he has taken to the staff so well!

The staff are incredibly supportive, professional and friendly. They have done an amazing job helping both my son and myself during a very difficult period.
The team in the pre-school room have been so considerate and knowledgable with care and informing myself of the best ways to continue his growth
out of nursery.
They are always ready to listen, caring for each and every child's individual needs, I can't recommend them enough.

We absolutely love our nursery. Both of our kids have flourished into amazingly bright human beings, especially since attending pre-school more regularly. The transition to school for our eldest child was seamless and we'll miss all the team when our youngest goes to school in September.

I was a very nervous mum leaving my son at nursery as I have never left him before. I truly can't rate Nurtured Nursery enough, they welcomed him with open arms and made me feel very comfortable and happy leaving my son in their care. They have worked wonders with helping him with his speech and eating
habits. I'm going to be sad when he leaves to start school.

Both of my children have attended this nursery. My eldest son, now six, is a confident, outgoing and bright young boy all thanks to Nurtured. He attended from eight months and settled in amazingly. The staff are amazing and will help with any queries and questions that you have in a professional yet
personal manner and I feel as though they are very approachable because of this. They have a fantastic knowledge of each child and completely understand that what works for one child, might not for another. My youngest son who started attending at eight months also, is a much more timid boy yet the staff know exactly how to help him settle in and come out of his shell. Key workers are carefully selected so that the child has an adult they can communicate well with and one that they have a good relationship and bond with. I have left both my sons at Nurtured every day, safe in the knowledge that the staff will do what is right and safe for my children. I cannot recommend highly enough .

My son has been at the nursery for two months now and he has loved it from day one! The staff are extremely friendly and caring and I can tell that my son trusts and likes them. I have been so pleased with his physical and mental development which reassures me that he is receiving top-rate stimulation
for his age. He's always excited to arrive and still happy at hometime.

Staff are warm, welcoming and very attentive to my child and his needs. The nursery has a calm atmosphere and I feel confident leaving my son knowing that he is well taken care of.

My little girl has had the best time at Nurtured.
She has made some fabulous friends that she will move onto school with.
She has also grown so much as a person and is achieving above and beyond thanks to the fabulous team that all look after her.
The level of care is outstanding as is their response
to emails etc.
As excited as we are for the next chapter of school, I can honestly say I am going to miss the team at nurtured so very much.
If you want your little person to have a kind, loving and nurturing environment whilst you aren’t able to have them, then this is the perfect setting.

We have found Nurtured Nursery to be an absolutely amazing setting for our son. The staff are attentive, caring and brilliant fun. They plan the day so well and our son seems to enjoy everything they do. The facilities are outstanding as is the food. The children always seem happy and excited to be
there. The communication between staff and parent is excellent as are the learning journey books.

Our son recently started at Nurtured Nursery in the baby room and we cannot recommend this nursery enough. The staff are always happy, kind and helpful and will always go that extra mile. The facilities they have there are wonderful, with forest school for the older children, a lovely outdoor garden
for the toodles and a lovely outdoor patio area for the babies. The meals they give the children are amazing, we always joke that our son eats better at nursery than we do! Before we found Nurtured I couldn’t imagine ever feeling comfortable leaving our son at a nursery and going to work for the day but knowing they look after him so well and seeing how happy he is there has made that a much easier process. We particularly like the little review book the staff fill out each day that tells you exactly what he’s eaten/nappy changes/bottles etc. I honestly cannot recommend Nurtured Nursery enough.

Well what can I say - I can’t fault this nursery. My boys are 4 and 2 years old both been there since around 9 months old. They love it. Very welcoming staff, lots to do, good food, great outdoor space and they learn so much. They have gone above and beyond for us the last few months - Such a lovely

Our daughter absolutely loves the nursery as do we. All the staff are amazing with the children. They focus on learning through play and use so many great activities with a real focus on outdoor learning. My daughter loves it so much we have to book in sessions during the holidays because she misses
it so much.


The managers and staff are so accommodating that nothing ever feels like too much trouble. Healthy home cooked food that my daughter loves is a huge bonus.


I can’t recommend nurtured enough.

She led her team towards an Outstanding Ofsted inspection in January 2018 and constantly strives to achieve the best provision for young children at Nurtured that she can. She is a qualified teacher, with a wealth of experience in early years education.
