Overall Experience

The earlier years setting at the school offers a rare offering that I have come to value above other nurseries. They provide exceptional care and setting for my child but what is the step up is the educational activities. We have used in the recent past a highly rated standard format nursery setting

for our eldest, but when we shifted to using this earlier years nursery setting within Moorlands School, we noticed a real improvement on reading, numbers, speaking, behaviour and confidence. It is a perfect and rare blend of a well-equipped and fun nursery with the professionalism of staff and experience that provide exceptional education support. My only regret was not finding this opportunity sooner for our eldest.

Overall Experience

Moorlands Nursery is truly excellent. The children have such a wide variety of activities and the staff show genuine care and concern for every child. Our daughter thrived in the environment and has consequently had a seamless transition into Reception. The nursery is well integrated with the school

and they operate a fantastic buddy system with older children which further strengthens the ties but also gives a sense of responsibility for the older ones.

Overall Experience

Not to be confused with the separate, independent nursery within the school grounds, the Early Years Department at Moorlands School is an absolute gem. Both our children have been, or are going through it and we couldn’t be more pleased.
The staff, guided by the manager are all superb and the children

seem to thrive in the warm and supportive environment they create. It is a school-based nursery so there is a focus on education resulting in children being gently prepared for the challenges of school; but there are also a whole host of extracurricular activities on offer (e.g. swimming, rugby, ballet, dance, music and forest school - many are included within the standard fees) which are fantastic and make the nursery difficult to beat.
Our two children always come home happy, fulfilled and raring to go back which, as parents, is all we feel we can ask for.

Overall Experience

I cannot recommend Moorlands highly enough, our eldest has been there for just over a year, and our youngest has just started. The staff are exceptional. The time spent and care given to nurture our children has been outstanding. Both children are very happy to go and tell us all about their day, which

includes a variety of activities such as swimming, forest school, French and phonics. The outdoor play area is also a lovely space, well utilised so the children have plenty of outdoor time.
We have seen a huge development in our eldest since he has been going there, especially in building relationships with other children, but most impressively in his ability with numbers and letters. The children are constantly stimulated with different activities and encouraged to try new things in a fun and friendly learning environment.

Overall Experience

We cannot recommend Moorlands Nursery highly enough. Our son joined in September. His transition from home to nursery was managed with care, support and love.
He is excited to go to Moorlands each morning which is such a pleasure and comfort to me.
His development and learning through play is incredible

to witness.
Moorlands early years team are dedicated and genuinely care about the children in their class. The children form close knit friendships due to the small classes.
We couldn’t be happier with the journey our little boy is enjoying. Moorlands is more than a nursery - it is a wonderful and fun place for children to learn and develop to bring out their best abilities.

Overall Experience

We have three boys at Moorlands School and our youngest started when he was two years old. He is now in Reception. Our experience has been so positive and it just gets better and better.
The staff are absolutely amazing especially the nursery and early years staff. We drop off our children everyday

feeling very confident that they will be well looked after and develop well in all areas. Our youngest was a bit difficult to settle down and would not eat independently but honestly, the amount of effort and patience put into him by the staff has surpassed our expectations and now he is a very happy and independent young boy.
We would not hesitate one bit to highly recommend such a beautiful professional caring and family orientated nursery/school for your child/children to start their school journey successfully.

Overall Experience

We transferred our eldest son from a private nursery to Moorlands when he was 3 years old. Looking back, It was the best decision that we have made and we would have placed him at Moorlands earlier if we knew about this gem. Within two weeks of being there, we were amazed by his progress in development

from concentration, independence through to speech. The nurturing offered by the experienced staff combined with the many opportunities my son had in speaking to large groups of audiences and enjoying a wide range of activities encouraging imaginations, he has now progressed into a confident 6 year old in year 2, who regularly tells me how much he loves school.

Since then, we have placed our two younger children at Moorlands as soon as they turned 2, who are thriving and are equally enjoying their time there.

We are delighted to have found this wonderful school, with such a friendly atmosphere, who we believe will develop our children into well rounded individuals.

Overall Experience

Excellent opportunities provided for my little boy who's just turned 3. He started there when he was 2&1/2.
He especially enjoys the forest school and the music sessions. He's always very excited to go to his 'big school' (which he thinks it is as he gets to wear a uniform like his big brother)
I

especially like the fact that there are focused literacy and numeracy sessions as well as opportunities to take part in PE, French classes, and swim sessions within the school day. (They have to be fully toilet trained to access the swimming). Focused sessions along with ample outside space/ access to sports hall etc is the main reason we changed him to Moorlands from his previous day nursery.

Overall Experience

My youngest daughter started in Moorlands as soon as she turned 2 and has now progressed into the Reception class. She is extremely happy at Moorlands, as is my eldest daughter. Both girls have thrived with all of the opportunities on offer - dance, drama, swimming, sports, music and bushcraft, the

list of activities goes on. It is not all play time though, and from an early age the children are encouraged to develop their reading, writing and numeracy and we have been extremely pleased with the educational development of both girls.

The staff are excellent - leaving a child in nursery is so much easier when they rush over to give the teacher a hug in the morning.

We have been delighted that we found Moorlands, a beautiful school with a wonderful atmosphere and very happy children.

Overall Experience

Three of our children have progressed through Moorlands, all starting in the nursery. Our son is currently in Foxes. The setting, staff and care provided are fabulous. The range of subjects and extra-curricular activities on offer in the nursery are second-to-none and include swimming, rugby tots, cricket,

and dance amongst others. Our son is confident, progressing well and very, very happy at Moorlands as are our other children. A super school with a wonderful family community. Highly recommended.

Overall Experience

Moorlands provides an excellent nursery setting. The facilities and learning opportunities are brilliant. Each day is so varied with dance, swimming, forest school all on offer.

Overall Experience

The team and facilities at Moorlands are excellent and provide a wonderful environment for children to flourish.
My son attended Squirrels from 2 years of age and settled very quickly due to the warmth of the caring team and the range of activities to keep him stimulated.
He is now in Foxes and loves

it. Every day provides a range of stimulating activities including; forest school, swimming, PE, rugby tots, cooking, crafts and even learning some French.
I recommend Moorlands nursery to everyone looking for a caring, stimulating and friendly place for their child to grow.
