I cannot recommend Colchester Prep & High School Nursery highly enough! Our daughter has been enjoying
attending this setting for over two years now, she joined when she was two years old. The nursery manager and her wonderful team are nurturing and very caring - it is a positive, safe and kind environment
which our daughter has really thrived in - we feel she has had the best possible start to her education, thanks to the hard work, dedication and experienced team at CPHS - thank you!

My daughter started at Colchester High School Nursery when she was just two years old, and she has absolutely thrived here. As she prepares to move on to primary school this September, I can confidently say that her time at the nursery has been nothing short of amazing.
The nurturing and dedicated
staff have played a huge role in her development, creating a warm and stimulating environment where she felt safe and happy every day. The learning opportunities provided have helped her grow in confidence, independence, and social skills, all while having so much fun.
I'm incredibly grateful for the care and support she has received, and I highly recommend Colchester High School Nursery to any parent looking for a fantastic early years experience for their child!

Our little boy joined the nursery in September, after his second birthday. We are so happy with it and the way he talks about what he does is phenomenal. He goes in to early morning breakfast club without any issues. We know and trust that all the staff there know him and will look out for him. He even
greets the teachers from the main school and they always smile back. Each day we get feedback in the notebook or through the online portal.
He has made friends, thrived in the small group sizes and gets to learn lessons like French, Computing and Music. He also attends Forest School once a week which he really enjoys. He loves playing in the outdoor space and will tell us what he has been learning or doing each day.
We've watched him grow and develop in the space of 6 months into an even more confident and happy child.
I have recommended the Nursery to many of my friends because we have nothing bad to say.

My kids love their school and have made new friends. They are more confident and expressive which is great. The kids are getting used to eating out and interacting with other kids politely. Definitely keeping them here and recommending to other parents.

We transferred our 3 year old daughter to Colchester Prep and High School Nursery midway through the year as we were dissatisfied with her previous nursery. Within 2 days of starting, she had bonded with the staff, settled into the routines and was excited about going into nursery in the morning and
asking to attend on more days. This year she is absolutely loving nursery still, and gaining great enjoyment from the wide range of activities available, including phonics, music, PE, cookery, forest school. We are delighted with the way she is being supported in her early years learning and it is all testament to the sensitivity, care and professionalism of the fantastic nursery team. Our younger daughter will be joining as soon as she turns 2. A really wonderful environment!

We couldn't be happier with the exceptional care and education provided by the nursery. The facilities are second to none, offering an enriching and immersive environment where every corner inspires learning and exploration. The leadership and staff at CPHS are exceptional. Their dedication to providing a safe, nurturing environment is evident in every interaction. Regular updates and open communication reassure us our son is in great hands.
They truly understand the needs of each child and go above and beyond to ensure
they feel happy and supported every step of the way. Starting nursery was a big step for my shy son, the staff were patient and kind helping him settle, and he’s now thriving.

My child absolutely thrives in this setting. My child receives personalised, professional and experienced care. Activities are effectively matched to meet his needs meaning that he is eager to learn and has a real sense of achievement with his learning. The wealth of knowledge that the team have exceeded

I love the nursery which has been great for my children. It has been lovely to see them thrive in the supportive environment offered; learning to write their names, recognise letters, handle computers, and learn French. My little boy can't wait to go to Colchester High School Nursery each morning and the way he has developed and grown since he joined has been wonderful to see.
The nursery staff have given my son and us as a family such great support since he joined. They have really made the effort to get to know
him, what he likes/doesn’t like and helped encourage him when needed. We are always welcomed each morning by staff with smiles on their faces who genuinely seem to love the children and it's clear it is a very happy place. The staff are kind, reassuring and supportive and my son has formed really lovely relationships with them as well as starting to make some friendships with his peers. The children participate in a variety of activities indoor and outdoor, they have a lovely nursery outdoor play area. They also take part each day in a school-type lesson (PE, music, ICT etc) which I feel has really started to prepare him for school life. Thank you to the team at Colchester High School Nursery.

I joined CHS in 1994 as a Nursery Practitioner and in 2012 proudly became the Nursery Manager, EY’s Years Designated Safeguarding Lead followed by Head of Early Years. I have attended numerous courses, including paediatric First Aid 12-hour training. I am passionate in my role of Nursery Manager in providing the very best care and education for our Nursery children. I love to stand back and observe the children exploring, playing, engaging in activities, their enthusiasm inspires me and makes me think how I can use my knowledge or maybe research new knowledge to further extend their learning and exploration.
