Situated in Windsor town centre, William Street is a small and welcoming nursery close to the river and the railway station. The nursery is well designed with the capacity to meet the needs of children from three months to five years and is registered to take 50 children.

The nursery has a well equipped baby unit supporting under twos with their development through sensory exploration. The staff are caring and attentive and work hard to meet the needs of the individual children.

Within the 2-3 year old unit, the children's day starts to become more structured to prepare them for Preschool. The team introduce circle times and more structured activities to ensure the children are secure in their prime areas of learning

When the children reach the age of 3 years, the transition into Preschool, the team promote and scaffold the children's learning by building on what they already know to help promote their independence, confidence, self esteem, communication and language skills and health and hygiene.

William Street has a well-designed secure outdoor play area and is situated close to the river and green spaces, where the children can go out on trips into the local area and get involved with activities happening in the local community.

If you are interested in registering your child/or would like to book a personal tour please get in contact with the Nursery Manager.

Very big rooms to enable children to have lots of space to explore. They are always doing different and varied activities whilst incorporating learning through play.

Updated regularly through an app of what they have been doing throughout the day with lots of videos, pictures and observations to

see.

My little boy always comes home covered in paint and messy play ingredients which is a very good sign of a good productive and happy day!

Staff always are there to listen and help in any way they can and adapt to how your child is feeling and in need of that day. Food is varied and plentiful.

My Daughter joined William Street Nursery in 2016. The staff is friendly and go the extra mile to get the children settled in. We are very happy with the facilities and the support provided to the children for their development. Would highly recommend them to friends and family.

The nursery is well managed. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. My son is in the baby room and he bounces up and down with excitement when we arrive at door of the nursery to buzz in, so that will tell you how happy and settled he is there. I feel he is well looked after, he is free to explore
and get involved in a wide range of activities during the day and he eats well.

My son is very happy at the nursery. He is well taken care of and seems to learn well in the setting. Personally I am impressed with the staff who I feel know him very well.

My daughter has been with this nursery since she was 13 months old when I returned to work part time. She is now approaching 2 and a half and has progressed through the "baby room", "toddlers" and is preparing to go to pre school next month. Countryside has been key in her development into a confident,
articulate and wonderful little character- the staff there really knew her and encouraged her learning. The settling in period at the beginning is invaluable for any parent returning to work and Countryside were highly supportive when I moved to work and helped feel at ease with the transition.

My daughter started at William Street Day Nursery in May 2015 and has settled in well. The nursery offered a home visit, followed by settling in sessions so the transition was good. The staff are friendly and caring and provide a very thorough handover at the end of the day. The nursery manages my daughter's
cows milk allergy really well providing a dairy free diet for her. Staff turnover seems quite high- 2 out of the 3 baby room staff have left since we started but perhaps that is to be expected.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.333)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.333) out of 10 for William Street Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.533 for William Street Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (94 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (8 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 120 Ratings = 4.533

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for William Street Nursery is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 50 number of registered child places is 10. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 10 = 0.9

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My Name is Kerri, I have been working within the childcare sector for over 10 years. I love the reward of seeing the children progress and building up relationships with families. I am a trained and certified Baby Massage instructor and I held courses for families when I worked in a children’s centre as an outreach worker. I am also trained in breastfeeding, nutrition and weaning, safeguarding, Senco, behaviour management, first aid, food hygiene as well as more. I also achieved a gold award in my early years at a previous setting which I am very proud of.

I have a crazy dog at home called Rupert and in my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner and his two children Molly and George. We love going to the cinema to watch the latest films and swimming. I also enjoy going out with my friends for afternoon tea or a theatre show.
