Buttercups Teddington is a homely nursery conveniently located on the High Street. It's a very popular nursery and they are pleased to announce that they are expanding to include the building next door. This will give children more space to play and learn.

As with all Buttercups nurseries, the team encourage children to learn through play. This allows them to be led by their natural curiosity, promoting development, confidence and independence. The team adopt a variety of teaching approaches including Montessori and HighScope and they incorporate as much time as possible to engage with nature and the great outdoors.

Buttercups develop the skills and qualifications of the team through extensive in-house training programmes and external courses, allowing them to be the best they can be for all children.

My daughter started at Buttercups a few months ago. She is very happy there and to date, I have been delighted with pretty much every aspect of the nursery.
The size of the nursery means getting to know the staff and other parents/babies/children is much easier than at larger nurseries. The garden
is lovely and they make a real effort to get all the children outside every day. The staff are wonderful and genuinely seem to care.

Our two young sons attended Buttercups day nursery in Teddington for 2 years. During that time the staff were always loving and caring towards them. They did many different activities on a daily basis and generally were very happy, settled and content both with staff and other children.
The garden
was an excellent space and well equipped with toys and for our eldest they helped him to read and encourage him to 'enjoy' learning, leaving him very ready to enjoy reception.


I trusted them completely with my children and would certainly recommend the nursery to other parents.

My child attends nursery 4 sessions a week and absolutely loves it. He throws himself into his carer's arms every morning and is happy and content when we pick him up. Each day there is a new activity for the children to explore and enjoy. The nursery recently hired a new manager, and I personally think
it's for the better. Communication is excellent now, and they are very responsive to input.

My little one started at the nursery from only a few months old and she enjoys every day at the nursery. She surprises me every day with something new learned from the nursery, like new words, new games, new songs. They got really nice and caring staff.

Fantastic nursery with a warm welcoming and homely feel and a fun garden space. My daughter goes in happily every day and loves her time at nursery. She's doing very well with her colouring and pencil control as they are now working on letter formation. She looks forward to Spanish club every week -
a great club.

Both my daughters have attended the nursery, the eldest now having left to go to school. They settled very quickly and easily, always looked forward to 'nursery days' and came home with new creations daily, be that pictures, art work, baked goods or new songs they have learnt! My youngest adores the
garden and the activities they do in it as well as the free play time when she loves running around. She describes her nursery friends as 'best friends' and looks forward to going in to see them! We have decided to keep my youngest daughter there rather than moving her to a school 'pre-school setting' because she is so settled and progressing very well. I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending them.
