Cannot recommend Apple Daycare Dhoon House enough. My 14-month-old daughter absolutely loves being here and seems to have a great relationship with all the practitioners. The staff are so attentive and loving, we feel so lucky to be able to send our daughter here. I love how much time she spends outside
and the additional clubs that come in during the week - singing and dancing, arts and crafts, and sensory play. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our daughter.

Both of our children have attended Apple Daycare at both the House and Newgate Street and we have had a wonderful 4 years. The staff have been amazing and were particularly brilliant when our son developed a severe nut allergy to ensure his safety. They have always shown so much love, care and kindness
to both our son and daughter we have always felt confident leaving them whilst we have to work. Our son flourished in the care of the pre-school teacher and is now more than ready for 'big' school as a result of her teaching. The Apple Daycare manager and owners have been flexible and supportive in helping us to achieve the best value for money - often adding extra days when we need at short notice (staff ratio permitting!) and helping us to make the best use of Government free hours and funding. One thing we have particularly loved about Apple Daycare is the brilliant array of external providers that come in across the week to enrich the curriculum (e.g. dancing!). We couldn't have asked for more!

Apple Daycare Hertford has been absolutely wonderful for both of my sons. Compared with a previous nursery my eldest attended the value for money is excellent because it has so many external providers coming into the setting to run sports, circus, dancing, etc. It really does add to the overall fun
they have. The learning in creative ways is also excellent and I feel they have both been so well prepared for school. I love the wonderful fields that surround the nursery and the large indoor space they have in the hall. Tapestry updates are excellent and we receive multiple photos and updates daily. I am sad for them to leave as know they truly have been really well cared for and have loved their time here. I'd have no hesitation to recommend the nursery.

My daughter went to Apple for four years and my son has been going for a year now. The staff are always friendly and are fantastic with the kids. They have a great variety of activities every day and provide the kids with a wonderful range of activities.

Both of my children have attended this nursery; the eldest has gone off to school where the teacher commented on how far advanced Apple children alway seem, particularly with writing and drawing. Aside from that, I’ve always been pleased and very relaxed leaving my children with the lovely staff at
Apple. They provide a very warm and welcoming atmosphere especially for the young ones being in a home environment where they instantly feel at ease. I’m also particularly pleased with the focus on outdoor learning and getting the kids outside. My son started at 14 months and he’s loved it from the moment he started. For the older ones (two and a half to school age) there is a vast array of daily activities for the children. Over the years my daughter partook in horse riding, tennis, martial arts, ballet, street dance, circus skills, football, mandarin, drama - to name but a few! She was so sad to leave but when she did she came out happy, confident in her abilities and school-ready.

Our 2 years old started at Apple as a baby and has loved it ever since. I can see that he very much benefits from this place in terms of his development, especially now when he is older and takes part in various new activities. Still, I appreciate the most how much the practitioners care about him.
I would really struggle otherwise to leave him at any nursery, but here I feel they really do care. The management is also excellent, always understanding and very helpful.

Both my daughters have attended Apple Daycare, my youngest still does, my eldest left to go to school but attended for four years. I can honestly not recommend Apple Daycare more. They are absolutely amazing, the owners are so accommodating and amazing with me and my children. They really have attention
to detail when it comes to the early learning and have always kept me informed with the progress of my daughters' education. The team is honestly amazing, like family to me. My daughters adore them and see them all like family. I will be so upset when my youngest has to leave to go to school as they love it there always so happy to go. They have great activities also ones that normal nurseries wouldn’t accommodate. Such great experiences and memories made at Apple, can’t recommend more! Thanks, Apple Daycare.

Two of my girls had the privilege of being at this nursery from ten months old. My eldest was able to be there for a little over three years. All of the staff are kind caring and friendly. The activities that they are able to do there are exceptional, yoga, tennis, mandarin, drama and dance to name
just a few. If you want a truly caring and personal team to look after both you and your children then I highly recommend Apple. We only left there because we moved area and it has been the hardest thing to do. Thank you to you all, you made the early years for my children, magical, active, informative and educational all rolled into one and the children have always been excited to go.

This is an amazing nursery. My eldest was there 2013 - 2019 and my youngest since 2017. I could tell you about the fantastic activities and ethos the nursery has, but what really reassures me that I picked the best nursery for my kids, is the love my girls have for the staff. Seeing my baby snuggled
up on a shoulder, or when I pick the girls up at the end of the day and they run back and give a huge cuddle to their key worker. This love they have for the staff shows me that they are relaxed and feel safe in the nursery, which to me is the most important thing. I would often ask my eldest what she had done at nursery and get the response "nothing". Thank goodness for the fantastic day logs and photos, showing her horse riding, acting on the stage, running around the fields, playing in the park or sitting down to learn Mandarin. They also log what they eat each day and the children are far more adventurous at nursery than they are at home. I look forward to the newsletter and see what excitement is coming.

Our son graduated from Apple Daycare in August and has been there since he was nine months. Apple is a fantastic and an amazing place with the most brilliant staff. Our little boy learnt so much whilst he was there and walked into school confident, happy, and well rounded. He was given so many amazing
opportunities and experiences at Apple from multi-sports, forest walks, and drama, to phonics and yoga. The staff always greet you with a smile and have time for you as parents, but most importantly for the children. My daughter is now there and I couldn't recommend Apple more highly.

My son is now 2.5 years old and has been attending Apple Daycare since he was 1. I cannot recommend Apple Daycare enough, from the staff to the variety of activities they are able to provide children with - this really is an exceptional nursery.


There has been little to no issues, but when I have

had any concerns, the owner has been quick to alleviate them. My son absolutely adores the manager!


My son recently moved up to be with the older children and is now able to participate in tennis and Mandarin lessons! Every time we drop him off he runs in and is always happy and enthusiastic at pick-up.


The level of care is second to none, they provide regular track and plans so that we can understand where our son is in terms of his development and this helps us to work on the areas that need a bit more focus.


I would be happy to recommend Apple Daycare to everyone - extremely good value for money and I wish our son could continue the rest of his schooling there!

This is truly a fantastic nursery. My daughter has just completed nearly four years on a full-time basis at Apple Daycare. She has excelled already and is performing above her expected abilities to the outstanding care and development she experienced at Apple Daycare. She looks forward to returning
there for the school holidays. My son has another two years at Apple Daycare before he is at school age and he is doing as well if not better than his sister. I am very lucky my children get to spend their time in such a fantastic place.

My daughter is not yet 3 and has been going to Apple Daycare regularly for close to 6 months for a couple of days a week and she loves it! She’s stimulated, happy and sleeps oh so well on the days she attends. I drop her off in the morning and she runs through the door without even so much as a backward
glance at me. What more could a parent want? Fabulous nursery, fabulous staff and a very happy child. Excellent on every level.

An excellent nursery. My daughter settled very quickly here and she looks forward to attending her sessions twice per week. She has made loads of progress since starting in the areas of language development and in her confidence to interact with others. The staff are friendly, approachable and professional.

Our daughter attended Apple Day Care for approximately 3 years and we can honestly say that in that time she was nothing but content and happy. As a parent feeling that confidence in the place where your child spends a large proportion of her time is priceless. She was supported both educationally and
emotionally and the all round package of care was exceptional. Our child left Apple as a happy and confident 4-year-old and we will always be grateful for the substantial part Apple played in that and would therefore, have no hesitation recommending Apple Day Care.

Our child has settled in very well to Apple Daycare, which has made returning to work following maternity leave much easier. He goes in smiling and comes out smiling. The online journal of his day with photos is great and often cheers me up on the train home from work. The hours are very good and we
love all the outdoor activities he gets involved with. It's great that as he gets older he will get involved in so many more of the fun activities.

Apple Daycare is a fantastic, homely, well-run nursery. My child loves it and wants to go at weekends. She is so much happier than at her previous nursery and there has been a massive improvement in her social and overall development. There is a real emphasis on outdoor activities - walks, adventures
in the woods, gardens, outdoor play etc. It is extremely structured and the online journal shows you what they have been up to almost hourly. Staff are great and the manager, in particular, is brilliant.

I feel so lucky to have found Apple Daycare. What a wonderful and unique place. A real home from home, with amazing outdoor facilities. My daughter has flourished in this supportive and nurturing environment and has had a fantastic time enjoying country walks, and many outdoor and creative activities.
The staff are brilliant: so accommodating and thoughtful. We are so grateful to them all. They treated our daughter with understanding and respect, and her confidence has grown so much as a result. It has provided my daughter with the perfect transition to big school and we are all so sad to say goodbye! She will certainly be back for holiday club! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this fabulous nursery.

Apple Daycare is a wonderful nursery for children and offer a unique home from home environment which my young children thrived in. From home cooked meals, days out in the holidays, fun ways to learn and achieve the milestones associated with Early Years Foundation Stages - Apple provided a structured
yet fun day which has given my children the perfect foundation for their transition into school.
The professional, friendly and caring staff leave you reassured to know your children are in the best hands. As soon as I arrived at Apple Daycare I knew my children would love it there and indeed they did.

Before I had children, I worked as a singer/song writer and makeup artist. I studied theatre and creative arts at the Guild Hall London. Lawrence is a fabulous cook and has a catering company, called the-galley catering co. He has a level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
Lawrence holds a Cache Diploma, Level 3 in Children’s and Young Peoples Work Force and has progressed to Level 4 in Early Years where he is midway through a Foundation Degree at The University of Hertfordshire where in 2014 he will rise to Level 5.
He is also Paediatric First Aid Trained. Lawrence’s main responsibilities include the implementation of the EYFS (2012), staff training, accounts and Learning Journals.
