The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall is a beautiful nursery set in wonderful grounds in the centre of Hucknall. Specialist experienced staff will provide fun learning opportunities and experiences for your child from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and holiday and out of school provision for children up to 8 years of age.

The Baby Suite provides a tranquil place where your baby will be nurtured and cherished, baby music and sensory sessions will provide stimulation and fun.

Your child will have an opportunity to learn French, learn to swim and take part in 1st Ball Sports sessions.

Fully funded places are available for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Please feel welcome to visit at any time.

My little girl feels very well at this nursery, she has developed a lot both physically and emotionally, she is sociable and more welcoming. This nursery also has very good conditions and the garden outside offers the children a healthy play space.

My son has been at Orange Tree for a year now after moving here from another nursery. He has progressed significantly in a very supportive and nurturing environment. The nursery have supported and enabled him to learn how to manage and express his emotions as well as progress his academic learning and
skills ready for attending school later this year. Every day he has fun, he can't wait to tell me about his day with his friends and the staff. I love that they access outdoors no matter the weather and can utilise the garden for growing plants and vegetables as well as look after the chickens. I cannot thank Orange Tree enough for their passion and support over the last year. I went from a very stressed and anxious mum that my son wasn't progressing as he should and cried at his previous nursery every day to a mum that knows she can go to work feeling that he is happy and supported.

Absolutely love this nursery! The staff is incredibly friendly and caring, always making sure my child is happy and well-cared for. The facilities are clean, safe, and full of fun, educational activities that keep my little one engaged.

The staff at The Orange Tree made my daughter's transition to nursery the best experience. From putting her name on the welcome board for her first settling-ins to providing in-depth daily observations along with plenty of pictures of her happy and smiling, they put both myself and my partner at ease.
My daughter has already formed close bonds with the members of staff in her room, and it is clear to see how good each of the staff members are at their jobs. They are always available for a chat, drop offs and pick ups never feel rushed and everyone is so welcoming.

We got a really nice vibe from Orange Tree on our very first visit and have been so happy with everything since our daughter started in September. She’s settled in well and it gives us such peace of mind to know she’s happy and well cared for while we’re at work. The updates on the app are great, it’s
lovely to see what she’s been up to during the day! Thank you Orange Tree team and keep up the good and very important work.

My son is behind in his verbal communication. However, the nursery works so well with him and are so attentive towards his needs and development. The facilities and areas within the nursery are fantastic, it is such a breath of fresh air to send my child to this nursery.

So many lovely staff members! My son started in September and he’s settled in so well. He now goes into the room by himself on his nursery days and gives the carer for the day a cuddle too. Thank you so much for all you do we appreciate you very much.

Our time at The Orange Tree has almost come to an end and we will both be so sorry to say goodbye to this outstanding nursery.
From day one my daughter has loved it here and I have felt extremely comfortable with her being in this setting. The staff go above and beyond in nurturing your child to grow,
getting to know them on an individual basis. You really feel like they care and enjoy their job. The communication with the nursery is second to none. Updates on objectives and milestones and photographs to support this are both reassuring and comforting.
The nursery recourses are of excellent quality and you really feel you're getting a top-notch experience. I recommend the nursery to all.
We attended the graduation day at the nursery, which was heartwarming and goes to show that the children really are individuals who are cared about. We are sad to be saying goodbye to The Orange Tree and thank them for playing a part in getting my daughter to where she needs to be for starting school.

My daughter has attended three different nurseries since she was 10 months. As a parent, you feel guilty moving your child around. Since we’ve settled in our first home in Nottingham we made the best decision for our daughter to join The Orange Tree Day Nursery. She has settled in so well and is loved
by everyone.


I can’t thank the staff enough for all their hard work and patience with the kids. It’s an amazing environment and our daughter has developed so much in a space of 6 months.

A fantastic nursery, with staff who actually care and get to know the children and families. My daughter has been attending the nursery for just under 3 years and loves it every day. She has learnt so much including Spanish. She has made amazing friendships and her key worker has a brilliant relationship,
making my daughter feel comfortable when upset and happy and excited about each activity. Highly recommend.

My little boy has been attending The Orange Tree Day Nursery for 2 years this month and there aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful the nursery has been. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting. The staff are amazing and super engaging with the children, always with a smiley welcoming

Our son has been with The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Hucknall since before he was 1, he is now 3. They have done a fantastic job nurturing, educating and protecting him. We are grateful to all the workers that have been in his life over his crucial development stage. He absolutely loves the nursery and
the staff, he's always asking to see them or be at the nursery and this is a great feeling to know. I'd highly recommend this nursery and its flexibility to assist and help emergency service workers also. Thank you for everything you all do, I only wish the government rewarded all nurseries with the support and funding that you deserve.

My son has been attending The Orange Tree for a year and a half now, he absolutely loves it. His development has come on leaps and bounds. Staff always listen and work with you to try and do what’s right for your child and you as a family, management are amazing and helpful and has resolved queries
and issues rapidly. The activities, rooms and outside space are amazing, my son loves playing outside and in the gym. The nursery is clean and just has such a lovely feel to it, so glad I chose this nursery for my son to attend was the best choice I made.

An excellent nursery that we feel confident sending our child to. The staff are all warm, welcoming, caring and knowledgable. My little boy has been going to The Orange Tree Day Nursery since he was 8 months old and is nearly two. He absolutely loves going and is always happy to go to the staff in his room. The feedback is absolutely amazing and the staff are so welcoming, I get weekly observations on the eylog and he always
has a smile on his face. Management are absolutely amazing and always have time to answer any questions, I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!
