A HOMELY AND WELCOMING NURSERY IN THE HEART OF ENGLEFIELD GREEN

Englefield Green Day Nursery and Preschool has been purposefully designed with enriching environments and activities to support your child’s development from 3 months to 5 years. They ensure the transition from home to nursery, and then on to school, is a happy and fulfilling journey of learning.

The Nursery love encouraging your child to explore their interests and develop self-confidence as they learn. The spacious, age-appropriate rooms feature plenty of books, art supplies and paper for those creative moments, kitchen areas for role-play, and activities that inspire young minds to see maths in their environment. Daily activities range from painting to yoga, dancing, singing and exploring outdoors. They also have a special milk kitchen and a separate sleep room for under twos.

Every room in the Englefield Green nursery has direct access to the large garden and outdoor play area. These include areas of ‘No Grow’ flooring, safe for all ages and all weather types, ensuring children can explore the outdoors whatever the weather. Outdoor play is as good for the mind as it is for the body, and the practitioners encourage children to question their environment and discover new things. That could be looking for bugs, gathering natural materials for scientific study or observing how the changing seasons impact what is around us.

The nursery in Englefield Green is located on a quiet residential road within the grounds of Royal Holloway University. They provide all-inclusive care, including all nappies, wipes, baby formula and fresh, nutritionally balanced meals prepared by the dedicated on-site chef.

My son started in the baby room 3 months ago when he was just 6 months old. The staff have been amazing at welcoming him into nursery life and have supported his weaning and now to him crawling. Me and his daddy are so pleased with his progress and the confidence he's developed since starting.

Our daughter has been going to Englefield Green Nursery Preschool for a year and a half now and she could not enjoy it more. The staff is extremely attentive and absolutely caring. The relatively low number of children per key workers means that everyone gets all the attention they need!

I had to start working really early on after my son was born. I was very nervous to leave him at 6 months old at a nursery. I found in the Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool a safety port that I felt comfortable about living my son while I was at work.


I visited several nurseries and the staff,

as well as the environment of this nursery, which made me feel that my son wouldn't be in better hands. They are very attentive to his needs, very quick in detecting if something is wrong with him and very good at helping him develop well. Also, the outdoor space in this nursery is amazing and they use it constantly.


Finally, the fact that every morning my, now 9-month-old son, squeals of joy and gives me the biggest smile ever every time he realises we are arriving at the nursery gate, says it all.

Very satisfied with our experience with the nursery. Our daughter comes home from school extremely happy with lots of stories to tell. She always tells us how fun it is at school and how great her key person is.
Their food is of great variety. Some staff just need to be more friendly and accommodating.

Our daughter started nursery when she was 4.5 months old. She has always been happy to go to the nursery. The nursery feels homely and the staff are great. They were really supportive when at the beginning our daughter was refusing to drink from the bottle. They did everything they could and in 2 weeks,
she was back drinking her milk from the bottle. We love to see how stimulated she is there and how happy she is every morning when she arrives at the nursery and sees the staff and all her little friends. We also really appreciate the feedback that the staff give us at the end of the day, when we learn about what she's done, ate etc. We would recommend this nursery to every parent.

We are delighted with our decision to choose Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool for our daughter's nursery, who joined at 10months, nearly a year ago. It is such a bright friendly place, safely tucked away amongst trees - I love that the sound of birds greets you.


The care and fun that she has

experienced in her first year we are grateful for since it is more than we hoped for. Her key person, Jade is so knowledgeable, caring and such a joy. In fact, all of the team looking after the Piglets are brilliant.

My child loves his mornings at nursery, all the staff are excellent and so helpful. His communication skills are improving as is his appetite with lovely lunches to enjoy.

My daughter has blossomed here she has really come out of her shell and loves attending. The staff are great and really get to know each child individually. There is great communication between the nursery and home. They currently have baby chicks which are hatching and the children love watching and
learning more about them. The food is also amazing!!! Fantastic outside space and staff who are excited about the activities and learning they do with the children.

Our daughter has been at this nursery for two years since she was 8 months old. She loves it there and comes home each day happy and tired from a busy day! There is such a lovely atmosphere at the nursery and the people who work there clearly love spending time with the children and really care. I love
that they eat food that is cooked fresh at the nursery each day and then spend lots of time playing out in the garden.

This nursery is absolutely fantastic, we are so pleased we picked it for our son. Everyone there is really helpful and they are always happy to chat to you. We love hearing what he has been doing all day. The girls who look after our son are amazing and he has really settled in well. He eats everything

Since my daughter began attending the Nursery in December, she has grown in confidence. Siya is much more social and not as clingy to me. When I drop her off, she gets upset but the staff quickly tend to her and by the time I have left the gates, she is smiling. The staff are always friendly and willing

My son has attended this nursery since he was 11 months, he is now nearly 3 years and enjoys his sessions at nursery every week.
The staff are very caring and easy to talk to, giving verbal and written feedback every week/ session.
Healthy snacks and meals are provided, which my son loves more than
my cooking!
The nursery is also very clean and never has that "grubby toy" smell.

We have recently enrolled our 2year old at this nursery and after much anxiety and stressing about 'leaving' him, I can honestly say that there was nothing to worry about.
The AMAZING staff at Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool reassured me from day one and have officially put my mind at ease.
They are professional yet also have that personal touch aspect. After visiting a number of nurseries trying to find the right one for us, I cannot find fault with this one, I really can't recommend this nursery enough. Thank you

Englefield Green Bright Horizons is the best nursery I have seen so far. Like every mother, I was concerned of leaving my daughter all day at the nursery but she absolutely loves it!! Our daughter has been attending Englefield Green since I returned to work. She has just had her first birthday and is enjoying her time in the nursery room. When having to return to work quickly, I found this nursery who were very accommodating and understanding of the situation. I went in one week and by the next week my daughter was on her settling in sessions. The staff are very supportive with these and help your child settle in straight away. My daughter
always comes home smiling.

My daughter joined the Englefield Green Nursery after being with a childminder for 9 months. She has been going to the nursery for 4 months now and loves it. When she joined she was made to feel very comfortable and welcome and the staff helped her to settle into the bigger environment and were great
on those teary drop-offs. Since then she has formed a really strong bond with her key worker and her speech is starting to develop well. The food that I have seen is excellent and my daughter seems to finish it all off each day - the staff even treat my son to a homemade biscuit or cake if we collect at afternoon snack time. I find the staff to be extremely friendly and all the staff in the room are able to talk about my daughter's day when I collect her. I think the nursery itself is excellent and particularly like the fact that each age group room has their own dedicated outside space.

It's a really nice nursery. Love the garden which is huge and the fact that they have actual grass and have not very replaced it with synthetics. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
