Townsend Montessori Nursery Maidstone is a carefully designed setting in the heart of the town, providing a positive and warm environment that encourages children to develop a lifelong love for learning. The setting follows a Montessori approach to education, which prioritises the growth and development of each child, in a supportive and engaging space designed for them to learn and thrive.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, inspired by the Montessori approach, fostering meaningful connections between children and the world around them and helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The nursery has five spacious rooms allowing for free flow throughout the space. The Caterpillar Room is perfect for babies to explore at their own pace, with Key Carers supporting their individual routines and child-led activities. The Ducklings Room is ideal for children who are more confident, offering a mix of structured and child-led activities in a large open space.

The Lambs Room is for Pre-School aged children, where they can develop their skills in a free-flow garden space and enjoy fun arts and crafts and messy play. The large outdoor area includes a climbing frame, sand and water play and a Maths hut for Pre-School, providing opportunities for children to learn about nature and the world around them.

Alongside the support of a qualified, passionate and child-centred team, children at Townsend Montessori Nursery Maidstone will grow and develop under the best of care.

Amazing staff, very kind and understanding, they're always there when you need anything and really friendly, my little one loves it there! My little one has only been there a short time but has already learnt a lot. I would highly recommend the nursery.

Our 3 year old twins started to attend the Townsend Montessori Nursery when they were one during the pandemic. All the staff has always been very supportive and welcoming. The kids had been encouraged from the beginning to be independent. The boys love going to nursery. They do plenty of nice activities
and they send us pictures regularly to show us our kids milestones. They also love going outside and playing in "the big garden" every day. I would choose Townsend Montessori again and I strongly recommend it.

I am very happy and content with how my kids are developing at Townsend Montessori Nursery. All the Montessori games and plays, learning, songs and outside garden activities! I really appreciate all the staff and I recommend this nursery!

Meals are varied each day and from week to week.

Very happy with the care my daughter receives. Friendly staff, lots of activities planned daily, nutritious food. My daughter settled quickly at this nursery and is always happy and chatty when I pick her up. Staff keen to help and support.

Excellent nursery fulfils my child’s needs every day. My child is more than happy to go into the nursery and is very happy when my child comes out of the nursery. My child is comfortable with every member of staff in the building. The staff make the nursery welcoming, they are very hard-working and
are a lovely team. This nursery is the best nursery my child has gone to and I wouldn’t recommend any other nursery.

Great staff and a friendly atmosphere, all three of my girls have learnt so much and they have all been happy there. I do sometimes feel that the food is very samey but it is always a good healthy meal. No issues whatsoever.

My little boy has attended the nursery since Ducklings and all the way to Bumblebees. All staff are friendly and amazing. They are all knowledgeable on the EYFS and how to maintain exciting and inviting activities. Management are lovely and always understanding as well as great at giving advice. Thank

My daughter is absolutely thrilled attending the nursery on a daily basis. I get regular updates on her development and participation in various learning activities. The Nursery staff are very welcoming and caring. I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

I have twins at the nursery, both of whom have developed really well in all areas since being there. The staff are incredibly helpful and supportive as well as extremely knowledgeable in their subject area. Overall, the setting has a really warm and friendly feel.
