Little Bugs Childcare offers full and part-time childcare for children between 0 and 12 years. They are conveniently situated just off the York outer ring road and open from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

They offer 30 hours free childcare and parents and carers are very welcome to visit anytime.

Every child is treated as a developing individual and provide the support, surroundings and encouragement for a happy and fulfilling childhood. They have a friendly team of qualified childcare professionals with high staff to child ratios, to enable the team to build close relationships with each child.

Children are encouraged to discover and learn through a mix of structured activities, group or individual projects and personal encouragement. They follow the Reggio approach to childcare, supporting a child’s natural curiosity through a wide range of experiences with lots of positive support from staff.

Set within the Web Adventure Park, a large indoor and outdoor family attraction, the children are able to access all the fantastic facilities. They have a vast array of exciting play spaces both indoors and out, and are proud to be a Forest School.

Children have on-site access to a dipping pond, generous and well equipped outdoor play areas and an orchard as well as exclusive use of the facilities at the Web Adventure Park each day before 9.30am. Their facilities enable them to offer a huge range of exciting and relaxing activities throughout the typical day, with two large independent nursery units with private outdoor gardens away from the park, the children have the best of both worlds!

They currently have availability in the baby, toddler and pre-school settings. Holiday care for 6 - 12 year olds is offered.

Little bugs is such a great nursery. My child has settled in really well, always looks forward to going and always has lots of fun. Couldn't fault them at all. Also any questions we ask on the app they respond to straight away which is always nice.

We simply love Little Bugs childcare. Our older daughter went there and we had such a great experience that we also enrolled our youngest one. The carers are really lovely to the kids and it is noticeable the connections they create - like family. They do a wide range of activities with the kids that
are engaging and really promote the right development. There is also the advantage that the nursery uses the facilities of the park before it opens/when it is not busy - so the children can play on the slides/soft play (they became so much braver!) and also see the animals. We must say we gave only good things to share about Little Bugs!

We have been using Little Bugs for 5 years now with both of our children and have never had any issues. All the staff are lovely and the spaces which the children have access to are great at as well as the equipment which is offered to the children.

Little Bugs has been an amazing place for both of my children. They are caring, nurturing and provide an excellent education to assist the children in moving to school. The staff are a pleasure to work with and they have genuine interest and care for the children. Communication is excellent and both
of my children couldn't wait to attend each day. It has been the best decision my partner and I made in sending our children to Little Bugs. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My eldest son attends and my baby boy will be going when I go back to work and I wouldn't send him anywhere else. It's a fantastic nursery, brilliant facilities offering a wide range of activities for the children and lots of outdoor play which I feel is important. The staff are absolutely wonderful,
my sons key worker has been fantastic at challenging him and making sure he grows and develops, ready for starting school in September.

Amazing nursery. Staff are so caring and loving and know the children really well. Staff have being there for years. It is evident they are a strong team and meet all your children individual needs.

Both my children love little bug my 6 year old asks if she can go back because she misses it
The staff are very caring and loving with the children, also help get the children into routines and learn boundaries which is great. This nursery seem to do lots of fun activities with the children on a regular

My son started in May 2024, and the nursery has been fantastic with him. The updates and photos throughout the day are amazing, giving me peace of mind and keeping me involved in his journey. I couldn't recommend the nursery highly enough - the children have access to amazing facilities (indoor soft play, outdoor pedal bikes, sand and water park, animals and a nursery forest school). The staff there have always come across like they really care about the children and their development. You
get excellent updates over the app and a handover at pick-up. The children also seem to do a range of interesting activities. The food is excellent - I think it's made on-site (at Web) and varied recipes, not just chicken nuggets and chips.

My 1st child attended little bugs so I had no doubt where my 2nd child was going to go.
The facilities they have make it a fun place for children to go!
The app that is used to see your child's progression is great as well as seeing your child's daily activities logged on there to.
All the staff
are lovely and with sending my 2nd child it's so nice to see the same staff working there which speaks volumes!

Fantastic! Our little bug has allergies and the staff go above and beyond to ensure he doesn't miss out at meal time. He looks forward to going to nursery and on the weekends he's asking to go to nursery (I try not to get offended). He's developed so much since starting in 2023. He was once fairly quiet
and refused to smile. He's now the centre of all activities and full of beans at every pick up. When our eldest child left for school we decided to stick with little bugs, despite it being out of our way! We love it and we love the special bond between our children and the staff! Thank you, you guys are amazing

Little Bugs is an exceptional nursery setting. My child thrives there and has all of his physical, emotional and educational needs met. The staff are warm and caring, like extended family! We could not have asked for a better nursery in terms of infrastructure and attention to care for our two little rascals. We’ve been through two nurseries and a childminder and there is no comparison. My boys literally go to a theme park daily and get to see Santa and pick pumpkins without having to
pay through my nose for these activities. The management and the girls are amazing, experienced and accommodating. My boys are really happy here. I never had them complaining about going to nursery.
