Little Bugs Childcare offers full and part-time childcare for children between 0 and 12 years. They are conveniently situated just off the York outer ring road and open from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

They offer 30 hours free childcare and parents and carers are very welcome to visit anytime.

Every child is treated as a developing individual and provide the support, surroundings and encouragement for a happy and fulfilling childhood. They have a friendly team of qualified childcare professionals with high staff to child ratios, to enable the team to build close relationships with each child.

Children are encouraged to discover and learn through a mix of structured activities, group or individual projects and personal encouragement. They follow the Reggio approach to childcare, supporting a child’s natural curiosity through a wide range of experiences with lots of positive support from staff.

Set within the Web Adventure Park, a large indoor and outdoor family attraction, the children are able to access all the fantastic facilities. They have a vast array of exciting play spaces both indoors and out, and are proud to be a Forest School.

Children have on-site access to a dipping pond, generous and well equipped outdoor play areas and an orchard as well as exclusive use of the facilities at the Web Adventure Park each day before 9.30am. Their facilities enable them to offer a huge range of exciting and relaxing activities throughout the typical day, with two large independent nursery units with private outdoor gardens away from the park, the children have the best of both worlds!

They currently have availability in the baby, toddler and pre-school settings. Holiday care for 6 - 12 year olds is offered.

My little girl's key worker is amazing! The other girls in the baby room are also brilliant! Couldn’t recommend this nursery enough. The children have so much choice of things to do here. They provide the children with a wide range of food that I would of never have thought to try with my little girl.
Little Bugs is first class!

I cannot rate Little Bugs enough.
My son loves it.
They are well organised and have lots of different activities and great equipment for the children to play/learn with.
The staff and great. They show genuine interest in each and every child they care for.
The variety of food is also amazing.
The chefs do a great job.
They do not get enough praise for the work they do.

My son has settled really well into the baby room at Little Bugs nursery. We get excellent updates on his day on pick up and in our baby diary. I love that they can use the facilities at Creepy Crawlies with the soft play and outdoor area with animals.


As someone who works on a self-employed basis

I also find they are really flexible.
Any nerves I had about my little boy starting nursery have been unfounded as he is thoroughly enjoying his time there and his development is coming on leaps and bounds.

A fantastic nursery!
I was so nervous putting my little boy into childcare at 9 months old, but wow he has come along so much! He eats so well now and is chatting and singing away all the time! He LOVES it!
The staff are amazing they adore all the kids and are brilliant at fitting my little boy in
as I don’t work set days or shifts!

Little Bugs is a great nursery. My daughter has been going for a year. The facilities are fabulous. She gets to play outside as often as possible when the weather is nice, she sees the animals at Creepy Crawlies. Every time I drop her off she smiles and can't wait to get her coat off. The staff are
all great, they show knowledge in the development and care of children but are also friendly, approachable and show genuine care and affection for the children. I would recommend Little Bugs to anyone.

I was sceptical about putting my 17-month-old in a nursery as she’d never been away from me. I shouldn’t have been!! The girls here are fantastic and really helped my little girl settle in.....fast forward 6 months and she loves going! When I tell her she’s going to the nursery she says ‘yaaay’ which
is a testament to all the girls and the activities they do.

My son absolutely loves attending Little Bugs nursery. They have Such fantastic facilities to keep little people entertained both indoors and outdoors and do they varied activities every day. I'm so happy with this nursery. My son is autistic and when he started nursery our world was completely upside down. What the staff at Little Bugs have done to help us is just amazing, they have gone above and beyond what we could've ever expected. They've taken him under their wing and done a great
job which in turn has given us as a family confidence to do normal day to day activities we wouldn't have considered doing before. Can't thank them enough.

Both my sons attend Little Bugs Childcare and thoroughly enjoy going. The facilities there are second to none and the structure they have around learning and development is fantastic. My sons are constantly bringing things home that they have made, and Little Bugs Childcare always manages to blend creativity
and learning which makes it such fun for them. The team there are so friendly and my sons' learning and development have certainly grown from attending Little Bugs.

Wonderful nursery. Staff are natural and attentive. They gently discipline and teach in a variety of fun ways. Every day brings new activities and adventures. A fantastic nursery!! My two children (3 years and 1 year) have been attending 8 months now and they have made great progress. The management are always on hand in the various rooms to speak to parents. The staff are well trained and caring toward the little ones which great activities. The equipment
and resources are amazing. The children are extremely lucky to have such an environment to learn in with small ratios.
I love the flexibility that they offer and understand the demands of a working mum!!

My 2 and a half-year-old has been going to the nursery since Easter and loves it. since starting at the nursery she has developed so much. The team at the nursery are fantastic and really make such a great effort to take care of the children and have helped Gracie build her confidence up massively.
Her speech and understanding has come on so much. I love this nursery and would recommend it to anyone. I'll be sending my youngest also once it's time for her to go

My daughter is getting on really well at little bugs since starting in March this year. The setting is fantastic with lots of outdoor activities and regular visits to the onsite soft play area. The staff are really good with the children being supportive, friendly, kind and encouraging. I know she
has great fun while she is there as it's a job to drag her away at the end of the day sometimes! The giant sand pit is a particular favourite. We get a daily progress report and she regularly brings things home that she has made during the day. Learning is encouraged through play and there is plenty for the children to do to keep those little minds busy! I would recommend this nursery to anyone in to York area.
