Kids 1st Bowesfield, located in Stockton-on-Tees provide a warm and wonderful environment within their purpose-built nursery.

The passionate team strive to support your child’s development throughout their time at nursery. Your little one will thrive during their time at nursery with multiple childcare rooms which are tailored to each age group. This nurturing approach will allow every child to develop at their own pace.

As a mother of 3 who has had all 3 children cared for by the lovely members of staff at Kids 1st Bowesfield over the past 3 and a half years, I can genuinely say I don't think I could have found a more welcoming, caring and friendly atmosphere for my children. Every one of the team from the manager,
to the nursery assistants in each room, to the cook and the cleaner, have been brilliant. The manager has gone above and beyond in my opinion and really helped us out in a number of circumstances having the children in at such late notice. Although there have often been tears at drop off, they only last a few minutes. As soon as I sneak back for a check on my child, they are always sat happily playing or eating their breakfast at the table! My 'Mum guilt" has eased a lot seeing my children thrive and having so much fun! Their development has come on in leaps and bounds over the years at Kids 1st, especially in activities such as using knives and forks, numbers and pedalling to name a few.

Excellent nursery, friendly caring staff who are professional and welcoming and always smiling. The manager is very caring and supportive to parents and is willing to go the extra mile along with her staff to help the kids to settle if they are struggling. Highly recommend this nursery. Excellent.

Such a lovely environment for my 3-year-old daughter to start nursery. Kids First isn't just allowing the children to learn through play but also instilling manners and good behaviour. My daughter is thriving and so happy. Staff are wonderful :)

I’ve been so impressed with the nursery from day one. All the staff are friendly and the nursery has a lovely atmosphere. My two sons attend the nursery, they both have learning difficulties and the nursery has helped/supported us with getting them one to one support and the Education Health Care Plan
process. My boys love going to nursery, especially the outdoor spaces. Each room has excellent facilities to occupy and challenge the children following the early years' foundation stage framework. I’m amazed at the progression my children have achieved since they started.

Kids 1st was listed as one of the best nurseries in the area we live in. Highly recommended by our friends that enrolled their children in this nursery. Now having our own child in this nursery gives us a first hand experience.
Staff is professional, friendly and lively. From daily activities to meal
services, we have nothing but satisfaction to our expectations. We have seen good learning in our child. We feel that staff takes the utmost care to all children in the nursery. Equal attention and support is provided to children and parents.
Basic things like parking, notifications and updates from nurseries, furnishing and IT infrastructure are praiseworthy.
Important things like daily meals, 1 on 1 attention to child, teachings and observations are also good. Good sized rooms and decent play area with excellent set up that helps children to bring active learning and various skills.
We feel fortunate to have a fantastic nursery at an easy reach.

I have 2 children who attend the nursery, my eldest for 2 days and youngest for 1 day. Every room and member of staff that have taken care of them have been fantastic, I always feel that when I drop the boys off, they are in great hands and very safe. We are kept in the loop with regular communications
and the manager runs a great nursery. My children are constantly developing too, they both enjoy attending and they always eat their food so it must be good!

We have been extremely pleased with the top quality care our little one has received at Kids 1st Bowesfield. The staff have been amazing, very caring and enthusiastic and have played a key role in every aspect of our daughter's development. The food is freshly cooked and well balanced and the place

My daughter has been attending since she was six months old. A brilliant nursery with a good choice on the menu that parents can try at parents evening. The coffee to go service is a brilliant feature for parents. A very clean and homely environment. Regular development checks on the children are interesting
as it gives you an insight as to what your child is progressing in.

The nursery has been excellent and my son settled in really well. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There is a great variety of toys and activities and excellent outdoor spaces for the children to play. Would highly recommend.

From the very first day of meeting staff and becoming part of the Kids 1st family, I have felt so comfortable leaving my precious children in the care of the Bowesfield team. Every member of staff is exceptional and it is clear that strong, positive and inclusive values are shared by all. The facilities
are second to none, the quality of the food provided is exceptional and both my children are very happy with here. I would recommend this nursery to anyone, without reservation.

My son has only been going to nursery for a month and I have noticed a big change in him already, he settled fairly quickly because the girls all went out of there way to comfort him. I feel comfortable ringing to check on him as much as I want to and ask any questions I want to.

An outstanding nursery & staff. Since my daughter started nursery (from Kids 1st) opening she as developed in so many ways, she is more confident and balanced and looks forward to her days at nursery. My eldest son has moved to the Dolphin room and already he is attempting to write his name and he has become so much more independent at home. I am sending my second child to Kids 1st from the age of 6 months which is hard for me but I trust the staff and know he will progress in leaps and bounds.

I could not be happier with this nursery. My child goes there full time and I feel 100% confident leaving him there. The staff, the food and the activities are at a very high standard. My son enjoys going there every day and he has progressed so well since being there. I get a daily update everyday
when I pick him up, they have supported me with his potty training. There is nothing I can say that needs improvement. I am very thankful to Kids 1st Bowesfield.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello I’m Sophie. I am a Level 6 practitioner who graduated with my BA Honours Degree in 2018. I have worked in childcare for 10 years since leaving school and have experience across all age ranges. I have a passion for providing children with the best start in life through their play and development along with supporting families within the centre. I started my journey with Kids 1st Bowesfield in 2016 as a level 3 practitioner and have worked my way through the roles to Senior, then Assistant Centre Director and am now proud to be the Centre Director. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am always happy to help in anyway I can, the office door is always open along with being available at the end of the phone so please feel free to get in touch.
