My daughter's nursery was advised by senco we should apply for NEG 2-year-old funding, they did not mention to us we list term of funding. Child hurt herself at nursery they did not notify me or my husband, my child is under special care she's considered as special needs. She was always left on side. I spoke with nursery manager she said I wouldn't want you to put our nursery down because two-year-old funding it's not about the funding. The lack of support they have not taken it seriously I personally would not recommend this nursery, it's just a playgroup they do not teach anything.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you’ve not had a good experience. We provide high emphasis on Parental Partnership and from the outset parents are actively involved in their child’s learning journey.
When we identify a child needs special requirements, we involve the parents and, before we can access assistance from the local authority multi-professionals, we ask consent from the parents so that we can work together to meet the child’s requirements. If the parents refuses or are hesitant to give consent, we will ensure we can meet the child’s needs.
Nappies are changed regularly whilst the child is at the Kindergarten and a record is kept although, a child can soil their nappy the moment they leave the Kindergarten. The mother had notified us that the child has sensitive skin and therefore their child is prone to rashes.
NEG 2 funding is only available for children aged 2 years or over if the child meets the eligibility criteria. In this case whilst the child was with us the criteria was not met when the child joined as the child was under 2 years old and this was confirmed by the local SENCO coordinator. The Kindergarten spoke to the Early Years co-ordinator who confirmed that they would explain why the child did not meet the eligibility criteria in July 2019.
If a child has had an injury at the Kindergarten, a record is made and the person picking up are made aware of the injury and asked to sign the accident form and a record is kept.
We actively involve all the children at the Kindergarten, including those with special requirements. Special needs children are stimulated by their interest and arrangements are made to meet these requirements.
We ensure all children meet THEIR potential whilst they are at the Kindergarten and move to the primary setting. Majority of our children leave with awareness of phonics, mathematics and all other Early Years Foundation goals.

My name is Cristina Donoiu, I am a passionate, and enthusiastic Area Manager who has worked for Christchurch Kindergarten Nursery for the last 9 years where I developed my pedagogical skills and knowledge intensively to be able to provide the best educational experiences for the children in our care.
I love being a mother of two girls, and an Educator, inspiring wonder, curiosity, and happiness around me.
I strongly believe in building trusting and respectful relationships with children and their families. The most valuable tool for learning is play therefore providing children an environment rich in creativity, imagination, and knowledge, where they will feel safe, secure, welcomed, and connected they will explore and develop their abilities and skills tremendously.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Pre-School Teaching Pedagogy (level 6 QTS), SENCO level 6, Advanced Safeguarding and the Prevent Duty, First Aid, Communication, and Language in Early Years.
