Woodberry Day Nursery (Peartree) is located on Peartree Avenue, between Bitterne and Woolston.

It is a new, purpose built day nursery with gardens backing onto woodland. Children can access the garden from each of the rooms, enabling them to have free flow in their play.

Children can also use the large scale resources in the garden which include a sinking pirate ship, a mud kitchen, a giant sand pit, barn and tracks and a petrol pump for bikes and trikes.

The nursery offers children a nutritious four-week menu with fresh fruit and vegetables and no added salt or colourings. A high proportion of the produce is organic and all special dietary needs are catered for.

My son has been attending this nursery for nearly a year. His development has rocketed. The staff are so lovely and relateable. They have gone above and beyond, tailoring each day to the child's interests and developmental needs. As a first-time mum, I was very nervous putting my child in nursery however
they showed me quickly how caring all staff are. 100% recommend.

Woodberry Peartree is a wonderful nursery. My daughter absolutely loves going there. She had learnt so much in such a short time.
The staff is compassionate, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the children. The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate, contributing to my child's cognitive,
social, and emotional development.
I couldn't ask for better communication. They are really responsive to any queries and providing regular updates on my child's activities and learning progress.

We attended the recent graduation event which was a wonderful celebration for all those who were off to school this year. A really well-run event with music, face paint, stalls, ice cream, games, singing - so much going on! There were some last-minute changes due to the wonderful British weather, which
were all handled very professionally and smoothly. A great celebration event!

Woodberry Peartree is a wonderful nursery/preschool. The workers really care about the children and put in so much time and thought into planning learning opportunities in a fun and engaging way. In July they ran a family fun day which included preschool graduation party. They put in lots of effort
to make it a fun and memorable day for everyone and even with last-minute changes due to the weather still ran a really successful event making children and parents feel really valued.

My daughter had to leave this nursery as they couldn’t offer any extra days as I had changed my job. So I had to move my daughter to the nursery in Sholing. The manager at Peartree said she would let me know when any extra days are available. Turns out they do not keep a waiting list. I found out today
that a child in Sholing is moving over to Peartree for the full 5 days. Now they say they have no spaces left. Peartree is walking distance from our home, it takes forever to get my daughter over to the Sholing each morning then make it into work on time in town. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed that the staff at Peartree are not truthful.

Our daughter has attended Woodberry Peartee since January 2021 and we couldn't be happier. She is currently thriving in the preschool room, but also loved the under 2s and toddler room. All the staff are friendly, polite and engaging and most of all genuinely care about the children's development, safety
and care. It's usually a struggle to get our daughter to leave as she has had so much fun and I am sure her abilities have and continue to improve at an increased rate due to the staff's input. Overall we couldn't be happier with this setting and the staff.

I was initially quite nervous about returning to work but the care and attention shown to our son by every member of staff at Woodberry meant we were both confident and happy within a few weeks of starting.
Now our son has been going to nursery for over a year and we could not be more pleased with
the range of activities, the safety at nursery and the wonderful team!

Amazing in every aspect. My child has benefitted so much from their supportive environment and the staff are all amazing! I’ve been told by the dietitian that their menu is so nutritious and wholesome which I think is a huge compliment for the nursery!

Both of my children went to this facility. My eldest is already a school girl and started school with a strong foundation in English language. She became more social too. All thanks to the nursery. My son still attends, he loves it and his English is booming too. I'm pretty sure the children are in
good hands here.

My son has been attending this nursery for over a year now. The nursery has worked hard and supported him to become a confident and sociable little boy who absolutely loves going into nursery each day. This has made me returning back to work so much easier. I am kept up to date with events through the
day via the app and handovers happen at the start and end of each day. I am excited to watch him be supported by a fantastic team of staff as he grows.

The staff at Woodberry Day Nursery are warm, friendly, trustworthy and engaged. I am amazed by the amount of activities the staff put on for the children. It is a well-run organisation. The app is great and the updates throughout the day are brilliant. The facilities are excellent and safe. I truly

I can’t fault this nursery at all. They’re so accommodating and attentive, and we feel like they generally care a lot about the children and their development. Our son loves it there, and we’re always kept so well informed with reports and photos. All the staff are wonderful.

Both our children have attended this nursery and overall have had an excellent experience. The staff in the room have created welcoming and fun environments and both of them have settled in well. The range of activities is very good and the rooms and garden are fantastic environments for children.
Communication
from the management/director team can be impersonal with a lack of clear explanation for decisions. I have raised this with them and I’m sure they will endeavour to improve this.

My child has been going to this nursery for 10 months and he absolutely loves it. He is fed well and does so many fun activities. He can’t wait to get there in the mornings. The staff are so friendly and great with the children. It made the transition back to work so much easier.

Can't fault this nursery setting! My boy joined during the pandemic, after what had been a pretty tough year after he was born in lockdown. The staff have been so supportive and my boy has thrived in their setting which is a huge relief after he missed out on so much interaction in his first twelve
months. He loves his key worker, talks about her and the other staff a lot at home which I think speaks volumes!
The updates are great - both the daily contacts and also observations about his learning and development.
The setting is wonderfully equipped and I particularly love the outdoor space.
The menu is also great - my son eats so well there, such a varied and healthy mix of meals and snacks. It's clear that they care about health and nutrition and I also think the quality of food adds to the value for money.
Cannot wait to enjoy the facilities to the fullest as we move out of the pandemic and I can get to experience the nursery more!

We have always been so impressed with Woodberry, whether it's the quality of provision, their caring nature, the dedication of staff or the fact our son runs in in the morning and is reluctant to leave in the afternoon! Nursery provision is obviously a large expense for a family but there are no hidden
extra costs, like some other providers and I really do feel Woodberry provide good value for what we pay.

I cannot express just how extremely pleased with Woodberry Peartree I am. My daughter attended this nursery from 2016 to 2019 and it was an absolute no brainer that I would also enrol my son at the setting. Since my son has started I am so pleased with the nurture, care and education that he receives.
The staff at the nursery go above and beyond for the needs of my child as well as accommodating me with any additional situations that have arisen. His speech has come on leaps and bounds since starting the preschool. His keyworker took on the notes from his speech referral and has created a plan for him that is working so well. So many of my family and friends have commented on his speech progression and it's thanks to you all.

Our boy has been at Woodberry three days a week since he was eight months old. Every aspect is covered with enthusiasm and good humour. They care about our son's development, they feed him well, they update us on his progress and he comes home in the evening happy and tired out! Would highly recommend.

My son has attended since he was nine months old, he is now three-and-a-half years old and has thoroughly enjoyed his time at the nursery. I receive regular feedback on his development during handovers and via the app which lets me know what he is doing at the setting and how I can help him at home.
I would recommend this nursery to others. My son has thrived here.
