Kids Planet Salford opened in August 2014 and was rated Ofsted 'Outstanding' in 2015. This purpose-built nursery is located on the corner of Eccles Old Road and Langworthy Road and in close proximity to Media City, Salford Quays and Manchester City Centre.

The nursery benefits from four open plan rooms with direct access to safe and secure outdoor play areas, offering children an exciting area in which to play outside. There is also a separate roof terrace playground for preschool children.

All children at the nursery have access to a sensory room, which offers children a relaxing environment in which to explore the different textures and light forms.

Meals and snacks are freshly prepared by a qualified nursery chef on the premises who caters for their individual needs. The chef operates a six weekly menu.

Access into the nursery is through a state-of-the-art finger print entry system; all internal doors are staff key fob operated and each room and outdoor area has CCTV. The nursery also has an intercom system as standard, ensuring that each child's safety is paramount at all times.

Kids Planet Salford is a great nursery.
My daughter loves being there and has formed a great bond with the staff that look after her. Leaving your child is a very daunting thing but I feel confident and comfortable leaving her in the nurseries care. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I am very impressed with the staff and management of the Kids Planet Nursery in Salford. Friendly, experienced and very dedicated. I am so grateful that I found this nursery and they put my son on their records straight away. I am very impressed by how quickly we did it. We moved to Manchester from
Hemel Hempstead (close to London) where parents need to put their child on the list at least a year in advance to get a place for them. We had to wait six months until they found a free place for our son. Ridiculous. Our son is two-and-a-half years old and a cheerful little chap and he has never been in nursery before, so we were struggling a bit with him. We found an incredible team of dedicated staff who constantly strive to improve the care and environment for the children. They are also always available to parents for advice and support. Don't forget to look into their Ofsted report which is outstanding. Thank you.

This nursery and all the staff are approachable, professional and my little boy loves it here. He has made lots of friends in the pre-school room and has settled really well. The only thing I would say is that he was allocated someone who I presume is the lady who my little boy is most confident with
and I've only seen her once when I've picked him up in the four sessions he's been in there. A little more information on what he's been learning throughout the day and what his learning plan is would be brilliant. And maybe a few more updates on what he's been up to throughout the day on their app. Other than that, he really looks forward to going and I can see how much he's coming on. He's very happy here.

I am happy I chose this nursery. Certain members of staff take their time to make me feel comfortable as my daughter took a while to settle and it used to trigger my anxiety. They would go out of their way to help more and distract my daughter. I do think there is room for improvement in some areas.
The coat hooks are never correct and we have lost a few items of clothing over time. Some staff tend to be just sat around rather than being active and joining in with the children with the activities. And I think some rules are not followed. For example, one day recently I brought my daughter into the nursery and she brought an apple up from reception. She was told to sit at the snack table as she couldn't go into the other half of the nursery with her food. Yet a few seconds later a child appeared with a bread stick out of the other side and also another with an apple. I didn't quite understand this? However, its a shame names cannot be mentioned because there are some amazing staff too.

My son started here in the baby room in June 2019. I was extremely anxious about returning to work and leaving him. Within the few months he has attended, he has developed so much. The staff are fantastic with him, I find it very reassuring when he puts his arms out towards his key worker. My little
one really does like it there, he’s safe, cared for to a high standard and most of all the staff really care about the children and go the extra mile for them.

I would highly recommend Salford Kids Planet. Both my children have been well cared for by the same staff over the years and I never worry about their care whilst I am away from them. The nursery has a homely feel and is well run by the team of staff. They always provide well-balanced meals and great

My little boy started at Kids Planet when we first moved to the area back in March. He has moved from toddlers to preschool recently and at first, he really struggled to deal with the change. The nursery were really good in making sure that he had a plan in place to ensure the transition was smooth.
Now he has been there a few weeks he absolutely loves it and his development is incredible. We get a written report daily and updates through the app about what he has been up too and what he has for dinner! I’m very pleased with the management and senior key workers.

My daughter has been attending for about a month now, at first I was reluctant to take her as she is always with me but, she has settled in really fast with only a few tears when I first leave her. The staff are great and have given me so much confidence and reassurance that my child isn’t upset and

Our son has been coming to this nursery since he was 6 months old and he loved it from day one. All the staff in the babies room are fantastic, gave us a thorough update at the end of each day, smooth transition from babies to tots, my son has developed and learnt so much in this room he is advanced
for his age. The staff in this room are simply amazing and very good at their jobs. Dad and I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. Every single staff member goes above and beyond every day to make our child's day fun, exciting and educational. Great healthy balanced diet with a variety of foods and fruit when ever he wants it.

My child goes in and comes out happy every time he does a session. He has been going since about seven months old and has just entered preschool. The staff are always helpful and willing to offer advice/support on whatever the query may be. The menu is varied and my son has no problems finishing his
plate - in fact, more often than not he gets a second one! I have recommended the nursery to a friend whose son is due to start in the babies room in the next few months. So the question of whether I would recommend this nursery is obviously a yes - because I already have.

My daughter attends this nursery following in her brother’s footsteps. It’s an amazing place and we didn’t hesitate to take her there because of the amazing experience we had when her brother was attending the setting. The staff are very friendly, the play area is very big and there is an outdoor play
area for the kids which is good for fresh air. My daughter settled in quickly and she looks forward to going there every morning.

Both my boys attend Kids Planet, Salford. One is in the baby room and the other is in preschool. My eldest has attended since he was one year old. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and amazing with the children. My youngest has a lot of food allergies and bad eczema and the staff have gone above
and beyond to accommodate his needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Kids Planet, Salford to my friends and family. I would also like to add that the management team in the office are always friendly and easy to approach and always make you feel welcome. My eldest loves the staff in the office and without fail in the morning and evening has to go in for a chat and tell them about his day.

My son has been going to this nursery since he was nine months old. He is turning four next week. Never in all this time have I had any concern regarding the care he has received at the nursery. He is loved and cared for by the staff as if he was their own and I feel safe in this knowledge. My little
boy struggles with change and being aware of this, the staff have always gone the extra mile to support him through periods of this in his life. His speech, number and letter recognition has come on leaps and bounds whilst in nursery. He always comes home a very happy little boy and has made lots of friends in a fun but educational environment.

I love this nursery, my child had been struggling to settle to any nursery. After 6 weeks she is so excited to go to nursery, she loves it. The staff are so patient, supportive and loving with the kids. I have seen such a great improvement with my child. The facilities are great she is never bored,

My son is really happy when he is in the nursery. He learns new words every day. He is starting to eat everything. When I collect him always somebody has time to tell me what he was doing during the day. He asks more about a member of staff than me so that says everything.
