The staff are so attentive, approachable and friendly. They listen to your needs and concerns and nothing is too hard for them. They are very much invested in my son's holistic development and include me in the process, which is great because I am able to contribute. The management are approachable
and they show genuine care. They are so attentive; they show sincere interest in my child and even me as a parent. The meals they provide are great; my son loves the soups! My son comes home with new words and various types of play on a weekly basis. The team are so good with my son. They are very much invested in his needs and I can tell that they make sure he has fun too. I recommend Birdhurst to parents all the time. The Christmas play was really good and I love how they included parents in the day too. We got to see our babies performing.
If I have any more children, I'd definitely send them to Birdhurst Day Nursery.

My daughter has been at Birdhurst Nursery since November 2023. So far she seems to be enjoying herself. I have seen progress in her listening skills. The key workers, admin team and other staff are all very welcoming. Happy to chat and answer any questions. Overall, I am very satisfied with my daughter's
placement at this nursery. The days when she attends they have outside sports and dance. Each day there is a new story to share.

Our daughters have been very happy at Birdhurst Nursery, as have we. The staff are so caring and we receive regular updates and photos of all the fun things that they have been getting up to. The outdoor space is fantastic, especially the new natural play area.
The nursery holds regular events which
the parents are invited to, which I feel is really important - harvest festival, nativity, coffee mornings. I was especially impressed by the platinum Jubilee party!

My little one has been going to Birdhurst Nursery for more than two years and she simply loves it. The staff are great and help the children learn standing, walking, eating on their own, saying thank you and please, potty training etc. The children do many diverse activities and never get bored. The
team is a great support for parents. The admin staff is really approachable and happy to help with many questions. The building has recently been renovated, the garden is huge for children to play in and the food is varied and made fresh every day. I can only highly recommend Birdhurst Nursery to other parents, as I have only great things to say about the place and the team.

My son absolutely loves his time at Birdhurst. He runs in with a happy smile and comes out equally happy! The staff are very friendly and caring for the children. It's a lovely community. They have a very big garden with lots of activities out there. The meals and snacks are varied and healthy. His
confidence, independence, social skills, speech and problem-solving skills have noticeably developed and improved since starting nursery here earlier this year. I would recommend Birdhurst to prospective parents.

Very nice nursery with very caring staff and loads of activities for the little ones. A huge garden is a big plus. I'm very happy with this nursery and so is my 20-month-old baby as he always comes out from there with a huge smile on his face!

My little girl has been going to Birdhurst Nursery for a few months now. The nursery is really nice with different entertaining things to keep the little ones occupied, like a very big garden with trampolines, play area with pirate ships, slides, scooters and toys etc. There is an indoor soft play area
as well. They have a few good choices of learning activities although there could be few more organised activities. The staff are very friendly and caring, always positive and happy to take your feedback. The moment she enters the nursery, she is welcomed with a lovely smile, hello's and tight hugs. As a mother, I feel she is given so much attention and also it makes my kid feels important. She is loving all the attention and the cuddles. She is forming a strong bond with the staff members and the kids. What matters most for me being a mother is she is happy and safe. I hope this continues. I would strongly recommend this nursery.

My little girl is in penguins and loves it here. All the staff are very friendly and I am confident to leave her in their care. There are lots of things to keep her entertained and she has come on a lot since being here. Her confidence and self-awareness have greatly increased. Always get lots of feed
back about her day and what she has been up to. Would strongly recommend this nursery to anyone and the fees are very competitive and reasonable compared to others in the Croydon area.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.379)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.379) out of 10 for Birdhurst Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.861 for Birdhurst Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (32 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.861

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.518 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Birdhurst Day Nursery is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 56 number of registered child places is 11.2. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.2 = 0.268

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
