Hydesville Tower School's Nursery in Walsall offers a happy and nurturing environment in which to prepare your child for life in school.

The nursery is staffed by a highly experienced, expert team who support the children's learning and holistic development.

  • £4,118 per term (38 weeks), includes daily hot lunch, a healthy afternoon snack and milk. An additional 12 weeks of Holiday Club provision is also available. Contact the School for details and prices.


  • Parking
  • Offering on-site car park for all Nursery families for drop off/pick up. Also offer a number of free park & ride and park & stride facilities. One of the car parks is located off Lower Rushall Street, within a 10 minute walk of the school. You may park in the car park and then walk your child to school. Alternatively, there is a free shuttle bus to and from the car park and school. The nursery operates this service at the beginning and end of the Nursery day throughout term time. Local working parents have the opportunity to leave their car in the car park whilst they are at work. There is no charge for this service. There is also a free park & ride and park & stride service from Walsall Arboretum extension car park.

Hydesville Tower has been a really great start for my son, who started Nursery in September 2018. It was a big step for my son as he had never attended any nurseries prior to Hydesville due to his health. After major bowel surgery in July 2018, we were nervous about such a big change in his life.
I
found all the Nursery staff to be extremely kind, considerate and well informed. They really helped to bridge the transition of separation, into a new environment. He thoroughly enjoys his time there, and I think as a parent, we all want to be kept well informed about how our child is doing. The school has a good balance of learning while play, and the structured day has a positive effect on my son's routine. The information flow between parent and school is good too, I can actually see what he's been doing in the week through the newsletters. Really have been most impressed with Hydesville Tower and my son's progress so far!

I am so happy with how quickly our child has settled in. The attention and support from the staff is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We like the fact, that they listen and work with us, to the benefit of our child. The structure of the children's day is well planned and we feel as parents
we have access at all times.

Our son started nursery just after his fourth birthday and within a week we agreed to a full-time place, he settled in so well!


I can honestly say he loves his class, he has made lots of friends and the other parents are so welcoming. It really is like a little family!


The whole environment is

full of things for the children to explore, lots for them to do, it’s clear to see why they are all so happy and confident.


Our son particularly enjoys the fantastic outdoor space, the forest school and staying after school hours for his tea!


For us, as parents, the most important thing is the confidence and trust we have, that when he is at nursery he is extremely well looked after and cared for by the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they know each child as an individual.

We can’t thank them enough for giving our son the best start to his education and instilling a love for learning from an early age.

I first came to Hydesville Tower School in January 1987 and from a very young age I knew that my true profession would be caring for young children and watching them grow into well-grounded little individuals.
I truly believe that Hydesville is a real part of my family and a wonderful place to be. It has always been an aim of mine to create a lifelong lasting impression on the individual child’s learning and development. I feel that it is imperative that all children can access high-quality education and a broad balanced curriculum, which is conducive to promoting powerful and active little learners.


We actively promote routine within the daily programme, balanced with adult guided structured learning and a recognition of an accurate account of what a child can do is at the heart of our personalised learning models during child-initiated activities.


I really enjoy leading a team of dedicated, hardworking Early Years’ practitioners, who bring a wealth of experience and a robust understanding of the Early Years’ Foundation Stage Curriculum. This not only supports our youngest children to learn effectively but gives me confidence that our children’s needs are put first and we facilitate a high level of quality with tireless commitment.

My name is Laura Willis and my role is that of Deputy Head within the Nursery setting.


I have been employed at Hydesville Tower School Nursery for 15 years, starting in 2005. I have developed not only on my own learning journey but that of students past and present. In 2012 I obtained my Early Years Foundation Degree and progressed my career.


When engaging with the children I enjoy creating and nurturing ideas they have, allowing them to develop their own ideas within our friendly, family teaching environment. If required I can seek support from further specialised roles.


I thrive on a stimulating outdoor environment, a rich indoor learning environment where children and grow and flourish as well as being encouraged to play, inspire to learn and support them in nurturing a future.
I aim to give each child a unique and dynamic learning experience whilst guiding them to lay the foundations for their education, personal, social, and emotional development here at Hydesville.


One of the main things I really like about our Hydesville family is the sense of community, with such strong, positive relationships with the children and parents which is underpinned by our superb and effective teamwork, where we all work together to make it a special place for every child to be able to thrive and succeed.
