If our daughter had to rate this nursery she would give it a million twinkle stars but she’s too young to count yet so we’ll have to just settle for 5 stars for now. She’s been attending Busy Bees since August 2022 and so far the experience has been perfectly smooth, including the very gentle settling-in
process (I don’t always mention how fabulous it is to other parent friends for fear that it sounds like bragging)
The staff are all so kind and loving and engage the kids with plenty of fun indoor and outdoor activities, the menu is nice and varied and our little one loves it so much here she doesn’t even look back at us when we drop her off!
Very happy we managed to secure a place here and it will be our first choice should we have a second child.

Brilliant nursery with the most supportive staff, which made the settling-in process comfortable for myself and my daughter. They're flexible and friendly, and all know my daughter's name and her key person. My daughter happily goes to nursery, and I trust the staff with her, which has made my return

I am very happy with our choice to send our child to Busy Bees Lewisham. Despite the location near a busy road, the nursery feels like a cosy gem cocoon. My child has been at the nursery from the baby room through to toddlers, and I felt she has been loved and nurtured through every room. From a gentle
and understanding settling in period to the provision of exciting and stimulating activities through the ages, 've been really happy. The assistant centre director has been a real diamond (although all our key workers have been lovely) and as a first time parent I felt my anxieties were understood and addressed with care. Food is varied and fresh on site and caters thoughtfully for allergies. We are updated throughout the day via the app and at the end of the day, even when it feels super busy. The staff do an amazing job. The outdoor space is unfortunately small but I'm happy that my child has good access to the outdoors whenever possible.

We have very good experience with Busy Bees Lewisham Day Nursery.
My son has been going to this nursery since he was 11 months until now that he is 3. Our daughter will enjoy the nursery in a few days and we can not wait to see how she learns and plays there.

My son has been attending Busy Bees Lewisham since he was eleven months old and now is almost four years old. The nursery has remained professional, the staff caring and every question or concern that I have raised has been addressed with the utmost care and professionalism. My son has developed in
leaps and bounds. His speech, numeracy, and ability to interact with other children is a testament to the staff. I even notice the great influence the nursery has had on him when we go to kiddie birthday parties. He is able to quickly follow instructions, sit in a circle and play nicely. I am about to have baby number 2 and Busy Bees remains my very first choice!

The assistant centre director and the team are absolute stars. We are so lucky to have found this nursery. Our daughter has always been very shy and has some extra needs and the assistant centre director puts the loveliest strategies in place, especially for her, to make her feel super special, every
day when she arrives. Our daughter's confidence has grown no end. The team are super caring and adore kids (we have been to other nurseries where they don't seem to!) and it feels like an extension of our family.

Busy Bees, Lewisham has been a wonderful place for my son to attend. I selected this nursery over others in the area due to the staff. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere and that all children seem so happy and much loved. My son settled really well thanks to a gentle settling period and since then
he bounds in every morning and has a wonderful day. The staff give good debriefs after the day and the app is very helpful, especially to see when he napped. Regular menus are posted online which helps me see what he will be eating and in the event of any issue, the staff communicate swiftly and tactfully if needed. I am really pleased I picked Busy Bees, Lewisham and will send my second child there too.

Busy Bees, Lewisham is a caring, loving, educational environment. All of my child's key carers became a household name very quickly and are loved by us and our child. Always open to feedback, best communication in comparison to other nurseries and I think we found a real gem with this team.

We have been extremely pleased with Busy Bees, Lewisham and, in particular, I would note the following points: The management team are excellent and very responsive to any concerns we have had or when we have asked for advice (noting that our son is our first child!). The care staff are very diligent
and work hard to make each and every day interesting for the children. The food on offer is of high quality with a varied menu.
When choosing a nursery, we looked at several in the area and, in hindsight, have been extremely happy with our choice.

Both of my children go to Busy Bees, Lewisham, since October 2019 (and March 2020 for my youngest). We chose the nursery as it has a warm, organised and happy atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door. The children are well cared for and happy every day. All staff are pleasant, caring and engaged.
The feedback at the door and via the app is fantastic. We are very grateful to Busy Bees for the care given to the children and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery. The nursery is small, but the facilities are good and the food is made by a chef on-site and is particularly good.

Great experience so far. I see how happy my child is. The development I also witness is amazing. They learn so much. The staff is very friendly and they have many activities in the nursery. The parents are also involved which is amazing.

I cannot recommend Busy Bees enough! Our baby boy was welcomed with open arms and has settled very well in such a short time.
He is very well liked there, the staff are all incredible and very informative of his day and routine. I feel he is completely happy while in their care and couldn’t be happier

Our daughter has been attending Busy Bees for 12-months now and we remain convinced that we picked the right nursery for her. She started in the Babies Room and has progressed through pre-toddlers and has now started in the Toddlers Room
The team are hugely committed, and seeing the relationships our
daughter has made with her wonderful key workers and room team has been lovely to see.
Activities are structured to her interests and development objectives, and the variety of activities, outdoor play and educational focus is wide and ever changing.
The nursery has a welcoming, homely feel and they have been supportive and responsive in adjusting meals and drinks to meet her dietary and health needs.

Our daughter settled in perfectly last year, and she has been attending the Busy Bees Lewisham nursery since then. The members of the staff are professional, kind, and caring, and are experienced to handle severe food allergies like in our case. Our daughter attends the nursery full time, and is visibly

We have been extremely happy with the care our son has received. The team focus on being baby-led which matches our approach at home and so the nursery is an excellent fit for our family. My son is confident and happy at nursery and really enjoys the activities offered which seem to be wide in nature
and variety. My son and his key worker have a strong bond and I know this means he is being cared for to an excellent standard and trusts all the other nursery staff too - some mornings he will leap into their arms ready to play! He eats all the food so I am assuming it tastes great and I know it has been NHS nutritionally approved which also gives me peace of mind. Occasionally the app has broken but this is rare and the only reason I would rate ICT "good" rather than excellent - when it does work it is a fantastic way to be reassured his day is going well - I love to see photos and observations on there.

Busy Bees has really exceeded our expectations. Our 1 year old loves to go and has been progressing incredibly quickly since attending. They are so thoughtful and work so hard to accommodate everyone’s child. They put a lot of care and thought to consider their individual needs and work hard on developing
the children’s confidence. Really love the loving environment and are so glad we chose this nursery.

My daughter has attended since she was 7-months-old and is now two and a half. She loves all the staff and talks about all her friends and the activities they do. It’s great to know the menu is accredited by the NHS, so she has a healthy balanced diet and freshly cooked food on site! It’s hard to keep
up at home! The garden is used in all weathers, and we love getting ideas to use at home to help keep her busy. She has transitioned so well after lockdown, and it’s a credit to the amazing team and management. Thank you!

Our daughter started in August this year, at 11 months old. We were feeling very nervous about nursery, but we had a great settling in period with lots of sessions in advance. Mainly it really reassured us as parents. Our daughter absolutely loves it here! She kicks her legs and waves her arms in excitement
as we walk down the hill towards nursery. Does so many activities, the food is great, and everyone is really lovely. The only problem is that we've got to up our activity quality as parents! Everyone who works there seems to really care about the kids and they're great with us as parents. We get loads of feedback, ideas on what we can do with her, and lots of photos and updates via the dedicated website. Couldn't recommend it any higher.

I would recommend this fabulous nursery.

My name is Deniz Goordyal and I am the Centre Director of Lewisham nursery.


I have worked in Early Years since 1989 and have two children of my own. I have worked at Busy Bees since 2003 first as a Manager at the Greenwich branch and then as a Regional Director for the London Region then returning to managing at the Lewisham branch in 2016. I have come back to my roots as my childcare career began in the London Borough of Lewisham, working in Deptford and the surrounding areas. I hold the BTEC National Diploma in Childcare and a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification. Childcare is my passion and I love to have fun with children. I am creative and like to dance and play games and challenge children's thinking. I have lots of other interests which include travelling, pampering myself and eating out gardening and walking!
