The Nursery is based in Fordham Park, close to New Cross and New Cross Gate stations. It's a spacious, modern nursery with separate rooms and gardens for different age groups.

The experienced staff inspire the children to learn through curiosity and discovery. There are many different activities to try, from science experiments to traditional cooking, world music to yoga, construction, sensory play with water and ice, dialogic reading, and much more! Families can also join in the fun with regular workshops.

We were looking for a good nursery for our son for a long time.
As a result, we have chosen Playhouse Community Nursery and have never regretted our choice.
Wonderful staff, excellent management, plenty of development activities.


I will definitely recommend this nursery to my friends.

Playhouse Nursery is a great place for young children. Our daughter started attending when she was two and didn’t know any English and she was extremely shy and attached to me. It took a little bit of time to settle but the staff was really supportive and engaging.
Her speech improved considerably
since then and she is more confident. The staff is focusing on different activities and subjects for children to better understand the world and surroundings. My daughter has a smile on her face at the end of the day, which is the most important thing.

Amazing nursery. Really lovely ladies working in there, always ready to help and advise. Food is always fresh and nutritious. My little one is learning everything really quick and with fun. Always playing when waiting to pick up. It's really hard to find such an amazing staff as in this nursery in London.

My child has been at Playhouse since September 2014 and is due to graduate this July. The nursery is so accommodating to all our needs and special requirements i.e non-dairy diet, which makes me feel at ease and happy.
The nursery keeps parents well informed about everything and is very engaging.
So I would definitely recommend. I am about to have my second child and they too will go to this nursery.

My daughter has been coming since she was one and seems to really enjoy her time at nursery. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. It’s good to get the weekly newsletter and pictures of what the kids have been up to, and the menu (which always makes me hungry looking at it!)

Our son has joined Playhouse Community Nursery at the end of last year when he turned one and he loves going there every day, which is the best indicator that Playhouse is doing a great job.
We were very happy when we were offered a space as the nursery has caring staff, spacious indoor and outdoor
areas for each group and offers home cooked meals every day.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They all seem dedicated and always take the time to tell us how our son's day has been and what they've been doing.
Since the first week he has joined, we noticed how well his development progressed and how many new things he was learning from eating by himself to singing songs and doing their moves, new words, motoric skills etc.
The nursery is also offering different events to engage parents and provides the weekly Friday Five to keep parents up to date.

Playhouse has been a fantastic nursery for my son. He has been attending for the last year (since he turned one) and I can honestly say that he now comes home singing songs that I don't sing to him, or saying words that I know they have taken the time to teach. They love telling me about what he has
done during the day and genuinely seem to care about his development. He has thrived in their care and as a parent, that is everything that I could ask for.

Playhouse Community Nursery staff are always very professional and welcoming. My son has attended the nursery from 9 months and is now 4 years and I cannot find a fault with the care he has been receiving.
I always like the daily reports I get about my son's day and how happy he always is to go into
nursery to see the staff and his friends.

Playhouse Community Nursery staff have always gone out of their way to accommodate all our son's needs and he is thriving there thanks to all their efforts.
They always maintain a positive attitude and are not faced by any obstacles or difficulties.
Our boy loves going to nursery, has progressed
a lot despite many health problems. We are very grateful for everything they've done.

There are few nurseries around our area but Playhouse Community Nursery attracted us by its indoor/outdoor space and freshly prepared food by the in-house chef. I must also say, that our daughter joined this nursery with no English at all. We were quite pleased with her first words in English within
few months.
She also developed good communication skills and confidence with adults and children. She even has her best friend at nursery now!
We are also enjoying weekly 'Friday Five' so we could see what children are doing during the week.
Overall, we are very happy with the development and progress our daughter has developed over a year at Playhouse Community Nursery.
I would definitely recommend it Extremely Likely!

I like this nursery and especially how staff looks after kids. My son joined at young age and he has been looked after very well. He learned to eat good food and interact with people. No sugar policy and healthy eating habits from nursery are great. Looking forward to online journal this year. Offering
parents with training on various aspects of child's development is wonderful too.

Both my 2yr son and 4yr daughter are with Playhouse Community Nursery. Teachers are passionate professionals taking good care of the children. My daughter picked up a lot of skills and simply enjoys her time being there. We mainly speak Chinese at home so the kids' English is mostly learned at the nursery
for which I can imagine the teachers took more than an extra mile.
Both my children seem to be quite hungry at the end of the day so I assume they are not big fans of the food there. Every year there are several waves of illness in the nursery like everywhere else and kids' immune system gets constantly upgraded which I wouldn't think of it as negative. The place is safe and clean with a lot of natural light and good ventilation, with nice gardens that are of the right scale for children.
The management team have always been efficient and very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Playhouse Community Nursery to parents and children because both my kids are in good hands there.

Our 4-year-old son has been attending since he was 10 months old and our 1 year old is also now at the nursery. Considering the choices in our neighbourhood we feel that our children are getting about the best care they possibly could. Most of all we are very happy with the staff.

Playhouse Community Nursery is a fun, happy environment for our daughter. She enjoys herself and has made terrific friends. There is a good balance of playtime and learning, and activities span a wide range. Our daughter engages with arts, reading, nature, singing, moving, cooking, and so much more.
The hours are very helpful for working parents, and the Nursery Manager is a wonderful support. Location is convenient to public transport and is in the middle of Fordham Park, which makes for a great walk home together in the evening. We have been very happy to send our daughter to Playhouse these past 19 months.

The Playhouse is a pleasant, caring and supportive nursery where staff are excellent. They are very attentive to the need of my sons, encourage their learning and cultivate their confidence. The staff are always willing to discuss and help with specific issues and management is approachable and helpful.
The food is cooked with love and is very tasty. Just an excellent nursery!
