Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough employs high-quality staff and offers the benefits of a high staff to child ratio so that children can get the most out of their time at the facility.

The nursery has a selection of rooms tailored to the different age ranges, reflecting the seven key areas of learning outlined by the EYFS.

All staff are trained in first aid and food hygiene and offer a versatile range of sessions for parent's requirements. Daily menus are selected to support growth and nutrition.

Within a bright and spacious environment, all meals and snacks are prepared onsite, with branded nappies, wipes and creams all included in the price. There is a large outdoor play area with excellent play equipment, convenient parking and fees are inclusive of freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and drinks.

They also have a holiday and before/after school room and are able to drop-off and pick-up from local schools in the area.

The staff at this nursery are absolutely amazing! There's always a friendly face at the door which makes it much easier to leave our little boy there!
He loves going to nursery and doing all types of different activities. I absolutely love the personalised photos we receive of our little ones during

I couldn’t be happier with this nursery and how accommodating they have been since my son started. I pulled him out of the nursery he was in before as his confidence massively took a dive so I was worried about how he would get on. Monkey Puzzle staff have been so patient and let him settle in, in his
own time. My son goes into the nursery so happily and always has a good time while his there which is all I ask. I can communicate with the staff members or the office staff at any time via the app messages and someone always gets back to me quite quickly. Fantastic nursery with nothing bad to say about the setting or staff.

The nursery provide the highest standard of care and my son absolutely loves his time there. The nursery are really flexible with care arrangements which is really helpful. He gets to experience a wide range of activities including spending time outside in the fresh air. I get clear and informative
updates throughout the week to understand what skills he is developing and what I can do to support his learning at home. He has built great relationships with his peers and the room team who look after him. The biggest accolade I can give is that he rarely wants to leave when I’m there to collect him.

My son has been attending Monkey Puzzle since December 2020 and it has been such a positive experience. The staff are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and have made my son's time at nursery such fun. I happily drop him off each session knowing he is going to have a great time, learn new things,
enjoy new experiences and be very well looked after. He loves the 'ladies' and I am very grateful that I made the decision to choose this nursery.

Great nursery, our son loves attending. They do lots of different activities during the day and have exciting themed days for them. The staff are amazing, friendly and caring and message on the app about his day. The app they use is really informative and tells you about sleeping and eating activities.
The food is nutritious and varied. The nursery has lots of outdoor spaces and different rooms filled with exciting things to do. Would highly recommend.

I honestly couldn’t recommend this nursery more. The care from the staff is exceptional, our little one has been attending now for around a year (he’s just turned two), and he has made some incredible bonds with some of the girls who look after him. He’s always talking about them at home! The variety
of food is great and every day they do so many wonderful activities, I don’t know how they have time to fit it all in. Although only two, our little one can already count to 10, knows all his colours, and can even sing the ABC - we put a lot of this down to the fantastic care and commitment from the nursery. The app is also great at keeping us informed on his daily activities and sleep/meals. We’ve just had another baby and we’ll definitely be sending him when the time comes, knowing he’ll be safe and very well cared for. Thank you Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough!

My son has been attending since February 2021, I am so happy with how much he has progressed and that is all down to the lovely staff. They are all so kind and caring and greet you with a smile everyday.
I love how involved they keep us with the app getting daily updates so we can see all the important
things such as their meals, nappy changes, nap times and their daily activities.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

When we moved to the area this place was a real haven for our child, it helped her broaden her horizons and really brought her social skills along, early years development and she absolutely adores the staff.


Everyone is so friendly, never seem to have an off day and really good at keeping you informed

of how she is doing, well or poorly.


They are full of helpful tips for new parents like us and are always willing to answer any questions you have to overcome any anxiety you might have. They provide updates of what your child is learning that day so that you can reinforce their development at home.


We are really going to miss this place when we move away but will be grateful for the foundation they have given our child.

My little girl goes into nursery happily and comes out full of excitement - we know that she is happy and from our first visit, I felt very secure leaving her; this is a big nursery but with an absolute skill for making every child/family feel known. We only use the nursery for two mornings a week but
it is an absolute highlight of my daughter’s week and we are really grateful to the staff for the wonderful work that they put in to make this the case. I particularly like how the nursery brings special days and times of year to life for the children, and sometimes the immersion begins before we even reach the front door with music, lights or props - the naughty Christmas elf was a particular hit and it is these little touches and above and beyond efforts that really set this nursery apart. I will look back very pleased to know that Monkey Puzzle was a part of my child’s early years experience.

My son has been attending the nursery since November 2021 aged 10 months. He loves it! I get sent beautiful pictures of what he is up to each day and they use an app to keep me updated on naps, food and nappies etc which really helps to put my mind at ease. All of the staff are super friendly and the

Our daughter absolutely loves coming to Monkey Puzzle! The activities she does are fun and stimulating, the staff always greet her with a smile and the communication between nursery and school is great. I love receiving photos of what she’s been up to each day as well as the activities planned in advance

My grandson attends the nursery and I couldn’t be happier! The staff are very warm and welcoming. We get daily updates via the parent app, it’s very reassuring knowing what he has done during the day! The menus are very varied as well.

My little girl goes to Monkey Puzzle and has done since she was 6 months old. She has recently made the leap into preschool and was struggling with being a little fish in a big pond but the staff have been amazing with gently allowing her to integrate into the room. After just 2 weeks she is much happier
and joining in with all the lovely activities they have. She always chats to me on the way home telling me about her day and loves the staff and children so much.
An excellent nursery and I wouldn't send her anywhere else

The staff at Monkey Puzzle have been so amazing with my little boy. He was a lockdown baby so extremely shy and clingy, but they reassured both myself and him constantly and he settled in brilliantly. The facilities are fantastic and they do so much for the children!

My son is thriving at Monkey Puzzle in Irthlingborough. The staff are focused and caring and interact with them so well, it feels like handing him to a relative. I am so encouraged by the relationship they develop and the attention to their safety, there’s no wonder my son literally runs through the
door every day. It’s very telling that he refers to each of his room staff by name. Super pleased with this nursery.

I have been working here at Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough since just after we opened. I have over 19 years’ experience in Child Care and am Level 5 qualified. I also have 3 children of my own, so all my spare time is spent taking care of teenage boys!
This is the best Nursery I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. The whole team care passionately about Early Years and providing the highest standards of care. We have recently been awarded the Ofsted grading of ‘Outstanding’, something which I am so proud of!

Michelle Mobey

Michelle Mobey Co-Owner and Principal

Michelle is a Qualified Teacher holding a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Qualified teaching status as well as a Master of Arts Degree specialising in Early Years Education. She has been working in education and childcare for over 15 years, as well as bringing up her two children, who attend/attended their settings.

When asked why she wanted to work with children, Michelle replied ” I have always wanted to be work with children. I love their energy, honesty and their total love of everything fun and exciting. I really enjoy sharing new ideas and experiences with them. My hope is that I can create a fun, exciting and caring learning environment. I have a lot of patience, enthusiasm, creativity and enjoy helping children (and adults) to discover new things. I want to create an environment that is exciting and fun for the children and my staff. As long as children are given, love, support and encouragement they will succeed. Job satisfaction was the most important factor in choosing a career, and working with children, I believe, is the ultimate choice.”

Since moving to the UK, from South Africa in 2007, Michelle has worked for the National Autistic Society as a teacher creating highly motivating, sensory, dynamic and visually based lessons. After having her first child she branched out into Childminding and received an Outstanding from Ofsted. Michelle has experience of working with children who have multiple barriers to their learning with a vast array of needs and abilities. She hopes to pass on this knowledge to her staff and will use her previous experience as a sound base for coaching and staff development.

Michelle is a good people manager, believing that open honesty, clarity and consideration go a long way in inspiring the best from people. She has a strong work ethos and is highly adaptable, motivated and incredibly enthusiastic.

Simon Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner, Maintenance and Facilities Manager

Joined: 2014

Simon is one of our owners, and is responsible for all things building, site and maintenance. He is a qualified electrician holding 17th Edition city & Guilds, CDM Construction Design Manager, British Safety Council Level 2 ‘Risk Assessment, Fire Warden, LGWSETA trade Test-Electrician (SA), National N3 Certificate (SA).

Simon has the amazing task of creating and building special requests for our team as well as building, upgrading and our fantastic Nursery. He works tirelessly in repairing, building and generally making our Amazing Nursery even more awesome.

In 2015 Michelle and Simon opened their first Nursery, Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough. Michelle managed this until late 2016. In 2017 Michelle & Simon opened their second beautiful setting Monkey Puzzle Kettering. Following on from the success of these two amazing settings in, July 2018 Michelle and Simon took over ownership of Monkey Puzzle Bedford.
