Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough employs high-quality staff and offers the benefits of a high staff to child ratio so that children can get the most out of their time at the facility.

The nursery has a selection of rooms tailored to the different age ranges, reflecting the seven key areas of learning outlined by the EYFS.

All staff are trained in first aid and food hygiene and offer a versatile range of sessions for parent's requirements. Daily menus are selected to support growth and nutrition.

Within a bright and spacious environment, all meals and snacks are prepared onsite, with branded nappies, wipes and creams all included in the price. There is a large outdoor play area with excellent play equipment, convenient parking and fees are inclusive of freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and drinks.

They also have a holiday and before/after school room and are able to drop-off and pick-up from local schools in the area.

Amazing staff, great atmosphere for learning and growth. The site is very secure with fantastic resources/rooms. Communication with home is great, mostly done through the parent app which also gives plenty of information about little one’s day.


I highly recommend this nursery.

After looking at quite a few nurseries in the surrounding area, as soon as I found it here I knew this was the place. The staff are incredible and my daughter loves it. So many activities and play. She gets so excited when we drive up. They really listen to my child’s schedule and are happy to help.
Since joining Monkey Puzzle, my daughter has gone from strength to strength!

Quite easily one of the best nurseries around. My son has gone here for 3 years and it’s been a really great experience. Amazing staff all round. The activities are fantastic the engagement is exactly what is needed from a nursery.

Both our children have loved their time at Monkey Puzzle and have learnt so much from them. The staff and management are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Despite all the challenges with lockdown, they have always communicated promptly. They keep us updated through an app on what activities they
are doing each day and what our kids have eaten etc. Would happily recommend to anyone.

My little boy has been going to Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough since he was 1 and I couldn’t wish for a better nursery to send him to. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming at drop off time and no questions go unanswered. They are always so responsive and go the extra mile to ensure they are
providing the best care to the little ones. I always leave my little boy knowing he’s going to have the best day. I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a great, friendly place to send their child.

My child loves to go to nursery, she is learning so much there. It's an amazing place for my baby. She became very independent and is talking non-stop. Loves singing, dancing and loves messy play. The staff are always very supportive.

Since my daughter has started at Monkey Puzzle she has gone from strength to strength with everything she does. The staff are amazing with her and she really loves it there. She even asks if she can go when it’s her day off. They always keep us updated about what she’s been up to and how she’s getting
on. I couldn’t fault this nursery at all and when my boy is older he will certainly be going there too. It’s an excellent nursery I would highly recommend!

Cannot fault this nursery. All staff are friendly and very welcoming. My daughter is always excited to go to nursery and always comes out smiling. I love how involved the nursery makes me feel when my daughter is attending her session. Will forever recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was a baby and we absolutely love it. The staff and management are incredibly friendly and always give the best care possible to the children. I can, hand on heart, say that I do not worry at all about my daughter whilst she is there, I trust the staff
completely and she is always having lots of fun. The children have access to many activities and resources, we are always getting pictures and presents from them to treasure. Very highly recommended.

We have had 2 children attend this nursery. My eldest started at 10 months and moved to school in September 2020. My youngest is 20 months so started mid-pandemic. The staff have been amazing and have worked tirelessly through the pandemic to support children and aid their development. Both my girls
have been so happy and loved in the nursery. They have reached all their milestones. The nursery is full of joy, opportunities for natural exploration and a focus on the individuality of children.

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery exceeds all expectations, providing a loving, nurturing and educational environment.
The knowledge and support given is second-to-none and the service provided is more than excellent. The staff are beyond friendly, and fulfil their duty of care to an outstanding level, and
I cannot thank them enough for the attention and care given to the children.
They go above and beyond every single day, with special attention given to favourite activities and seasonally relevant events.
No nursery or staff come close to Monkey Puzzle. The manager and all of the staff make this a wonderful place to be.

My son has been going to the nursery for 3 years and my daughter has been going for nearly a year. The kids absolutely love going here. Whenever we have needed to speak to the nursery they have been amazing with us and always come back to us quickly. Our son and daughter have dietary issues, son is
celiac and daughter was milk intolerant (grown out of this now) and the nursery were brilliant with sorting our kid's meals and worked with us. We honestly couldn't be any happier with how the manager and her team run the nursery/rooms.

My little one settled in so well thanks to the staff being so welcoming and supportive and they made us feel so at ease in times of uncertainty when joining last summer. We cannot thank them enough for the time and effort they have put in to help my little one with their speech. Before nursery, there
was little verbal communication and now we’re being surprised every day with the vast improvement. Would highly recommend!

Our 18 month old little boy attends this nursery and he loves it. He is always so happy when we drop and pick him. The staff are so lovely and we can really see how he has developed since attending this nursery. We are always kept up to date with his day to day activities through their app. We receive
quite a few pictures of what he has been playing with and we get a message at the end of every day with a handover. I can’t rate this nursery enough and so pleased with the kindness and attention he gets from the staff.

I have two children who were welcomed here last June - my daughter into preschool and my son into babies (he’s now in tweenies). All of the staff are lovely and always helpful with questions. The parent app is great for keeping you informed - especially now that parents pick up and collect at the door
due to COVID, so you may not always see your child’s key worker, but they can always be contacted. My children are excited to go to nursery and always enjoy the wide range of activities. I love the outside space here and the amount of time that the children are outdoors. The meals are always eaten (my daughter thinks the chef is awesome!) and I often get asked to make things at home like they do at nursery. I have no worries at all about leaving my children here and highly rate the teaching and staff.

Our child has been going to Monkey Puzzle since he was about 8 months old. We looked at several nurserys in the area and we were happiest with this one. The nursery itself is amazing and so are the staff. The children go on trips to the supermarket round the corner (not during COVID obviously) and there
is an app which staff send messages and pictures about your child’s day. Our son had a milk intolerance when younger and the nursery were very good at accommodating his dietary needs. The nursery is always clean and tidy.
We have just had another child and he will definitely be going to Monkey Puzzle too.
We would recommend Monkey Puzzle and the team to anyone.

My little girl has been going to Monkey Puzzle since she was around 7 months. She is now 4 and she absolutely loves it!
The staff are brilliant, attentive and caring. The activities are varied and well thought of.
The garden/outdoor space is used all year round. The parent app means you can see what
your little one is getting up to and you have that contact to hand when they are there gives you peace of mind.
Particularly during the last year and the pandemic, the staff have been fantastic, keeping the little ones safe. Highly recommend Monkey Puzzle Irthingborough.

I have been working here at Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough since just after we opened. I have over 19 years’ experience in Child Care and am Level 5 qualified. I also have 3 children of my own, so all my spare time is spent taking care of teenage boys!
This is the best Nursery I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. The whole team care passionately about Early Years and providing the highest standards of care. We have recently been awarded the Ofsted grading of ‘Outstanding’, something which I am so proud of!

Michelle Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner and Principal

Michelle Mobey Co-Owner and Principal

Michelle is a Qualified Teacher holding a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Qualified teaching status as well as a Master of Arts Degree specialising in Early Years Education. She has been working in education and childcare for over 15 years, as well as bringing up her two children, who attend/attended their settings.

When asked why she wanted to work with children, Michelle replied ” I have always wanted to be work with children. I love their energy, honesty and their total love of everything fun and exciting. I really enjoy sharing new ideas and experiences with them. My hope is that I can create a fun, exciting and caring learning environment. I have a lot of patience, enthusiasm, creativity and enjoy helping children (and adults) to discover new things. I want to create an environment that is exciting and fun for the children and my staff. As long as children are given, love, support and encouragement they will succeed. Job satisfaction was the most important factor in choosing a career, and working with children, I believe, is the ultimate choice.”

Since moving to the UK, from South Africa in 2007, Michelle has worked for the National Autistic Society as a teacher creating highly motivating, sensory, dynamic and visually based lessons. After having her first child she branched out into Childminding and received an Outstanding from Ofsted. Michelle has experience of working with children who have multiple barriers to their learning with a vast array of needs and abilities. She hopes to pass on this knowledge to her staff and will use her previous experience as a sound base for coaching and staff development.

Michelle is a good people manager, believing that open honesty, clarity and consideration go a long way in inspiring the best from people. She has a strong work ethos and is highly adaptable, motivated and incredibly enthusiastic.

Simon Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner, Maintenance and Facilities Manager

Joined: 2014

Simon is one of our owners, and is responsible for all things building, site and maintenance. He is a qualified electrician holding 17th Edition city & Guilds, CDM Construction Design Manager, British Safety Council Level 2 ‘Risk Assessment, Fire Warden, LGWSETA trade Test-Electrician (SA), National N3 Certificate (SA).

Simon has the amazing task of creating and building special requests for our team as well as building, upgrading and our fantastic Nursery. He works tirelessly in repairing, building and generally making our Amazing Nursery even more awesome.

In 2015 Michelle and Simon opened their first Nursery, Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough. Michelle managed this until late 2016. In 2017 Michelle & Simon opened their second beautiful setting Monkey Puzzle Kettering. Following on from the success of these two amazing settings in, July 2018 Michelle and Simon took over ownership of Monkey Puzzle Bedford.
