Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough employs high-quality staff and offers the benefits of a high staff to child ratio so that children can get the most out of their time at the facility.

The nursery has a selection of rooms tailored to the different age ranges, reflecting the seven key areas of learning outlined by the EYFS.

All staff are trained in first aid and food hygiene and offer a versatile range of sessions for parent's requirements. Daily menus are selected to support growth and nutrition.

Within a bright and spacious environment, all meals and snacks are prepared onsite, with branded nappies, wipes and creams all included in the price. There is a large outdoor play area with excellent play equipment, convenient parking and fees are inclusive of freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and drinks.

They also have a holiday and before/after school room and are able to drop-off and pick-up from local schools in the area.

Little Monkey has been at the nursery since he was 10 months old and has very good relationships with all the staff members. Will be very sad when he leaves in September to start school

The staff are all friendly and always say hello and have a nice day. The way they are with my son is brilliant and he has come on leaps and bounds. He talks better now and he loves walks to the local supermarket and the garden area. I can recommend them "1000 percent" also I love that you get sent updates
of his day and what he's eaten, been doing in photos and even toilet information.

Monkey Puzzle have been fantastic for my little boy! All of the staff are so friendly and accommodating. My son had multiple food intolerances as a baby and they made me feel so safe and supported leaving my son in their care.
The activities the staff do with the children are so varied and age-appropriate,
my son loves coming to nursery and it’s all because of the amazing care they provide.
I’ve recommended them to all of my friends with children and family!

My little girl started in October 2018 having previously been with a childminder. She was also unwell at the time of starting and therefore was not herself. The staff at Monkey Puzzle were fab with her and she is now full of confidence and making massive strides in her development. I am happy knowing
that my little girl is being looked after and cared for by dedicated staff. They have also been fab with her food allergies. Highly recommend.

My son goes three days a week and he absolutely loves it! He learns so much every day and he loves telling me before he goes to bed what he's done that day and learnt. The nursery has helped him becoming such a confident happy little boy!

I have 2 toddlers at Monkey Puzzle, both ask every day if they are going as they don’t go every day. They love it so much.
Development is clear and much more noticeable than at a previous nursery for my eldest. I can’t recommend them enough for all round holistic care.

Our 1-year-old son has been going to the nursery for 2 weeks now. The staff there are so lovely and we knew the minute we looked around it was the nursery for us! The nursery uses an App which you can look through to see what your child has been up to during the day such as naps, what food they’ve eaten
and nappy changes. The nursery is great value for money too as the fees all include food, wipes and nappies which many other nurseries did not offer. So pleased we found Monkey Puzzle!

My son has been coming here since he was 11 months old and he absolutely loves it. He really enjoys the garden and the sensory room. The staff are friendly and professional and give him all the care he needs - he has come on in so many ways since being here. All questions and comments are well received

Monkey Puzzle is very bright and fun. My two girls are always coming home singing nursery rhymes, telling me different stories they had read and also talking about the other children they play with.
The teachers are very approachable and friendly and talk about the children’s day when you pick them
up, which is great. I love that the teachers send messages and pictures through the family website, so you are kept up to date with what’s going on.
Overall, the nursery is clean, the teachers are caring and the children love it there. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We have recently moved to the area so the children had to move nurseries. They have both settled in brilliantly and really love all the staff. It’s a lovely friendly atmosphere and all the staff are warm and engaging. Nothing seems like too much trouble and I feel completely at ease leaving my babies
in their care. This feeling is priceless when it comes to your children. I would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

My little girl started this nursery when she was 2 years old. I viewed several nurseries in the area but chose this one for its warm, busy atmosphere that I knew she would thrive in. To this day, my little one has never cried at the thought of going to nursery. I have never felt more reassured at work,
knowing she is having the BEST day. The activities provided are to a good level of education for the age groups and there is plenty of group time. My little girl has developed so much, especially with her speech and confidence. The staff are warm and inviting in the toddler and pre-school rooms and more than happy to help with any queries. The manager is equally as lovely and always professional - seen to have good working relationships with her staff. Keep up the good work girls - you make us parents very happy, keep our children safe and educated with ample amounts of fun! Nothing beats listening to my daughters day at nursery.

From the first moment I met the staff at Monkey Puzzle, I felt completely confident my little boy would be fine. The very first morning I left him, it was so emotional and upsetting for us both. The staff were fantastic, gave me regular updates to set my mind at rest, reassured me and my baby boy and
made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Now my baby is almost 4. He loves his time at pre-school. He has really learnt some important life lessons that I'm sure being at home without the interaction of the staff and other children would have taken longer and would have been more difficult. He is thriving and I'm so proud of him. He is being set up to be a confident young man moving up to school which I have no doubt is greatly influenced by his key workers at pre-school. One word amazing!!!

Monkey Puzzle is an absolutely fantastic nursery, from the moment I walked in there I knew this was the place I wanted to send my daughter to. She wasn’t quite 2 when I enrolled her and a little wary of the other children. The staff are absolutely amazing, so warming and welcoming and offered comfort
to her and she really bonded with them before coming out of her shell and is now the confident, bubbly, outgoing girl she is at home and has so many friends it’s lovely to see. She will miss this nursery so much when she goes to school this year! My son also goes who is 2 and it has done him the world of good. He really has come out of himself. I would absolutely recommend this nursery.

I have been working here at Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough since just after we opened. I have over 19 years’ experience in Child Care and am Level 5 qualified. I also have 3 children of my own, so all my spare time is spent taking care of teenage boys!
This is the best Nursery I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. The whole team care passionately about Early Years and providing the highest standards of care. We have recently been awarded the Ofsted grading of ‘Outstanding’, something which I am so proud of!

Michelle Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner and Principal

Michelle Mobey Co-Owner and Principal

Michelle is a Qualified Teacher holding a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Qualified teaching status as well as a Master of Arts Degree specialising in Early Years Education. She has been working in education and childcare for over 15 years, as well as bringing up her two children, who attend/attended their settings.

When asked why she wanted to work with children, Michelle replied ” I have always wanted to be work with children. I love their energy, honesty and their total love of everything fun and exciting. I really enjoy sharing new ideas and experiences with them. My hope is that I can create a fun, exciting and caring learning environment. I have a lot of patience, enthusiasm, creativity and enjoy helping children (and adults) to discover new things. I want to create an environment that is exciting and fun for the children and my staff. As long as children are given, love, support and encouragement they will succeed. Job satisfaction was the most important factor in choosing a career, and working with children, I believe, is the ultimate choice.”

Since moving to the UK, from South Africa in 2007, Michelle has worked for the National Autistic Society as a teacher creating highly motivating, sensory, dynamic and visually based lessons. After having her first child she branched out into Childminding and received an Outstanding from Ofsted. Michelle has experience of working with children who have multiple barriers to their learning with a vast array of needs and abilities. She hopes to pass on this knowledge to her staff and will use her previous experience as a sound base for coaching and staff development.

Michelle is a good people manager, believing that open honesty, clarity and consideration go a long way in inspiring the best from people. She has a strong work ethos and is highly adaptable, motivated and incredibly enthusiastic.

Simon Mobey

Job Title: Co-owner, Maintenance and Facilities Manager

Joined: 2014

Simon is one of our owners, and is responsible for all things building, site and maintenance. He is a qualified electrician holding 17th Edition city & Guilds, CDM Construction Design Manager, British Safety Council Level 2 ‘Risk Assessment, Fire Warden, LGWSETA trade Test-Electrician (SA), National N3 Certificate (SA).

Simon has the amazing task of creating and building special requests for our team as well as building, upgrading and our fantastic Nursery. He works tirelessly in repairing, building and generally making our Amazing Nursery even more awesome.

In 2015 Michelle and Simon opened their first Nursery, Monkey Puzzle Irthlingborough. Michelle managed this until late 2016. In 2017 Michelle & Simon opened their second beautiful setting Monkey Puzzle Kettering. Following on from the success of these two amazing settings in, July 2018 Michelle and Simon took over ownership of Monkey Puzzle Bedford.
