The Review Score of 9.6 (9.569) out of 10 for Little Forest Folk Wimbledon is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.869 for Little Forest Folk Wimbledon is calculated as follows: ( (75 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.869
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Forest Folk Wimbledon is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 number of registered child places is 6.4, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

From growing up in the Hampshire countryside, Poppy has always enjoyed being outdoors, and she is fascinated by the way in which children can use nature to learn, play and explore.

Carrie has been extremely fortunate to have been surrounded by nature for most of her life. She grew up on Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada where she spent her free time climbing trees, swimming, and riding her bike.
Her family have always been avid campers and they still consider muddy clothes, skinned knees, and a big grin a sign of a good day out! She was involved in Girl Guiding and worked at a camp and outdoor centre in Algonquin Provincial Park for 15 years, where she discovered her love for outdoor education.
As a qualified teacher, she has taught in both traditional classrooms and informal education settings but has always found the most joy and fulfilment when working with others outdoors. Seeing children (and adults!) make new discoveries and become immersed in their surroundings always reminds her why the environment is so important for development and well-being. During free time Carrie can be found wandering the outdoors, reading in a sunbeam, playing volleyball, or working out how to keep parakeets from eating all the birdseed!

Olivia has always spent time outside, as a child she loved going to local parks, beaches and forests with her family (& still does!). This inspired her to do her Adventure Education degree where she learnt outdoor sports such as: kayaking, canoeing, sailing, skiing and rock climbing.
She now climbs regularly at different London climbing centres & her weekends are full of sport, anything from watching Crystal Palace in Selhurst or netball online.
She completed her PGCE at Canterbury and taught in South London for a few years. She is now undertaking her Level 2 forest school training. She is really interested in how the outdoors and forest school ethos can benefit children and their development.

She was a Brownie and Guide growing up and enjoyed camping and campfire singing with the Guides. She has been a Brownie leader for many years now.
Previously, she has worked with children in several different settings; including schools, holiday clubs and on a farm. Looking after the planet is important to her, she is making small changes to make a difference. When not at work, she enjoys gluten free baking, reading and sewing. She also likes walking in the countryside and spending time on her allotment.

Philip joins Little Forest Folk with 6 years of experience working in the early years. He spent 2 years in Beijing, China teaching in an international nursery. When he returned to the UK he continued working with children while studying at university for his BA in child education and psychology.
Philip believes that children are granted limitless opportunities to learn through outdoor play and exploration and jumped at the chance to work with a nursery that provides these opportunities.
When Philip's not studying he is in the woods with his nephews building structures and exploring.
