Teddie Tots Day Nursery provides parents and their children with a warm and welcoming nursery setting, providing children with care and support during their early years.

Staff at Teddie Tots Day Nursery carefully plan around each child's individual needs to help them to deliver sensitive learning experiences and to support child-initiated and spontaneous play activities.

During their time at the nursery, meals are freshly prepared on-site daily to ensure children's nutritional needs are met.

Staff are DBS checked and Pediatric first-aid trained, both of which are updated annually. While staff participate in courses regularly to ensure their knowledge and training is up-to-date and that children are provided with the best care and learning facilities.

Teddies is a great nursery, my daughter has been so happy coming in and loves all her teachers in upper pre-school, as well as the other staff members in the other rooms. She comes home talking about the things she learns from her class and has been showing more interest in learning things. My daughter
enjoys playing in the garden and loves the soft play area! The nursery is kept clean at all times.

My daughters love Teddies Tots! I can't quite believe how fast their development has been since they joined in Nov 23. They didn't settle well in their last nursery but have settled flawlessly into Teddies Tots. They are only in 2 days but their excitement, confidence, and overall happiness have left
me so comforted to know they are well looked after. The increase in vocabulary has been so wonderful to hear and I have Teddies Tots to thank for that. The staff are outstanding and truly care about the girl's development. The variety of activities every single day is fantastic and with the recent opening of the soft play area, the children have the best time regardless of the weather.

Teddies Tots is wonderful! From my first show around to settling in days and my little one starting, I have been nothing but impressed. The facilities are wonderful and the staff are all utterly amazing! As a first-time mum I was so worried about leaving my daughter but the staff were so understanding
and supportive and my little girl settled in right away. The communication is outstanding and the overall atmosphere is brilliant. I cannot recommend this nursery enough!

Our son loves going to Teddies Tots Day Nursery. The staff are so friendly and approachable and have all contributed to our son's development. The nursery communicates with parents via an app and updates daily on everything including what they have eaten, nappy changes and sleeping times. A planning
sheet is sent out weekly which lists all activities for the following week so you can see what they will be learning which gives you the chance to talk to your child about what they have been up to and reinforce the ideas. The team also send out regular photos to accompany the weekly activities which give you a great insight into your child's time at nursery. Our son has developed so much since his time at Teddies Tots and always looks forward to going in, in the mornings.

Nursery and staff absolutely brilliant. My daughter (18 months) loves it and the staff. She has only been for 2 months but it's like she's been for a year already, she really enjoys it. Staff are wonderful always kind, smiling, and pleasant. Very patient with you and your child at all times. You can
ask or request anything they will always do their best to ensure they can help you and your child in the best way.

Our son has been within Teddies Tots since he was 1 year and half (just over 2 years ago). At the beginning we were really nervous in putting him to nursery, as I was even considering if I should quit my job and taking care of him. But I know we have done the best choice. Cannot thank enough the staff
for always caring for our son, for helping him develop so much and so well in all this time, for making him feel safe and loved within the setting, even when it was time for him to move to upper rooms. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming and would highly recommend Teddies Tots.

I can’t speak highly enough of all the team at Teddies Tots! From day one they welcomed my son and my family with such open arms.
They really went above and beyond to care for my son and bring out the best in him.
If there were ever any problems or concerns the staff at Teddies always took the time
to listen so we could overcome any hurdles. They really get to know each individual child and their families. My son always enjoyed going to nursery there and he loved the staff members. He really did flourish over the 2.5 years he was at Teddies and I have so many thanks for all the team there.

Can’t speak highly enough about Teddies Tots. My son has been going to Teddies for the past 6 months and he absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing, helpful, knowledgeable and look after your child like one of their own. They do a multitude of different activities throughout the day to keep them
busy, and always kept up to date by the app.


Honestly cannot recommend it enough!

Our son has been attending this nursery for 9 months and it’s been a great move for him. The staff are friendly and caring and we are impressed with the activities they arrange and document on the app each week. It’s fantastic value for money and our son loves it there. My son started in the toddler's group in Feb 2023. Last 8 months, we can definitely see the improvements in his learning and speaking. All the staff are kind, and supportive, and respond quickly to queries and messages. I would recommend this nursery.

I have sent both of my children to this beautiful nursery. They have always felt so loved and cared for and they really do feel like family to us. The activities they do always look like so much fun, especially the messy play, and both my kids have been suitably worn out (in the best way) by the end
of the day. Cannot recommend them enough!

My child is in Uppers and she loves it. My daughter has learned a lot this year and comes home happy every day. There is a great team in Uppers and all the staff at the nursery are very nice. I would recommend the nursery to anyone who asks.

I was thinking of leaving this review for quite a while, as we removed our daughter back in May 2023. My daughter was enrolled to the Teddies Tots when she was 11 months old and attended until 2 years and 4 months. The issues started when she was moved to lowers in Feb 2023. Since then until 4th May
2023, we had ongoing issues. She fell asleep in the poop and she had a severe nappy rash. Her bum wasn't changed properly. She smelled of poo most of the time, also dirty nappy leaked on a few occasions. The last straw was a scratch on her privates, which just faded off after 4 months. I have been told that did not happen at the nursery or that she did this herself and that is the first child removed from the nursery due to nappy rash. Overall I was forced to resign from my work, as finding a good nursery takes time and there is a waiting list in most of the nurseries. Please reconsider this nursery, as that was a very stressful time for our little family. I am hoping that Teddies Tott improve the standards.

We provided all the necessary documentation and evidence to show the facts to satisfy them of any concerns that you had. They looked into everything and closed this case. We were not given any areas to improve upon. As a result of your complaint however, we reviewed our practice to ensure the team continue to provide high-quality care and education and have found that they are doing everything they should be and more to ensure our families remain well cared for. We pride ourselves on our high standards, and our reviews speak for themselves. It is sad to see this review and to know that you are so upset, especially as we had such a good working relationship with you and we all miss seeing your daughter at nursery. Ofsted is very thorough in their complaints process so I hope this puts your mind at ease. We hope that you find a suitable nursery for you all as soon as possible. Best Wishes

My daughter started at Teddies Tots Day Nursery in May and I could not have hoped for a better start than she has had. Every single member of staff I have spoken to has been friendly and supportive towards myself and enthusiastic and kind towards my daughter. The updates I receive throughout the day
are informative and thorough. The nursery is clean and the atmosphere is cheerful. I can not recommend this nursery enough.

Teddies Tots Day Nursery is an amazing nursery! We're so happy we found this place, with extremely caring staff. They take a very child-centred approach, meaning the care they provide is very personalised to the child. They do lots of fun, messy play activities. They even have a whole soft playroom,
which is amazing so the children have the opportunity even in bad weather/winter to be active every day. They also really try to focus on each child's strength, for example when they speak another language at home, they try to incorporate some words into the nursery day. Staff also puts importance on healthy habits, including eating, brushing teeth, tidying up and talking about emotions. All the staff is extremely lovely, and approachable. I recommend this setting to all my good friends in the area!

The staff are always helpful and friendly. My granddaughter loves it there. Always plenty of feedback. Well organised and always lots of exciting things going on. All the children seem happy and well supervised and included in whatever is going on. The staff give lots of information on my granddaughter's
development and progress that she is making as well as the ambitions for the future.

Teddies Tots is an excellent nursery with fantastic staff. They are extremely friendly and helpful. They regularly keep us informed via the app on our child's days at nursery. This is insightful as first-time parents as to how our child progresses and how she has settled in.

Teddies Tots Day Nursery is one of the best nurseries, if not the best nursery in Watford. My little one loves it there, she is so happy going in the door each day. She has been in Teddies since before she turned one, she is now three. She has built such a good relationship with all the staff there.
All of our family live in Ireland so it is hard but Teddies Tots are like our family here in Watford and have made life so much easier. My little girl loves all the different activities they do each day. Any questions I have about how to manage situations with my little one's behaviour at home are answered and I am given advice to help which I am so grateful for. Honestly, every staff member has helped me at one stage or another during our time in Teddies. I cannot rate Teddies Tots enough.

Fantastic nursery. The team do a brilliant job of settling in new children such as my daughter, she has taken to the change in such an easy manner due to the care and attention the staff give to all the children. The activities they plan are diverse and well-resourced. They have excellent meal facilities
and the children seem to eat a very varied and interesting range of foods. The communication is excellent, with detailed run-downs of what meals and naps they have had and at what times.
I can thoroughly recommend Teddy Tots to any and all.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Hello I am Chloe the nursery manager for Teddies Tots Nursery. I am level 3 qualified in childcare and education and have been working in daycare settings for more than 11 years. Throughout the years I have worked my way up to nursery manager completing many courses to develop my knowledge and to support the families I work with. I have now been a nursery manager for over 6 years so have lots of experience in this role. My passion is for the children and families who come through the setting supporting all families through the early milestones before the children head off to “big school” I also have a passion for mentoring a staff team to provide them with opportunities to grow and develop to bringing out their passions so the children and families receive the best care and education possible. We have a fantastic team and one which I am very proud to be working with.


In my personal life I enjoy walking, running and generally keeping fit and healthy and try to promote this with our children and families too. I also enjoy knitting and watering my many house plants.
