Into-Play @ Barnwood opened in October 2015 and was previously the old Barnwood doctor's surgery. It is perfectly situated to provide childcare to Barnwood, Elmbridge, Hucclecote and Abbeymead.

The nursery has been carefully designed to provide all age groups with superb equipment and activities to suit their developmental stage. They have an under 2's room, 2-3's room and large pre-school unit, which is complemented by a huge outdoor space to allow the children to get out in the fresh air and enjoy mud kitchens, reading teepee and the outside playroom, known as "The Shed". (Gloucester Rugby Reference!)

IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood is nothing outside of outstanding. The manager goes above and beyond for the children and she works outside of her hours to ensure the children enjoy their time at the nursery. Staff are always happy and approachable and are always willing to go the extra mile for the
children. It is clear that they are a fantastic team and work well together across the rooms. I moved my little boy here in 2021 and have never had an issue leaving him. I have full trust and faith in all of the staff and could not recommend this nursery highly enough.

Very friendly staff and my granddaughter has settled beautifully. She is doing lots of different activities every time she attends and comes home happy and smiling, telling us all about her various friends.

This is the best Nursery. Leaving your little one is really hard for a first time mom but when you know they are in good hands you’ll be more than happy and satisfied. IntoPlay Day Nursery Barnwood have great staff they are so hard working and so supportive if we need extra hours for our little one
due to some emergency. Ready to help.

The best nursery! They are so amazing with my daughter, she has been there since she was a little baby and she absolutely loves it! She is so cheeky but the staff are amazing with her! She always comes home with new words or knows new animal sounds! Would never take her anywhere else.

My daughter has attended IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood since she turned 1, right at the start of Covid. Handing over your child for the first time can be emotional, especially when Covid meant that I couldn’t be with her for induction. After the first day, my mind was quickly and easily put at rest,
picking up a happy, smiley little girl from friendly and professional staff. Seeing pictures, photos and getting a full update of everything she had been doing that day.
Over the course of three years, nothing has changed. My daughter loves nursery, she loves the staff and her friends that she has met there.
I definitely picked the right nursery. My daughter is safe, well cared for and entertained - and educated - all day by some amazing people.
They do an amazing job and that means that I can confidently get on and do mine. Thank you all.

I absolutely love this nursery, as do both my boys, the staff are wonderful and I couldn't be happier. My boys have loved their time there, they always come out happy. The food is great and communication with the staff is excellent.

I can't even begin to express how unbelievable this nursery is. My daughter has thrived since joining in September 2021 and the staff here have done nothing but support her additional needs and helped me in our journey to making sure she has everything to help her keep progressing with her speech and
language and overall social interaction. I would be lost without these amazing people and I truly feel they have contributed massively to my daughter achieving some of those goals. Thank you for everything you do for my daughter and the care and love you've shown her. We will definitely miss you guys when she goes off to school in September.

IntoPlay Day Nursery has been brilliant since we started taking our son over four years ago and now with our daughter. Communication is great and both my children flourished while being in their care. Staff are really accommodating and they make annual celebrations, such as Christmas, immersive and
enjoyable for the children.

Our daughter has been at IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood since June 2022. She has truly blossomed from day one. We are constantly amazed at the care and detail put into our very regular updates/observations given to us through the app. Our daughter's vocabulary has soared in the past few months, as
well as her courage, and her interaction with other children younger and older. She is blossoming into a caring, considerate and outgoing young girl and we are so thankful to IntoPlay for their huge role in this.
Her meals are balanced and she enjoys the variety of food she is offered throughout the day.
Her activities intrigue her and she enjoys telling us all about them at the end of the day, feeling very proud of her accomplishments and I feel this is because of the great support she receives when learning.
We are always so thankful that she is taken care of so lovingly every day whilst we are at work. I would not have her anywhere else. Words truly cannot describe how happy we are with where she is.

I have two little boys at IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood. One in Pre-School and one in babies. From the moment I stepped into the nursery to look around I felt completely comfortable with having the staff there look after my children. They were all welcoming and settles went really well. My two boys
love going to nursery and they both love their key workers. However, they love all the other staff too. Always great handovers at the end of the day and everyone is happy to chat about any concerns that you may have about your children! I love the app and it means I can keep track of what they have been doing and eating throughout the day.
I'd highly recommend IntoPlay Barnwood.

Staff are all great here. Was very reluctant in sending my child to any nursery due to being a first-time parent but the staff really helped with this transition and cannot be any more grateful and, more importantly, my child enjoys it.

Starting from when he was a baby, one member of staff was my son's favourite, when he started to speak he was always saying her name. Then he grew up in 2-3, now he is in pre-school, the staff are very loving to him, thoughtful, always keeping him safe and helping him with his development.
If you want
your child to attend the best nursery in Gloucester this is the one, by far the most amazing people you will ever meet in this nursery, no doubt about it.
Whenever I leave my son at this nursery for a full day I know he will be taken care of, loved and will teach him new things on how to spark creativity in him. When I take him home every single day he learns something new, it's like I don't even recognise him (positive side of it) they even have an app where you can see everything that is going on in real-time from food to signing in and out injuries. I cannot thank you all enough at IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood for the amazing work you do!

IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood is such a great nursery, staff are amazing with the children, the setting is great and my daughter is so happy here. We have even increased her days as she enjoys it so much. They always put information on the app allowing parents to see individual progress and also to
see, as a room, what they have been up to. I have recently recommended this nursery to friends and their children have joined too.

My daughter has been at IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood for nine months now, starting at just 7 months old. I could not recommend them more, in fact, I do recommend them to everyone.
My daughter has progressed exceptionally, the nursery has helped her physical development as she has been delayed (and
the staff are probably as invested in her progression now as I am) and her speech and social skills are incredible, having developed so much during her time there.
My daughter comes home clean and happy, she is fed well and we are updated daily on how she's been and what she's been up to with pictures and conversations with the staff.
I think my daughter genuinely sees the nursery staff in her room as a real comfort, she reaches out to them in the morning ready to spend her day with them and sometimes clings to them when I go to pick her up.
I love that I don't have to worry as she loves it so much and we love the staff and their treatment of my daughter.
This nursery has made her thrive.

My daughter started IntoPlay Day Nursery @ Barnwood when she was 9 months old and she is now 3 years and 3 months. This entire time we have been so happy with her experiences here.
Communication is excellent. Staff are friendly and approachable. Safeguarding seems thorough and robust. All accidents
are well recorded and logged. Educational activities are varied and interesting. Themes are engaging. They have lots of extra exciting days for the children - penguin day, charity parties, pirate day, the list goes on. Different religious events (Christmas/Diwali etc.) are celebrated well.
I have been a primary school teacher for over ten years and couldn't provide her with the experiences she gets here at home. All the hard work is appreciated.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A safe and fantastic place for children to develop and grow in confidence. All staff members are friendly and supportive. Children are their priority and this can be seen through their day to day running of the nursery. My son attended this nursery a few years back and now my daughter attends this lovely
setting. Cannot recommend IntoPlay Barnwood enough.

Amazing nursery. My daughter really loves it, hope my 2nd daughter can go there from next year.
Absolutely helpful members. They always update me, on how was my daughter's day. They are so kind, smiley.


I would like to see more pictures if it's possible, as it is always so good to see pictures

of what they have done and what's happened.
Also good to discuss and show these to my daughter at home.

My son loves going to nursery! The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. I love the effort that is put into making events of the year special. When my son first started they had a little gift bag for me to help me through his first day there; a lovely idea!
