My son had been at Abbeydale Cottage Nursery since December 2015 and is about to leave to go to school. He attends full time from 7am till 4pm 5 days a week. The staff are amazing, not once have I felt like I don't know what my child has eaten or done. They take them on fabulous trips from playing on
the field to walks to the shops and train rides to the peaks. I had no idea how choosing the right nursery was so important till now and I definitely feel like I chose the right one. I know we are going to miss the nursery for sure.

I was nervous about sending my daughter to the nursery last year as she has a rare condition that results in swallowing difficulties making mealtimes hard. Abbeydale Cottage Nursery has been fantastic, taking the time to understand her condition and giving her support with eating. I thought I'd only
ever trust my parents and husband to look after my daughter, but it is absolutely fantastic and a thorough relief to have Abbeydale Cottage Nursery looking after her too!


My little one is settled and enjoys Abbeydale Cottage Nursery. I always get a "yay!" when I say we're going. She loves the outdoor play area and the soft play is a massive bonus, which she loves! I'm always impressed with how clean and well kept the nursery looks. The online Tapestry system is great and I enjoy regularly seeing pictures and comments about how she's doing. Finally, although availability can be limited as it is a popular nursery, they always try and fit us in/change things around for us if they can.

Our 17-month-old has been going to Abbeydale Cottage Nursery since 10 months old, he goes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We had a sense of dread at leaving him there to start off with, but with the help of tester hours and days, all our concerns were quashed. He now goes for long days 7-5 and the nursery
are really accommodating of these longer days, giving him breakfast and tea.


Our son really loves it there now and both me and my wife actually look forward to the little time we spend there, dropping him off or picking him up because it's such a lovely atmosphere. There’s always lots of friendly, smiley faces there to greet us and my son always enjoys himself.


We particularly love the Tapestry App the nursery use to give updates on how he's getting on and measure his progress against EYFS standards. The app is really secure so there’s nothing to worry about. They have a great soft play room in which my son is in his element. In general, the nursey looks lovely, the staff are fantastic and we feel more than confident leaving our boy there.

My children have been attending Abbeydale Cottage Nursery since January. The staff are brilliant and each child has a designated member of staff who monitors your child's development.
I have twins and being a working Mother it is incredibly difficult to remember where my children are excelling and
what they need help with, given the online portal I am able to manage my children's development and always remind myself of what they need to spend more time on.


Both of the managing directors are brilliant. One has kids of her own which is always reassuring being a Mum and the other is brilliant with the children - she's so enthusiastic with everything that happens, whether it be Christmas, Easter Hanukkah, or Eid - decorating and team spirit is her forte.


Absolutely love the improvements in my children and highly recommend Abbeydale Cottage Nursery to everyone.

The staff allayed any concerns we had sending our first child into a new environment and the security at the nursery further added to our confidence he would be safe in their hands.
Initial verbal and written feedback requested by the nursery was very detailed and assured us that his individual needs
and preferences would be considered and accommodated.
The nursery is always very clean and organised and has excellent facilities including a soft play area, which is our son’s current favourite space.
Activities are creative and engaging, encouraging the children to flourish both within the nursery and on short excursions when the weather allows.
Communication has been very good; each day feedback is given covering what the child has been doing, their toilet visits and what they have eaten benefitting good daily transitions.

Abbeydale Cottage Nursery is a wonderful place. It's clean, modern, spacious and a very warm and welcoming environment for little ones with its rainbow staircase and wildlife murals in the soft play area. Every room is incredibly well thought out, bright and inviting with a wide range of engaging equipment.
The staff are all friendly, professional and extremely helpful.


My daughter left her previous nursery for Abbeydale Cottage Nursery when she was just one and the transformation was amazing, she came on leaps-and-bounds developmentally and socially, and she continues to do so. She loves nursery, the staff, the excellent quality meals and the wide range of activities that keep her busy and entertained throughout the day.

This provision is extremely good for childcare. Our daughter has been attending for approx one year now, she enjoys her time spent there and looks forward to attending.
The provision is clean and well organised. The staff in the orange room, where my daughter is currently, are extremely experienced
and very welcoming. Nothing is too much to ask and as a mother they make me feel at ease. They provided good age related learning activities for the children working alongside individual targets.
My daughter is transitioning up to the blue room and I am very confident she will gain all the experiences, socially, emotionally and academically.
I would recommend this nursery to friends and family, which I have already have done!

Our 20-month-old has been attending Abbeydale Cottage Nursery since he was 12 months and he has a great time! The staff are friendly and inviting towards the parents and clearly forge good relationships with the kids. Our son walks into nursery at 7:30 without looking back and it's sometimes a challenge
to get him away from some of the toys and activities when we leave, a great relief to see him so happy there.
There are always different activities, useful daily reports on what kind of day your child has had as well as a fantastic app where notifications are posted on your child's progress, milestones they are hitting and generally quite funny goings on of a 20-month-old!
Great nursery, would recommend it highly.

Our 2.5 year old son moved to this nursery in October and has loved it from his very first visit. It is a nurturing, caring, fun and happy place to be.
It is purpose built with great facilities including a great indoor soft play area on 2 levels that our son loves. There is access to the large playing
fields attached to a sports club for extra outdoor fun and games.
All of the staff are welcoming, friendly and very caring. They familiarise themselves with each child and accommodate depending on needs.
I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.

My daughter has attended this nursery since September 2015 and we couldn't be happier. The staff are very friendly and my daughter looks forward to attending. They have even accommodated us when we were let down for childcare on a day when she was not due in. On top of this the facilities are fantastic
and we get online updates on some days which is very reassuring. A fantastic nursery that we highly recommend.

Impressed with standard of nursery, you can tell when a nursery has been purpose built as everything has been built with small children in mind rather then adapted after. Staff were knowledgeable and good range of experience.
Father Christmas coming to their Christmas party was a nice touch which
the kids loved.

I highly recommend Abbeydale Cottage Nursery. My daughter has been going there since it first opened and in that short time she has made lots of friends and has become much more ready for her transition to school. The facilities are amazing and way above any nurseries I have seen before. She has become
much better at socialising (she was quite shy before) and eats all of her food such as salad, soup which we struggled with at home. It is good that we get a daily reports and also receive emails of her progress and see what she has been learning and activities she has enjoyed. She is always coming home with paintings and has sometimes even baked and been on trips out. All of the staff are lovely and very friendly she feels totally at home there and she will be devastated when she leaves for school!

My daughter attends this Nursery and I have nothing but good comments to say about. It's purpose built and every aspect of the building has clearly been thought out with children in mind. They have highly qualified, mature and friendly staff and long opening hours (7am-7pm) which is great for us as
we have to commute and need the early start.
No other Nurseries compared, and to top it off the prices are similar to all others in the area, with food and nappies included.
The indoor and outdoor play areas are also fantastic my daughter doesn't ever want to come home!

Our child loves this nursery and so do we. The play facilities are amazing and the staff are great, paying real attention to development in the pre-school room. We just wish this nursery had been open when we first moved to the area.

My son attends this nursery and I'm so glad we chose Abbeydale Cottage, it is one of the few nurseries in Sheffield to open 7am-7pm. He has settled in well, thanks to the friendly, caring and well-qualified staff. He always comes home happy and his day is filled with fun activities. The nursery has
fantastic facilities and is exceptionally kitted out and clean.
