My little boy has been with Little Oaks for 4 years since he was 14 months old, experiencing all 3 rooms/stages of the nursery and there are no words really to describe how much this setting has meant to both my boy and me as a parent. The day he left I was broken and in floods of tears.
Choosing a
nursery for our little ones is hard, you search and search, read endless reviews in the hope of finding the right one to look after your baby in your place. This is definitely the place to do that and the team at Little Oaks, no matter the job title, from bank staff to directors all provide a warm welcome, make the children feel safe and secure as well as make each day as fun as possible, while still setting and maintaining an education aspect of their day to day lives. My little boy's special needs requirements developed within their care over the years and they too, along with myself learnt a way how to approach this, adapt and we supported each other in more ways than one. They will be missed.

Little Oaks is an amazing nursery. Both my children have attended and both been really happy. The staff simply care. They care about your children and your concerns as a parent. It is always a daunting experience choosing a nursery but I can honestly say it is a great nursery and has been part of our
everyday lives for the last 5 years. If reading this whilst looking for a nursery, please go look for yourself and I am sure you will find friendly, helpful staff and plenty of happy children.

Little Oaks is the best nursery in town. It really feels like family, the staff are so kind and caring, and this is not just a job for them. I had experience with another nursery chain, but you cannot even compare the care provided by them to the amazing, very high standard of Little Oaks. Don’t hesitate
to enrol your child, and if they have no space, make sure to get on the waiting list, it’s worth it!

Little Oaks is a lovely family-run nursery which provides an amazing start for children. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Both my son and daughter attended this nursery and both left very happy and confident. All the staff are warm and caring and went above and beyond for our children. Daily
communication is excellent and there are plenty of age-appropriate creative activities which I would never have thought of at home. Thank you so much Little Oaks for ensuring our children felt so loved and welcome!

Both my son and daughter attended Little Oaks and both loved it. I can not recommend this nursery enough. The people, atmosphere, care, and communication have been of the highest quality, and I feel they would go out of their way to ensure my children were happy. My son is a shy child who finds it hard
in some social situations, but they were so understanding and brought him out of his shell.
If you're looking for a nursery, you really need to look no further than Little Oaks.

My child has been at Little Oaks for the past four years. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. They truly recognise each child's strengths and challenges and support them on an individual basis. They shower the children with love and continually come up with new and innovative ways to promote inclusion
and diversity. If I ever had another child, I would not hesitate to send them there. 10/10

Little Oaks Children's Nursery was a wonderful start to our child from babies to toddlers and a couple of weeks of preschool. Our son's development is to the credit of the team at Little Oaks, from management to each member of staff. Our son would have remained at Little Oaks up till school age and
he only moved on due to relocation.
Each member of staff in all age groups gave our boy the best care and became our son's friend, who he was always very fond of. He was very comfortable and always a very happy boy with a big smile on his face at the end of each day.
The management team, not only were they very involved with our child's development, the attention and communication to us as parents was amazing and all concerns with our child was always dealt with with the highest importance. The management team always made us feel our child was in the safest hands.
I would highly recommend Little Oaks to any parent!

Highly recommend. I have had two children go through the nursery spanning six years. The staff are excellent and very caring. The nursery has great facilities and resources, and my girls were extremely happy there. Lots of crafts, music and activity. They do trips out for the children regularly and
day trips too. Lovely nursery.

During the time our daughter was at this Little Oaks, we thought we were reasonably happy with the setting. It was only when we came to move her to a different mainstream setting (for financial reasons) that we realised Little Oaks could have been better. Our child has learning disabilities. She was
clearly cared for at Little Oaks and she always seemed happy but in hindsight, we don't feel she was given the right level of support. Our daughter has developed so much more in a short space of time since attending a new setting. She now receives personalised, focused support each day. I am now kept very well informed on her progress and I'm provided with evidence of what the new setting are working on with her and how they are spending her funding. We feel that Little Oaks is a good nursery for a typical child but from our experience, Little Oaks could do more for children with special educational needs.

Reply from Amanda Horn, Director at Little Oaks Children's Nursery

Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear your child is thriving. We apologise for the way you feel, it has been some time since you left but we remember your children fondly. Little Oaks Nursery, has truly been the most wonderful start to our son's early years education. He has grown from a timid lockdown baby, to a confident, articulate and happy toddler and we are so grateful to the staff at Little Oaks, for the part they've played in this! The baby room staff are exceptionally
warm and nurturing, making it so much easier to leave your little one for the first time and the toddler room staff helped bring out a playful and curious side of our son that was so amazing to see develop. In his time at Little Oaks, he was supported with so many aspects of his development (speech and language, motor skills, toilet training!), but most importantly he came out at every pickup, beaming from ear to ear. The management team made every interaction straightforward and no ask seemed too great, in terms of our child's well-being and happiness. The professionalism of the entire team is without fault. We only wish we could have brought everyone with us as we relocated. Thank you.

Little Oaks is a truly wonderful nursery. The staff are brilliant and took wonderful care of our daughter throughout her year there. They communicate with you regularly and no request is ever too much. The space is wonderful and our daughter was so happy the entire time she was there. Could not recommend

Little Oaks has provided outstanding childcare for our daughter from the ages of 9 months - 4.5 years.
They have provided a safe, nurturing and fun environment that has seen her thrive and help her develop into a confident, inquisitive child who is now ready to start her new journey at big school.
The
staff at Little Oaks are all so lovely. They are warm, caring, empathetic and work so hard to provide the very best for the children in their care. I can't thank them enough.
The environment is well thought out and is perfect for little creative minds.
The extra curricular activities Little Oaks organise such as forest school have been a huge hit with our daughter, and the days out to Painshill and Bocketts Farm have been thoroughly enjoyed.
I can't fault Little Oaks, we feel very lucky to have both our daughters attend there.

Both our children attended Little Oaks and absolutely thrived whilst there. We are leaving the nursery due to a house move and are very sorry to go! Both our children loved going each day and had the best time. The staff are excellent and we are in awe of their endless enthusiasm and creative ways in
which they interact and play with the children. Such a safe and nurturing environment where each child is treated as an individual and feels valued. The communication with parents is brilliant and you always feel well informed. When photos are sent to you of your children having fun, the peace of mind is priceless. We would not hesitate to recommend Little Oaks to any parent and cannot thank the team there enough for the top-quality care they have provided!

My daughter has been going to Little Oaks since she was seven months old. She has loved every day and all the staff in the baby room are so lovely and are always attentive. Communication with parents are really good and management makes sure to always keep us updated with any information. I get updates
on the app about how she’s been and what she’s been up to. They even take the babies out for trips to see the ducks - they love it! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending all of our friends to bring their children here. Thank you Little Oaks for making my daughter feel so loved and welcome here!

We couldn't have chosen a better nursery for my son. He joined when he was 10 months old.
The staff is amazing and the management is also excellent, with great communication with parents.
He loves going to this nursery and I feel he is in a safe place and well taken care of.
They regularly update
you on your child's progress and you receive photos during the week.
You also have the choice to sign up to weekly classes held at the nursery like Jo jingles, sports and forest school.
The little local trips are great and they get healthy and varied meals which my child always eat!

We can't recommend it highly enough!

My Great Grandson is my world so when we chose Little Oaks Children's Nursery it was not before visiting just about every nursery in the area. He has been at Little Oaks Children's Nursery since he was two and will move to a school this September. Like all parents, my Granddaughter had concerns about
sending him to a nursery, especially as he was and still is very much a Mummy’s boy. From that very first day I have nothing but praise. Every member of staff are committed to making the nursery a happy and welcoming place. Having to deal with Covid-19 has been a test for every business. Little Oaks Children's Nursery put in place every possible safety measure to reassure parents and children that the nursery would still be a welcoming place to be. The level of communication during this time has been exemplary, keeping parents informed of any children sent home with suspected symptoms along with any outcomes. So impressed with this nursery, my Great Granddaughter starts this September.

Our older daughter started at Little Oaks Children's Nursery very shortly after they opened in 2015 and had a wonderful experience. Even though we had moved further away when our second daughter arrived, there was never a question that we would send her there. She absolutely loves Little Oaks Children's
Nursery and so do we. The staff in each of the rooms are lovely and really focused on the children's well-being and development. The office staff and the owners are great too, always very helpful and supportive. I can't recommend Little Oaks Children's Nursery highly enough!

My son has been at the nursery since he was 9-months-old and he absolutely loves it there. It's difficult to trust someone to look after our children and at Little Oaks you have an immediate feeling of reassurance that your child's wellbeing is their priority. The staff are very friendly and have a
genuine care for all children. We have felt welcome from day one of joining. The nursery provides lots of fun for children with different activities indoors and outdoors which allows children to learn and develop different skills.
Highly recommended!!!

My son and daughter have both attended Little Oaks (son now at school) and been very happy here. They have been well supported in the baby room to transition to nursery life, feeling safe and cared for. As they have progressed through the rooms, they have both grown in confidence and developed lovely
friendships. The facilities have offered them fun and varied learning through play and a range of great extracurricular activities! The nursery manager (a mum of 3) is incredibly supportive, understanding and knowledgable and all of the staff provide a very caring environment.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.208)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.208) out of 10 for Little Oaks Children's Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.926 for Little Oaks Children's Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (88 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.926

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.282 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Oaks Children's Nursery is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 83 number of registered child places is 16.6. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.6 = 0.482

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
