Little Learners Childcare is a 26 place day nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years, located within the grounds of St. Cuthbert’s Primary School and was judged as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted 2016.

Ideally located in the town centre close to the metro, bus routes and the local fish quay. Also accessible to local amenities such as Northumberland park and the coast.

The owners of the nursery have extensive experience of working in early years for a substantial amount of years and are “hands on” in the nursery.

Little Learners Childcare has exceptionally high standards both with practice and the environment to ensure children have access to a wide range of stimulating, exciting and challenging experiences and opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

The nursery has a homely feel, and is often quoted as the “extended family” by many parents. Children have access to fantastic outdoor environments including a nursery garden, Eco garden and the school playground. Where children’s physical development is supported as well as having opportunities such as planting, growing, digging and many sensory experiences.

The nursery is bright with a lot of natural light and natural resources that are replenished whenever required. The nursery is immaculately cleaned ensuring the resources and building is maintained to a high standard. All staff are, without doubt, the companies most important asset and are highly trained.

Their own individual experiences and skills are fully utilised to enhance the experiences for all children. All of the staff are fully qualified and DBS checked. All staff are qualified in first aid and are equipped to put this into practice.

I'm blown away by how much my little one has settled and grown since starting at Little Learners and in such a short time. The staff are so accommodating, not only for the child but for parents as well. I would/have been recommending Little Learners to other parents.

My daughter absolutely loves going here.
The staff are incredible always happy and smiling. My daughter was very nervous about going but when she is here she always comes out happy smiling and relaxed.
She now goes in without crying so one happy mammy.
The ladies who work here are a credit to
the nursery.

Our daughter really struggled to settle at her old nursery setting, so it was such a relief to find Little Learners and to see her settle and come out of her shell. The staff truly cared for our daughter and really focused on her needs. They also were great about incorporating what was going on in our
family life with activities and conversations at nursery too. For example, I went back to work and my daughter came home with a book about mummies going to work. We got guinea pigs and she came home with foraged flowers for them. The staff always went above and beyond. The nursery itself is small, but I feel this meant more care and attention is able to be provided to the children. Kids are not at risk of being overlooked. I highly recommend this lovely little nursery. We are certainly glad our daughter was able to attend and to have been taught by such wonderful, kind staff.

My son has loved his time at Little Learners. The staff all work really hard and they should be commended for their work ethic, patience, and understanding. He went from a shy little boy to an outgoing young man, and the communication from his carers was excellent. They nurtured his own interests so
well and also helped him discover lots of new things to learn and talk about. They were also great at keeping his passion for books going. He was excited every day he got to go, and we also love the sense of community we feel having the nursery so close to home, and now so close to his new Primary School. It takes a village to raise a child, and I can't thank Little Learners enough for helping us create that for our son.

Our son loves going to Little Learners, he asks every week when he can go back. The staff is really great: friendly, caring and gives updates on little one's learning journey at every pick-up. I particularly like that learning and activities are child-led and they seem to do a lot of reading, playing
outside and crafting or painting. There are also nice seasonal activities going on. Can highly recommend it!

Highly recommend this nursery! My son has been attending Little Learners N.E since Sept 2022 and he absolutely loves it. He attends three days a week and the staff are amazing, so friendly helpful and supportive and create such a lovely caring, fun environment for the kids.

So impressed at how well the nursery has supported and brought on our little girl. She only attends two mornings a week but in that time her speech and communication skills have improved dramatically. She's socialising and learning new skills weekly! My child goes to Little Learners and has been going there for a while now. The staff have been really helpful when my child first started. The staff really helped my child to settle in and were really supportive. They are also really kind, friendly and very helpful, and are very supportive to both parent
and child and will talk to you if you need advice and someone to talk to about your child. I'm so happy I sent my child to Little Learners, and can't wait to continue to watch my child's journey in the years she is at Little Learners, and watch her grow through her milestones.

I would recommend Little Learners to everyone. My eldest daughter adored going and now my youngest goes and loves it too. The staff are so lovely and caring and have created an environment that is fun and welcoming. I always feel like they go above and beyond with everything they do. I know my girls
will be safe and cared for as well as being given many opportunities to grow and develop, while having tons of fun.

My little girl attends Little Learners, I can’t recommend them highly enough. The team are kind and caring and provide the best setting for the children in their care. My daughter has come on wonderfully since attending this nursery and absolutely loves coming.

Absolutely amazing nursery. My little boy loved attending nursery and couldn't wait to go back after the weekends. The staff are lovely and are always extremely helpful. The staff form a special bond with the children which makes leaving your children there that extra bit easier. I really couldn't recommend

Excellent nursery provision. My daughter loved attending here and now my son currently attends and loves it. Little Learners is an amazing nursery. My daughter started when she was 6 months old and settled in straight away. The staff at Little Learners are friendly, approachable, and caring. I can't fault this nursery. My son loves coming and talks about staff and children with the biggest smile on his face. Staff go above and beyond to accommodate especially during difficulties of covid. They care for my son as if he was their own and he feels valued and safe when he is there. My favourite
aspect is that they are always using their outdoor space regardless of the weather which my son really gets a lot out of.
