Little Learners Childcare is a 26 place day nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years, located within the grounds of St. Cuthbert’s Primary School and was judged as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted 2016.

Ideally located in the town centre close to the metro, bus routes and the local fish quay. Also accessible to local amenities such as Northumberland park and the coast.

The owners of the nursery have extensive experience of working in early years for a substantial amount of years and are “hands on” in the nursery.

Little Learners Childcare has exceptionally high standards both with practice and the environment to ensure children have access to a wide range of stimulating, exciting and challenging experiences and opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

The nursery has a homely feel, and is often quoted as the “extended family” by many parents. Children have access to fantastic outdoor environments including a nursery garden, Eco garden and the school playground. Where children’s physical development is supported as well as having opportunities such as planting, growing, digging and many sensory experiences.

The nursery is bright with a lot of natural light and natural resources that are replenished whenever required. The nursery is immaculately cleaned ensuring the resources and building is maintained to a high standard. All staff are, without doubt, the companies most important asset and are highly trained.

Their own individual experiences and skills are fully utilised to enhance the experiences for all children. All of the staff are fully qualified and DBS checked. All staff are qualified in first aid and are equipped to put this into practice.

Little Learners is fantastic. Staff are amazing, extremely helpful and caring. The nursery is always clean and tidy. My son loves going, they always have plenty of activities for him to play/learn with. Also, provide a fab lunch and snack. We will be sad to leave next year.

After a week off (half-term) my child was very reluctant to return to nursery. The nursery staff were so encouraging and welcoming that he had no problem getting back into his normal routine. He is excited about attending nursery in the mornings and it's sometimes hard to get him to leave (as he's having
so much fun.)

Brilliant staff. My little boy loves his visits and is always so happy to go into the nursery. All of the staff are very helpful and understanding. I am very confident in leaving my child at Little Learners Childcare knowing he is safe and looked after. Excellent nursery, highly recommended.

Little Learners Childcare has been fantastic for our daughter. It is small and personal, and the staff ensures we are always informed of our daughter's progress and daily development. For us, we wanted a nursery that was nurturing and comforting for our young child, where we know she would be cuddled
if upset, a home away from home. We definitely feel we get that with the staff who look after our daughter.

We love Little Learners Childcare. Two out of three of my children have attended and my youngest still attends and is always very happy to run into nursery. The staff are amazing, very friendly and approachable. At pick-up times the staff are very informative and let me know how my little one has been.
They do some amazing activities, the messier the better at nursery. My little one loves exploring, outdoor play and playing with the dolls, and the nursery cater to her needs.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Our daughter has such a smile on her face when we get to the gate and is always greeted by all of the staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble and each individual child's needs are catered for. Excellent communication and we are always kept up to date on details. Brilliant
feedback about our daughters day. She absolutely loves this nursery.

Great nursery and staff, very friendly and approachable. My daughter loves going to nursery, great learning opportunities and a home from home feel when going into the nursery. I feel at ease leaving my daughter, knowing she is going to be giving all the care and comfort she needs.

I have worked in early years for 20 years, working in a variety of roles in nurseries, as a nanny and overseas. I have worked at Little Learners Childcare for over 5 years working alongside the nursery manager and staff team across both nurseries. I hold a BA Hons degree in Education and Curriculum Studies and I have achieved many certificates when attending training such as 1st aid, Child protection, SEN, Behaviour management and many more.

I have been Nursery manager since Little Learners Childcare opened and I oversee both nurseries. Early years has always been my passion. I have worked in nurseries all of my childcare career and gained a wide range of experience in my different job roles. I have worked with children across all age groups. I thoroughly enjoy the support and guidance I can offer families. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies and have attended a vast amount of training over the years including Child protection, 1st aid, Special educational needs, Behaviour management and many more which I really enjoy to enhance my knowledge.
