Thank you so much for your kind words. We have so enjoyed looking after your son and supporting his development. He is a delightful, wonderfully polite and charming little chap, who has made some strong friendships which will follow him into school. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support over the last couple of years.

I have found the staff at the nursery both friendly and attentive and it is clear that they really spend time getting to know not just my son but the other children as well. As a parent its great to know that the necessary observations are being carried out and habits are being identified. The management team are also keen that the nursery keeps on improving for the better and regularly enlists the support of the parents to provide feedback for them to build upon.
I really feel as though the nursery fosters a great culture for children to learn as a working Mother it's great to know that my son is happy there and is being properly cared for.
Thank you Monkey Puzzle, Hartley Wintney

The staff are kind and compassionate, which for me is the most important factor than hours of paperwork that has to be done these days in nurseries. It is a newer nursery which might worry some, but with that is freshness, passion, modern faculties and an eagerness to always improve the nursery. I know my son gets lots Of cuddles, care kindness and this is the most important thing while I am at work.
All in all, we really love it !

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.277) out of 10 for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Hartley Wintney is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.906 for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Hartley Wintney is calculated as follows: ( (87 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.906
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 4.371 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Hartley Wintney is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 number of registered child places is 14. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 14 = 0.571
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Owner
Joined: 2016
Nursery Owner and Designated Safeguard Lead - Level 3.
Since volunteering at a local nursery helping children for whom English was not their first language, I have had a strong desire to work with children. After the birth of my eldest son Chester, I realised I really did not want to return to the daily grind of commuting to London, not really knowing who was looking after him, and decided the only way forward was to start a nursery business that offers the opportunity to be actively involved in his day to daycare, and an exciting change of career whilst using my existing skills gained throughout my employment.
I hold an LLB (Hons) Law degree and PGDip in Legal Practice and have worked in various roles in law, finance and compliance.
As a mum, I will ensure that the nursery runs to the highest of standards so that all children benefit from the same level of care as I would expect for my own. I want my nursery to feel like a second home to the children (it is my second home too, after all!), where they feel comfortable, safe and secure, whilst benefiting from a stimulating learning environment.

As Cherry’s business partner and co-owner of Monkey Puzzle Hartley Wintney, my role is that of Director of Finance, preparing the monthly payroll and maintain the business accounts. When I am called upon I will roll up my sleeves and do the cleaning, the cooking, provide lunch cover support, decorate, and I have been known to do some gardening.
I have 3 beautiful and talented daughters and four terrific grandchildren, not to mention two delightful sons-in-law, all of whom I am extremely proud.
Some of the job roles I have held during my working life include working as a nanny/housekeeper in Canada to 3 lovely children, who are now grown up with families of their own; as a Systems Analyst for the MoD and as a teacher of maths and IT in a grammar school.
I really enjoy watching the children learn and grow within our lovely nursery, and enjoy seeing the children all engaged in a multitude of fun and exciting activities.

In 2006 I took a break from nursery life to be a nanny for a lovely family whom I am still in touch with. We relocated to Devon and I became Manager of a nursery before having my own children in 2011 and 2013. Since then, I have been raising our wonderful children and we moved back to this area in 2017 and have been lucky enough to find and work within this lovely nursery.

In January 2018 I emigrated to the UK from South Africa, where I started this amazing job at Monkey Puzzle Hartley Wintney. My choice of career was due to the arrival of my beautiful baby sister, who is 13 years younger than me.
Watching her grow, and teaching her new things, made my heart happy and I knew that teaching was the career for me. I now have my Level 3 in Childcare and Development as well as a Bachelors Degree in Education with the University of South Africa.
