Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. We are so pleased to hear that your daughter is enjoying nursery. It is important to have the feedback on how we work in partnership with parents and how effective we are with effective communication. We are pleased to hear that the daily emails and parents evening was useful. We are also looking at some social events so parents can meet up and get to know other parents and these will be in the form of quiz nights, family craft days, local fair events and our family fun day.
If you would also like to be involved or have suggestions on how we can improve any of our services we would love to hear from you.

The staff are fantastic in their approach and the progress my daughter has made in the time she has been at the nursery through their help and encouragement
The outside facilities are brilliant with so many activities and areas for the children to play in and explore.
I feel very fortunate that I chose St Johns Nursery for my daughter and will definitely be sending my second child there when she is old enough!

The sessions worked really well for my family. The breakfast and tea clubs and the flexible drop off times worked well with my job and getting my elder child to school. The setting is great, with a massive outside space that my daughter loved, especially the mud kitchen and the sand pit!
I would have no problem recommending the nursery to anyone who asked. It is a truly great place for children to flourish!

WOW Lisa, what a lovely review. We loved having your daughter here and were glad that we could access funds to get extra support in to help with her needs. We are delighted that you felt it was a safe and trusting environment to come and chat with us regarding your own concerns and our open door policy works.
I noticed you did not know about the value for money, and for those reading our feedback this is because we offer FEET (Free Early Education for two-year-olds) funding, (15 hour voucher funding for children the term after they turn 3 and now we accept the Plus 15 Hours, allowing families to access the 30 hour funding). I am glad to see that with the FEET funding and voucher funding, we were flexible enough to meet you and your daughter's needs. Thank you again, Lisa for taking the time to review our nursery and we wish your daughter every success in her next step in education. Kind regards

Thank you for your lovely review, Alice. We are so delighted to hear that you are pleased with the services that we offer here at St John's Nursery. We pride ourselves on creating that homely environment and building on partnerships with our families that come here and as you know we try our best to create a rich learning environment where the children can explore and learn through play. Approximately 80% of nursery time is outside play where the children can experience the environment and climates around them (And it is ok to dig holes in our garden to save your garden). Thank you for choosing our nursery and we are pleased to hear that you plan to bring your youngest son here too. Kind regards.

The nursery has a lovely happy atmosphere, I felt this right from the first time I was showed around. The nursery has theme weeks and different activities which help keep things fun for the children and greatly aids in their development. My son loved the farm visit last summer! I am really pleased we chose this nursery and I frequently recommend it to friends.
Reply from Linda Innes, Manager at St John's Nursery - Redstone Lodge
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. We are so pleased to hear that your son is keen to come into nursery. The farm trip is always a great day out and the children love it, so much so we have trouble getting them off the tractors at the end of the day to go home! It is always good to know from parents about how our partnerships with yourselves are developing or if they are working, so it pleases me to see that you feel happy to speak with all the staff and that you and your son have a good relationship with his key person too.
Thank you again for your review, it is important to us to receive feedback.

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.789) out of 10 for St John's Nursery - Redstone Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.889 for St John's Nursery - Redstone Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (97 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.889
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St John's Nursery - Redstone Lodge is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
