Beech Tree Childcare provides flexible day care for children aged from birth up to 5 years old.

Set in the grounds of Worthing Rugby Club, Angmering, children have 23 acres of the club’s land to explore and play in, as well as the nursery’s own gardens. The team believes that play underpins how children learn and develop, and that children learn best through practical, hands-on experiences and interactions with their environment. The children spend most of their time outside with play leaders, building dens, climbing trees and other activities that develop their practical and social skills, as well as their imaginations.

My son was only at Beech Tree for a few months as we relocated to a different area of the country, however, I was so thrilled with the care he received whilst there. He settled into the baby room so quickly and the staff were amazing. I was given really detailed handovers at the end of each day letting
me know what they'd done that day, how he'd slept, what he'd eaten etc. I loved the fact that play was child-led and really creative and that there was lots of time outside in the garden too, even for younger children.
The staff were so accommodating and really happy to follow our nap routine, and my son slept/ate really well when he was there. My little boy was happy to be dropped off at nursery, and came home at the end of the day happy and tired after a fun-filled day! I'm so pleased I chose this nursery, and was absolutely gutted we had to leave. A huge thank you to all the staff for looking after my son so brilliantly!

The staff are always welcoming, make time to stop and let you know how your little person got on that day, what they had for lunch and anything else they may have got up to.
Can't fault them at all, they always have a smile on their face, even when rushed off their feet.
I made the right choice
bringing my child here, he has come on leaps and bounds since starting with this settling and he nor I could be happier. He's made some wonderful friends and loves the staff.
Thank you to you all for making my child's early education so wonderful. You're all superstars.

Our son has been at the nursery for two months and we couldn't be happier. The staff are all lovely, always friendly and genuinely care. We have found the communication to be excellent and most importantly our son is happy. He settled really quickly and is excited to go to nursery in the morning. His
speech has improved greatly in the last two months as have his social skills. We would highly recommend.

Beech Tree Childcare is amazing. The communication from the team about what my child has been up to is clear, and 'Im always given tips on how to continue their learning at home. My child has become more confident, all thanks to this brilliant setting.

Such a fantastically nurturing, creative and fun nursery. My son has been going part-time for 18 months since he was a little over 2 years old, and he absolutely loves it. The staff are all so welcoming and encouraging to him, he's really blossomed and as a late talker his speech has come on brilliantly
since he's been there. They set the rooms up each day in the most incredible, inspiring way, encouraging open end creative play, rather than just rooms full of plastic toys. Their outside space is modest but more than sufficient, plus they have access to other grounds and often go out on hour-long (plus!) walks and adventures. If there are any drop-off wobbles the staff are all brilliant about working with you/your child to encourage them in, and as far as I can see feelings are welcomed and treated with respect. The food is excellent and I only wish my son ate as he does at nursery when at home! I won't hesitate to send my daughter here too when she's older.

The location of the setting is amazing. I don't think a day has gone by where my son hasn't told me about how he and his friends played rugby on the fields or found insects in the wooded areas. Having come from another setting with limited space and where the attitude of the staff was very different.
Beech Tree Childcare is an enormous breath of fresh air.
Not only that but they have made me feel welcome as well. When my son was in other settings, staff were always uneasy with me as a stay-at-home dad, but at Beech Tree, the attitudes are completely different. They hold open mornings, I've had coffee on more than one occasion and the atmosphere is so much more inviting for children and parents.

Fantastic nursery for my little one. She has never been unhappy or reluctant to go through the door each day which speaks volumes to me as a mum. Always so happy to tell me about her day at pick up too! Great team and communication all-round.

Great nursery. Really helped my boy develop his social and communication skills. My kids love to go there and come back very tired from all the activities they have been doing throughout the day, for example, outdoor walks exploring nature.

My son has been in attendance here for nearly 2 years now, his development has come on leaps and bounds since we put him into Beech Tree Childcare. Before, he attended a childminder with one or two other older children, but we felt he needed to be around more children his own age, and also with different
educators. He is thriving at Beech Tree Childcare and asks most days if he is going to nursery today, his reply always being overly excited when I tell him it's time for nursery! Have had some behavioral issues since the birth of his new sibling but Beech Tree Childcare have kept me updated on this and it's been a great help for us to continue reinforcing the same disciplines and reminders at home. We've never had any issues with Beech Tree Childcare and my son has accumulated so many great friendships, children and staff alike. My only niggle would be that I wished I saw more pictures of him, understandably faces removed, as I'd love to see him in action at nursery! Very happy with this nursery and highly recommended.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The nursery itself is in a lovely setting and the staff promote the children being outside, often taking them on walks, which our son loves as he is most happy outside! They have a great garden area as well on site. Indoors there is a variety of fun things
for him to do, including quieter areas with books where our son can take time out if he wants.
As shift workers, we needed a nursery that would be flexible and not require set days a week, which Beech Tree Childcare are. Thoroughly recommend them.

Our little one has been attending nursery since May 22 and she loves it. The staff are friendly and really supportive, and our little one knows who their key person is. She has grown in confidence and character since attending Beech Tree Childcare and as parents, we have been happy with the variety
of experiences our little one gets and the communication level we receive from the nursery.

Great childcare providers. We have our two daughters attending the nursery, and they both love it there. Our eldest has additional needs, and they are brilliant with her. She really thrives there and has made big progress in her development. She is starting to communicate with us through the Makaton
and pictures, and it's thanks to all the nursey staff who use it with her every day. They have great knowledge and skills. Couldn't recommend enough.

My 2 sons go to Beech Tree Childcare and they love it there. The whole place feels like a family and they do lots of fun different activities that are well thought out.
A big plus for our family was how they are so flexible with us in times and last-minute changes. They are also very inclusive and
encourage children to accept differences between them. Would recommend it to anyone.

A lovely child care setting, with a supportive environment for both parents and children.
From a shy nervous unsettled little girl to one who skips in with a big smile on her face. Beech Tree has definitely had a positive effect on our daughter.
A nicely set up Nursery that also makes good use of
the lovely big space around them.
Beech Tree organises events and Regular reviews out of Nursery hours, which makes it much easier to be able to get involved and take part.
They are already starting to get the children ready for school which has really noticed in our daughter, it makes it far less of a worry when she moves on. I know she will miss everyone when she starts school in September.

Dec 2021 has seen our daughter complete her first full year, albeit, broken up by a certain pandemic at the start of the year, she has really been stimulated and enjoyed her time. (Okay she is not even two yet, but the humming/singing on the way there and back justifies it in my head!) The environment
and learning experience is one that we could only have dreamed of, a team that treats you as if you are the only punter they are dealing with, a rare skill in these times. It’s a real pleasure (and a wonderful respite!!!) to leave our little girl with the Beechtree team and her future looks very bright and chirpy!!!!
Highly recommended

Fantastic nursery, they are very supportive towards their families and the local community too. I feel very safe and confident sending my child here. I like the diversity and the ethos of Beech Tree Childcare. There’s always someone to talk to about anything if you need.
My daughter’s development
is incredible, she always surprises me with new things she’s learnt at nursery. She always has a fun time with her friends.

My children started their journey with Beech Tree earlier this year and both thoroughly enjoy their time spent there. It was quite hard for them both in the beginning and we had lots of tears and not wanting to go, probably mostly down to COVID and the lockdowns meant they were just used to being at
home, but the staff were fab at welcoming them in every morning and distracting them so they soon forgot about drop off. Eldest now attends school and the youngest has bloomed since being on his own there.
The staff are FAB and always so accommodating, really pleased to have found them.
The garden/outside space is split for older and younger children and in some respects is limited BUT they do use the surrounding fields and go on walks so the children can run around.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.292)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.292) out of 10 for Beech Tree Childcare Angmering is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The Average Rating of 5.000 for Beech Tree Childcare Angmering is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.292 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beech Tree Childcare Angmering is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 number of registered child places is 12. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.167

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
