A welcoming and enriching nursery in Enfield Hilly

Enfield Hilly Fields Day Nursery and Preschool is based in a Victorian Grade 2 listed building in the Enfield Chase district of the London Borough of Enfield and offers childcare provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years in the Clay Hill and Lavender Hill areas of Enfield in North London.

It is very well situated next to the picturesque Hillyfields Park and is close to Enfield Town Centre along with the surrounding areas. The Nursery has easy access to both the A10 and the M25 as well as local railway stations and operates from 7.30am – 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with their unique Ready for School programme. Fostering an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with their Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancement, helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

The nursery has two gardens which enable a wide range of fun activities to take place outside every day, allowing us to offer a broad outdoor curriculum. As well as having a secure car park, the nursery has a designated buggy storage area to enable parents to drop off and collect the children from the nursery as smoothly as possible.

With all-inclusive fees, which means less to pack on a busy morning, all the meals are prepared onsite with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The nursery was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted for their commitment to high quality childcare and education, with elements of outstanding (September 2016).

As you're aware of the incident of another nursery's closure, as parents it has been so stressful but joining this nursery has been an amazing experience thanks to one staff member's help and amazing positive attitude it turned out to be a blessing! Honestly, she has shown such professionalism and kindness
in the situation and she always is there to help the parents! I honestly can't express my gratitude for this staff member, thank you so much for having the patience and always going above and beyond to make sure all the parents are happy!

Bright Horizons Enfield Hilly Fields Day Nursery and Preschool has been excellent in helping my daughter to settle into nursery. As a first-time mother, I didn't quite know what to expect from this process but felt really encouraged by the staff and key workers. My daughter is learning so much and her

It has been wonderful to see our eldest progress through the nursery from the Baby Room to Pre-School in the last few years, blossoming in her confidence, social skills, interests and learning; and now our youngest is just beginning his journey at Bright Horizons too. The staff are absolutely fantastic,
and always go out of their way to be incredibly supportive and understanding to both our children and to us as parents - they all deserve the highest of praise. The amount of detail in the daily updates is always greatly appreciated, as are the photos and the in-person feedback. Our children love the great variety of activities, the visits by a particular drama, dance and music provider, and the large garden space to play in, and have always developed very strong relationships with the staff, especially their key workers. While not the cheapest option, we have absolute confidence in how Bright Horizons are looking after and developing our children and absolute faith in the wonderful staff.

Fabulous staff who really care about the children. My son’s key worker knows him so well and they will always be more than happy to answer any queries/questions we have. They work together with us during key times, e.g. toilet training, to ensure progression.

Our little boy didn’t settle at a local childminder that our nieces went/go to. We were heartbroken and panicked as there’s very little availability in Enfield. I assume the only reason this Bright Horizons Day Nursery and Preschool had space was due to it being one of the more expensive nurseries in
the area. But I have to say that it’s worth every penny! Management is so warm and welcoming. They were really supportive of me during the settling-in period. All the teachers are lovely people who seem to take a keen interest in all the children and almost give the impression of being a proud third parent. My little boy is so happy there. I love the app that shows you how they’re getting on, what they’ve eaten etc. and the daily activity updates and photos make me miss him just a little less. They say everything happens for a reason. The childminder clearly wasn’t the right match for our boy but I’m so glad that Bright Horizons Neelam and Cara is!

We've had a great experience. Both our children settled really quickly at the nursery and have been consistently happy there. There have been a number of really great members of staff who've gone out of their way to support, encourage and engage the boys in a range of activities and to get them to nap
at an appropriate time! Our eldest has learnt lots in the pre-school room. We've been particularly impressed with the way the staff encouraged his writing and maths.
The main negative has been the high staff turnover (although many that's not unusual in nurseries). However, I've been consistently impressed with newer staff and how quickly they have got to know our boys and formed appropriate bonds. The management team is approachable and has responded well when I've had queries I would certainly recommend the nursery. It's not the cheapest option (by far!) but I completely trust the staff to care well for my two boys!

We are so glad to have chosen Hilly Fields for our daughter, who has attended since she turned one. She's incredibly happy there - she loves her key worker and other room staff, engages in a huge variety of activities, and eats and sleeps really well. We love that a drama group are brought in weekly
for the children to enjoy music and dancing, and the large garden means they get plenty of outdoor time. Nursery management is fantastic, and communication is outstanding - we receive lovely updates on their app every day. We can't recommend it highly enough!

I love this nursery so much, so does my daughter. The management are amazing, always so kind and helpful. When I collect my daughter they always take their time to touch base and inform me in detail about her day. The staff are kind and really make my daughter's day so fun, she always comes home so
happy and excited and always has so much to tell me. 10/10 service.

I am thoroughly pleased with my son's progress at Bright Horizons. I have noticed a huge difference in my son's communication and confidence and know this is a testament to the wonderful nursery staff. Two members of staff in particular, together have always updated me with his day and I feel like we
are all an extended family. I am actually recommending it to my friends and family, as I am confident in the care the nursery provides to my son.

My little boy is now 18 months old. He has been attending the nursery since 9 months old and he loves it. He has built close attachments to the staff there and is often soothed by talking about nursery and his key person, outside of the nursery. He gets to take part in activities and do things that
he enjoys. The staff are amazing and so welcoming, not only in the room he is in, but also in the all the nursery. In the morning they all welcome him and he smiles and waves and says hi to them all.
I have full faith in all the team, to ensure that my child is safe and having a great time.

On the whole we are happy with the preschool room although there does seem to be a lack of direction/management in terms of learning abilities in preparedness for school.
The cost is far more than all nurseries in the vicinity so we would expect the highest quality provision for the preschool children.

I have only positive feedback to describe Bright Horizons Enfield Hilly Fields Day Nursery and Preschool. Since my daughter joined a little over 3 months ago, she has excelled in her social skills. After never having been around other children due to the pandemic she was luckily immersed in to what
is a very warm and caring environment. The staff are all absolutely fantastic, and so caring. I feel at ease to leave my daughter in their care. The photos and updates received daily are so well thought, and considers the learning stage my daughter is currently at. The staff teach the children to be kind and I would 100% recommend this nursery. What a fabulous job they do!

Great experience of all the staff in nursery room. My son has been really happy since joining the room and has really developed his confidence and talking.
