Funding & Fees Guide for Mouse House Nursery School SW18

  • All our kindergartens offer the government 15 hour funding for eligible children under three, and the government universal 15 hour funding for children over three which provides funding for a nursery education place for up for 15 hours per week to all 3-4 year olds.

Children are eligible for the funding from the term after they turn the required age. The child’s birthday needs to occur on or before March 31st, August 31st and December 31st to be eligible for the funding from the following term.

We also offer a number of full day places, which will include the 30 funded hours for those families that meet the government eligibility criteria.

We will apply to the borough council on behalf of parents once a child is eligible. The funding provided does not cover the total cost of placing a child at The Kindergartens, therefore we charge an additional hours and services package. The additional services charge is due to the cost of providing qualified staff of a high calibre; maintaining a smaller teacher to child ratio; the provision of peripatetic staff to deliver extra curricular activities including sport, music/drama and dance, in addition to Forest School, snacks and other consumables.

    The funded hours are offered between 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. each day.

Please call our admissions team to discuss the fees for your chosen setting.

    Fee sheet available upon request.

The first impression is the one we took into account. Cozy environment like a real home. My daughter soon connected with the staff, really attentive. Updates on everything that happens thanks to the app. The evolution of learning I immediately noticed. Thank you, I recommend it.

We are very happy with this nursery. The staff are first class. They are so loving and skilled at what they do. Our daughter has made so much progress since starting a year ago, and that is down to them. We are very grateful.

My boys made a really good start at the nursery and they are enjoying their time here. The team is lovely, they are getting a lot of attention and are picking up their first words really quickly. The new toys in the outside area are a winner!

Fantastic and friendly nursery. Blown away by the level of care. All the staff are very caring and friendly. Our daughter loves it. The longer hours suit us perfectly as we both work in the city. We have our second on the way and won’t hesitate to send them here.

I don't have enough words to praise Mouse House SW18! Our little guy started in November 2023 and settled so quickly, a special shout out to the staff who had him as her shadow for the first few weeks. Every day our little one runs into school and leaves so happy. The facilities are wonderful, the staff
are out of this world and we feel so lucky to attend this beautiful school.

Mouse House is a lovely, nurturing, clean and modern nursery. The children are all very happy there and our son clearly loved his time there. The teachers are all fabulous, with a clear dedication to all children. The weekly updates were informative, giving us an insight into what our son had been doing.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Mouse House is a lovely nursery where the children are engaged, entertained, developed and most importantly loved by the staff.
The regular updates on the development of your child are strong and they take great care in explaining the ever-changing behaviours of their pupils to their parents. I certainly
recommend it.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.250)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.250) out of 10 for Mouse House Nursery School SW18 is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.817 for Mouse House Nursery School SW18 is calculated as follows: ( (60 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 71 Ratings = 4.817

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.433 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Mouse House Nursery School SW18 is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 number of registered child places is 7.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.2 = 0.833

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
