Kids Planet (Thornton) are an established and trusted nursery located in the centre of Thornton, just outside of Cleveleys. They are open 8am - 6pm and offer full day, half day and sessional day care depending on your requirements.

As part of the family-owned Kids Planet group, the nursery aims to provide a home-from-home environment which children look forward to visiting and where parents and families feel confident that their child is in capable hands.

Each day is planned with fun activities that aim to encourage children's natural curiosity and development, with their age, personalities and any specific needs taken into account. The team have a wealth of experience, and understand that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to day care.

The nursery offers a wide range of facilities and equipment to make each day exciting, whilst also establishing the foundations for children to become happy and confident individuals.

An amazing nursery with the most kind and caring staff.
My daughter left here a couple of years ago and there wasn't any doubt about where I would send my son when he started 6 months ago.
The staff have alway been so welcoming and you can see instantly how happy they make the children.
My sons
has allergies and the staff have done all they can to reassure me and that means I can go to work and know my son is safe, happy and well looked after.
The amount of activities that the children do is fantastic and you can see how much love and care is put into everything by all that work there.
There is an amazing variety of meals cooked that both my children have enjoyed.
The nursery is clean and tidy and every room is child friendly and a home away from home.
I would 100% recommend Kids Planet Thornton to anyone who is looking for a nursery.

It is been a wonderful experience since my child started at the nursery. My child has really improved in attaining development milestones. I am really pleased with the care and support the staffs have always shown toward my family as whole.

Brilliant staff and nursery. So happy with the care my girls receive. I can go to work not worrying about their care. Very child centered and holistic care. Both girls are totally and different and both are looked after well. lots of activities. Everything included in the price really helps. Amazing

I couldn't have chosen a better nursery to look after my child. They have welcomed us as a family with warm and undivided help towards us as a family.

Both of my boys attend Kids Planet Thornton and have done since they were babies, in that time I have never had a single issue or complaint. I honestly cannot recommend this nursery enough- it's brilliant. I have been into a lot of nursery settings within my work and it really was a no-brainer when
deciding on where I would send my children. Even since moving out of the area I would rather add significant time onto my commute than move them anywhere else. The staff are incredible- helpful, friendly and very professional. The care my boys recieve is second to none. Communication is fab, we are updated regularly throughout the day via the parents app which I absolutely love - I can see everything they're up to and how happy they are when doing it. In short, the nursery is run to an extremely high standard, with amazing competent staff and my children love it- what more can you ask for!

Since joining Kids Planet Thornton I have seen a huge change in my boys.
Compared to the other nursery they were at I love the fact you don't call me every day. I love the app and how you communicate.
The only thing is I just wish you would tell us what activities the boys have been doing during
the day, and take them out on trips more.
I chose a 2 for activities only because I don't know what the kids do during the day.

Fantastic nursery! The staff are wonderful, very friendly and caring towards my little boy. He loves coming here. He’s come on so much since he’s started. The app is great as it’s nice to know what activities the children have been doing as well as knowing what they’ve had to eat and drink that day.
Atmosphere is always great. Lots of fun activities and learning areas. Outdoor area is great too. Overall amazing nursery. Highly recommend!

My eldest son attended this nursery under the old ownership and we loved it. Although they have been taken over, the staff are still the same and is run to the same high standards with added extras and benefits of updates throughout. Our youngest now attends and has settled almost immediately. I drop
him off knowing he's receiving the best care with wonderful people. I'd recommend this nursery to anyone.

Very pleasant nursery. Always 'on it' with my child; she is always stimulated, and they stick to her routine that I do with her at home. The equipment and environment are fitting for her age bracket. Little Nutkins have been an excellent nursery for my baby girl. All of the girls have been fantastic and they make me feel at ease and have helped me every step of the way. The staff have helped wean my daughter as I was nervous and scared of her choking. All staff are always smiling and welcoming.
I always have a detailed hand over every night. I would not have her attending another setting.

This nursery has been a second home to both my boys, one who is still there, and I couldn't recommend them enough. They have been, and still are, our extended family. They know the children as well as family members do, and take great care to raise them and support them with us. We will be so upset
this summer when our youngest leaves to start school, and it's because the staff at Little Nutkins have been outstanding. They've supported us as parents, used our cloth nappies, encouraged our boys to grow and become independent, and given lots of hugs when needed.

Very good nursery my son really likes going and talks about the staff at home. The meals are excellent and just the best nursery for accommodating for his dairy-free diet. My son loved the outdoor area when we came to look around. The nursery also helped to have the grant hours spread how I preferred
them.

My daughter is always excited to go to nursery and adores the staff! The nursery is always kept very clean and has a very positive atmosphere. My daughter is a vegetarian and she is always provided with a variety of meals that she enjoys. Leagues above any other nursery we considered, so happy she ended
up here! We have a happy, clever and confident child.

I have felt extremely comfortable and happy in sending my child to the nursery. She has attended since being 6-months-old and leaves for school this time. I just can’t recommend Little Nutkins enough. This nursery and it’s management has really shown it’s true worth throughout this COVID pandemic. As two front line shift workers, they have been nothing but flexible and shown us and our children great care. We wouldn’t have been able to work if it hadn’t
been for management being so responsive to our needs. All the time, staff have kept our children as safe as possible and kept them in a routine, with an array of fun activities.
We really do consider the staff at Little Nutkins as part of our family. The children have fantastic relationships with them and are so happy going to nursery. To see our 1-year-old point and kick her legs with excitement when she sees her key worker is all a mum really needs to see to know she has made the absolutely right choice in childcare!

Two of my children have attended Little Nutkins. Both my boys have loved attending the setting, my eldest daughter tells me she wishes I would have sent her there. The staff are extremely approachable and respectful of parent's wishes at an individual level. The staff know my children and their little
personalities, they’ve recognised when my boys have had off days and successfully supported them on those days. I’m always given a handover of my child’s day, what they’ve been offered to eat and anything else they feel is significant. The nursery have been fabulous in the “small things“ that make a difference, for example, my youngest has always been helped to make birthday cards for siblings that don’t attend the nursery, such a lovely touch. The children’s basic needs and skills are always a priority (which I believe is the most important aspect of caring for children): suncream, hats, coats, toileting, pouring their own drink.... things we don’t see as parents. I do regret not sending my eldest.

I am very happy with Little Nutkins and how great they are with my daughter, she's never not wanted to go to nursery and comes home just as happy and content as she was when she went in. I would recommend Little Nutkins to anyone looking for a nursery to send their child.

Leaving our child at a nursery was such a big deal for us and after looking at a different nursery previous to Little Nutkins we were convinced that Nutkins was for our little one. The staff are friendly and great with all the children and have a large variety of activities for all the children. Our
child leaves every day with a smile on her face.
