Funding & Fees Guide for Minibugs Nurseries Ltd (St Austell)

  • We are an all year round nursery, open 51 weeks per year and offer the following sessions only:

    Full Day 07:30-18:00* 10 hours 30 mins
    Morning 07:30:12:30 5 hours
    Afternoon 13:00-18:00 5 hours


    Funded hours are granted for 38 term weeks a year only. Annually this equates to 570/1140 hours for an entitlement of 15/30 hours respectively. Hours can be taken in one of four ways, including options to use just your funded hours or use your funded hours to contribute towards the sessions you need, over an academic year running Sept to August:


    *Due to Local Authority terms of a maximum funded claim of 10 hours, this is restricted to a 17:30 finish
    for those taking a ‘Funded Hours Only’ option below.

Minibugs Nursery in St Austell is absolutely amazing. I would recommend them to any one of my mummy friends. They are very happy and helpful and full of knowledge about my child as soon as I step foot in the door. My child loves every single one of the ladies that work there. The relationship between
myself and them and my child and them goes beyond anything I expected.

My little girl has additional needs and is non-verbal. She started Minibugs after a horrific experience with a childminder. Minibugs staff have gone above and beyond, helping us every step of the way with diagnosis and hosting meetings upstairs with professionals from occupational therapy, speech and
language. The key worker helps with special meals and they have adapted the setting to help her.
My little boy also attends. He loves it. They have both been here for 12 months and will stay until school. I don't want them to leave.

My youngest son started Minibugs in September. He was not used to being away from us and really struggled when we left him. The staff at Minibugs were great, they really worked hard to help him settle and soon enough he did. He now loves his nursery and looks forward to going. They carry out a wide
range of activities and he has come on in leaps and bounds. He also enjoys the healthy meals and snacks that snacks they provide.

My son started nursery back in November. The girls were so welcoming to him and he settled so quickly. I always feel relaxed leaving him there and he has come so far with his development in such a short space of time

The emails about the children’s day could be better. I only receive one email. Although I have two children that go and they don’t always have the correct information about them.

My little boy took a while to settle in but with a lot of patience and persistent he has finally settled and absolutely loves it! He appears very happy here now. The nursery itself is lovely and the staff are wonderful! It's great to receive a daily email of what he has been up to along with some lovely

We have been using Minibugs for a few months now and we couldn't be happier with the service we've received. Our son has come on leaps and bounds since going. We are always pleased with the staff. They seem to be happy throughout the day and very caring. Would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic staff who provide consistent care and attention to all the children. My son absolutely loves his nursery days and comes home with stories about what he has been up to. The email update at the end of the day is also really lovely to see as well as useful for knowing sleep times etc. The food
variety is very good, with lots of different snacks and meals.

My little girl loves going to Minibugs, she goes once a week and has such a lovely time! She has made lots of friends and loves the staff. They are always telling me about her day and she is always so happy when we go home! She also loves the food there which she would never eat at home!
The staff
at Minibugs are all so lovely and I never have any worries about leaving my little girl for the day! They always make me feel comfortable and I know she is safe with them!
Such a lovely nursery with lots of toys and activities for them to do! I would highly recommend Minibugs to my family and friends!

A brilliant nursery, clean, light and airy. Lovely, warm and caring staff who could not do more for children or their families. The nursery focus appears to be on using the imagination, sensory play and enjoying outdoor playtime. They also have a fantastic outdoor mud kitchen! Lovely home cooked healthy
meals. My child is vegan and they make a real effort to cook special meals for him. Wonderful updates for parents/Carer's via emails with full details of your child's day and gorgeous photos of them enjoying their nursery experience, this really helps you to feel included in your child's life at nursery, and their educational development too.

I can not praise Minibugs Nurseries Ltd (St Austell) nursery enough!
Both I and my partner were apprehensive about sending our two-year-old son to nursery.
He has additional needs and can be quite challenging at times.
All the staff have been fantastic! Prior to starting, his appetite was poor,
he is now eating meals and trying different types of food as his a confidence has increased tremendously. His communication and behaviour issues have also improved. He has begun to socialise and play games and appears a much happier boy in general.
Staff are always informative at home-time but I also receive a detailed email with photos attached after every session. A great idea! All my family look forward to reading about his day. It's comforting to be able to look at the photos and see him happy and content. Gives me that extra sense of reassurance.
Thank you Minibugs Nurseries Ltd (St Austell). I can relax (finally) when he is with you as I know he is well cared for.

If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 number of registered child places is 12.2, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
