Nursery girls at Sutton High School Nursery are supported by qualified teachers in small groups from the age of 3.

Lessons, taught by specialists, include Music, French, PE and swimming in the school's very own pool. Each child has the chance to really get the individual attention they need and to foster a love of learning and exploring the world around them from a young age. The nursery is perfect stepping stone to starting Reception.

Spending time outside is so important for the wellbeing and development of young children. Girls at the nursery benefit from daily outdoor sessions where they can explore, dream and discover the joys of the world around them.

Each girl is valued for their uniqueness and develops confidence in who they are. They benefit from interaction and support from older girls in the school across House events and the wonderful 'Big Sister, Little Sister' buddy scheme.

Daily wraparound care is available from 7.30am until 6.30pm, providing peace of mind for busy, working parents. Morning sessions run from 8:25-11:25am, afternoon sessions are 12:15-3:15pm. Hot lunches are provided to those who stay for a full day, and 5 sessions are covered by 15 hours free childcare.

Most of all, the girls love their Nursery, learn with joy and want each other to succeed. Each is confident in their own skin and ready to take those first steps to Reception when the time comes.

  • Currently, all qualifying girls in Nursery are eligible for the universal government grant, covering 15 hours of education per week. This is automatically deducted from fees.


    Girls attending our Nursery must attend a minimum of 5 sessions per week.


    A session is either a morning or afternoon. Lunch is only available to those who stay all day.

My daughter had a really great time at Sutton High School. The teachers, including all staff in the Explorer sessions, were kind and dedicated. The school environment is excellent, providing a nurturing space for learning and growth. The older students, like big sisters, were friendly and helpful to
the younger ones, creating a sense of belonging. It's wonderful to see how happy the kids are there. I've noticed my daughter's confidence grow during her time at the school. Sutton High School focuses not only on academics but also on making kids feel good about themselves. I'm truly happy with how much my daughter learned and enjoyed her time there.

Sutton High Nursery was an outstanding experience for my daughter. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. The range of activities on offer was fantastic, from arts and crafts to outdoor play to music and movement.
What made Sutton High Nursery exceptional was the staff themselves. Every member
was kind, patient and attentive, going above and beyond to make sure that my daughter was supported and cared for. Their passion for what they did was evident in everything they did.
Overall, I highly recommend Sutton High Nursery to anyone looking for a nurturing and stimulating environment for their child. My daughter had an incredible experience there, and I'm so grateful for everything the staff did for her. It was a large step in helping her prepare for reception.

The nursery at Sutton High School is second to none. The girls are exposed to school life and activities whilst focussing on learning through play. The school have fantastic resources. They are able to swim every week, do sports twice a week music and French, and the highlight is forest school. This
has had a huge impact on my daughter and her interests and personality. The care at the school is phenomenal. I would highly recommend the nursery at Sutton High School.

Having had three children and being a professional, I have been very reliant upon childcare. I can honestly say that the nursery at Sutton High Schill is faultless. The care given to my daughter has been above and beyond expectations. The resources and learning she has been able to access are excellent
and allowing her to grow and develop into a wonderful, thoughtful young lady.

Overall, the school is very good. My daughter enjoys her time whenever she’s in school, and we noticed her growth and how her vocabulary blossom. My only fault is when the girl's things are getting lost/swapped even when there’s only a few of them. Also, we don’t get feedback on how much the girls eat,
which some other nurseries/schools do.
