Chingford Forest Day Nursery and Pre-school is nestled on the edge of the magical Epping Forest, in a large, old Lodge House which is set in half an acre of outdoor grounds.

It is located only a few footsteps away from an entrance to Epping Forest. This means they are able to offer enhanced outdoor experiences for all children as they love to explore nature. The curriculum of the nursery is heavily based on children's outdoor experiences due to the location of the nursery. This is embedded throughout all age groups.

The younger children, have access to stimulating activities, which supports their inquisitive minds, awe and wonder. The provision gives the opportunity for this in the enhanced areas.

The nursery has an amazing outdoor space with three different gardens. Pre-school children enjoy having free-flow access to the barked garden which allows the children to move freely between the indoor and outdoor activities, embracing their curiosity of the outside world.

Healthy, warm and nutritious meals are prepared daily by the nursery cook and support the healthy growth and development of each child. Specific dietary requirements can also be catered for.

Having tried a few other local nurseries I finally took my children out of a place I wasn't happy with (a large, expensive chain) and now they go to the magical Yardley Forest Nursery.


I'm so happy I found this place but slightly annoyed it took me so long! My children race from the car to get

to the front door and the staff and children all seem very happy to see them and to be there themselves.


They get to spend large chunks of time in the forest itself and are always happy, tired and nicely muddy/glittered when I pick them up. They love their key carers and it feels like an extended family setting.


If your child likes to be outside then it doesn't get any better than this.
