Finkley Weeke Nursery are huge believers in learning through hands-on experiences and play. Not only do children have access to the excellent facilities at the nursery, but they also visit local attractions regularly, such as Finkley Down Farm, Winnall Moors, local woods and parks to extend their learning through fun and practical activities.

The fun does not stop there! Back at the setting, the children's curiosity determines how the nursery is created every day. The setting is fortunate to have a huge amount of green outdoor space, which features its very own mud kitchen, sensory pathway, messy play, bug hotel and parking garage for the young motorists. There is a range of options for children to choose from indoors too, such as making crafts, cooking, playing, reading and building.

The ethos at Finkley Weeke is ‘Happy Children, Happy Parents, Happy Staff’, which creates the foundations of their nursery.

Funding & Fees Guide for Finkley Weeke Nursery and Pre-School

  • 51 weeks per year:
    Full day (8am - 6pm) - £70.40
    Half day (8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm) - £50.25
    Ad Hoc Hourly Rate - £11.20


    Term Time:
    Full day (8pm - 6pm) - £75.20
    • School Day (8am - 3:30pm) - £70.80
    • Ad Hoc Hourly Rate - £11.20


    Early Club 7:30am – 8 am is £5 per session, payable in advance via the parent area.


    We accept the 2, 3, and 4 year old funding, however this funding does not cover certain sundries so any child using the grant will be charged £2 per funded hour on this day.

  • We are approved providers of Hampshire County Council’s free early year’s educational grant for 2, 3 and 4-year olds. This funding is available for all children from the term after their third birthday regardless of family circumstances. We will supply you with all the required information and parent declaration forms for you to complete, as your child reaches the appropriate age. This funding does not cover certain sundries, activities, visits and hot meals so if a child is using the grant a daily charge of will be payable. Details on this can be provided from the Nursery Manager. Children eligible for 2-year-old funding and EYPP may qualify for a discount.
    There is a charge of £2 per funded hour for meals/sundries.

I cannot speak more highly of Finkley Weeke Nursery. The staff have been absolutely incredible with both my little girl and my little boy. My daughter, who had attended three previous nurseries due to house moves, truly thrived at Finkley. It had been, by far, the most exceptional experience. The staff
supported her emotional regulation, and she made fantastic progress. She also developed wonderful bonds with the team. My son, who still attends, has also formed such close relationships with the staff and children. He absolutely loves going and looks forward to it every day.


The staff truly make this nursery what it is. They create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can flourish. On top of that, they offer fantastic day trips to local farms, parks, supermarkets, and nursing homes to name a few.
Frinkly Weeke Nursery has been a wonderful place for both my children, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My youngest daughter still attends Finkley and she absolutely loves her time there. She particularly enjoyed the Halloween season with the Finkley staff doing lots of arts and crafts and then learning all about the seasons. The staff at Finkley are all incredibly friendly and helpful and have really
kept is informed about our daughters development. Her key worker in particular has a very special bond with her and really helps her develop her learning.

Finkley Weeke has been amazing for the development of my three year old. We are always kept well informed about our son's progress. My son enjoys the different activities and trips provided by the nursery. He is encouraged to be independent and is appropriately challenged to ensure he is school ready.
The staff are extremely friendly and are always happy to work with us to help my son's needs and development. I would highly recommend Finkley Weeke to anyone wanting to send their child to nursery.

My twin boys started at Finkley in October 2023 and it was the best decision we made. Finkley is a brilliant nursery, with a nurturing environment focused on the emotional and learning needs of the individual children. The staff are friendly, professional, experienced and know each of the children really
well. They will adapt to support busy working parents at drop off and pick up as well which we have always found very helpful and greatly appreciated.


Finkley Weeke provides regular trips out for the children which are exceptional, including visits to local shops, attractions, a care home and Finkley farm which my boys love. The structured activities and weekly themes that the staff create are also incredible and the effort that goes into the planning and execution of activities to suit the EYFS is outstanding. We have always found the daily contact via the app to be brilliant, with detailed information about learning, activities and day-to-day care. Highly recommend!

We are immensely impressed with the overall setting and the wonderful staff at Finkley Weeke. From the beginning, the staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive. They have created a warm and nurturing environment that has made our daughter feel happy and comfortable. It is evident that they
genuinely care about each child and take time to understand their individual needs and personalities. We are particularly grateful for the open communication and the collaborative approach the staff have taken with us. They have kept us informed about our daughter's progress and have always been available to discuss any concerns or questions we might have. The facilities are fantastic, providing a safe and stimulating environment where children learn and play. The activities are varied and engaging, and we have seen our daughter develop new skills during her time there. Finkley Weeke has been amazing for my granddaughter. She loves it and comes out so positive about the fun things they have done, including going out on local trips to the moors and in the community. She has grown in confidence which I believe is down to her nursery experience being so amazing and educational

Moving my daughter to this nursery was one of the best decisions we made. The staff team have built an excellent relationship with both myself, my partner and our daughter. They provide regular updates via the app and during the evening handovers. Something that I never had at her previous nursery.
They take really good care of her and support all of her individual allergy needs and make sure that she doesn't miss out on anything that allergens could limit by replacing them with a suitable alternative.
Our daughter has gained so much more confidence since being at the nursery and is really coming out of her shell. The nursery manager and staff team are all wonderful and my daughter is very excited to go to nursery every day and never wants to come home! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone searching for child care!

I have been absolutely blown away with Finkley Weeke. From the first phone call to the manager, I had a good feeling about the setting but I could not have imagined the professionalism and care of all the staff. They have gone above and beyond to support my little one into something which is a very
new territory for him and have completely worked at his pace. They have been kind and helpful in our adjustment as parents and kept us informed of every achievement and challenge and worked with us to achieve new goals. We are so happy we found Finkley Weeke and will be forever grateful for all their hard work. Special mention to two staff members for taking such good care of our son.

Since my daughter started at Finkley Weeke Nursery she has thrived. She absolutely loves her time at nursery and has come on leaps and bounds in every way. She has grown in confidence massively. The nursery staff are always so kind and happy, the children adore them all. The nursery communication is
brilliant, I am always kept up to date with what they are doing and have done. The trips out that the nursery takes the children on are very beneficial. My little girl always comes home very happy, and she is always learning something new!

We went to the grandparents stay and play. The staff were all welcoming and the activities were well thought out and gave the children the opportunity to use their motor skills, a Christmas theme. It was also a great opportunity for the grandparents to meet each other and see where the children spend

My 2-year-old has been at Finkley for 3 months and I am just so impressed. It was a big decision to move him but I am so glad we did. The staff are so caring and kind and go out of their way to make every child feel special and comfortable. They plan trips out and support the local community which is

Our son joined this nursery a few months ago and has really enjoyed it. He gets lots of time playing outside and goes on fantastic regular field trips including Finkley Farm. The nursery team are brilliant and treat him like a superstar. Couldn't ask for more!

Our daughter has attended since September and settled in straight away. We have been incredibly impressed with the daily communication and organisation of Finkley Weeke Nursery and Pre-School and are very grateful for the wonderful staff.

Absolutely amazing nursery. My daughter's gross and fine motor skills have progressed significantly since starting here and her speech has progressed. My daughter is a confident, chatty, happy little girl thanks to the nursery. We are always greeted with a smile and friendly face - it feels more like
a family. My daughter loves it here and runs in every morning. I love that she goes to the farm and all the extracurricular activities they plan. Brilliant nursery!

My granddaughter has been attending Finkley Weeke Nursery and Pre-School since last year and absolutely loves it. The staff are always welcoming and enthusiastic. The children have a wide range of activities and she particularly loves going out on visits to the farm and the care home. She’s always eager
to go in on play school days and the communication with parents is excellent, I know my daughter loves seeing the photos of what she’s been up to. I feel that her transition to school in September will be easier because of her happy time there. Now I look forward to seeing how my grandson thrives there when he starts in October!

My daughter has only been at Finkley Weeke Nursery since April, but it feels like she has been going for a lot longer as she absolutely loves it, and we have been welcomed as part of their little family.
We love the stay-and-play sessions; it is so nice to see what the children do, get involved with
their activities and meet other parents and have a chat. They are always so much fun!
Finkley Weeke provides such a nurturing environment and enriching experiences for the children they care for. My daughter really enjoys the trips to the farm and going out and about, and absolutely loves taking part in the fitness classes. It is so nice to hear her tell me about her days out with enthusiasm and excitement.
I also think the trips to the nursing home are such a great opportunity for both young and old to connect. My daughter loves visiting.
I could not recommend this nursery enough.

Vanessa is one of the Nursery Managers at Finkley Weeke.


She has 10 years of experience working in the early years sector and has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education.


Vanessa's favourite thing at Finkley is providing the children with an exciting learning environment, offering them a variety of experiences such as trips to the Farm and Nature Walks. Seeing the children so happy and having fun while supporting them in their journey to school.

Maria has been at the nursery with us since March 2022 and is level 3 qualified! Maria has lots of experience working with children and also loves animals!
Maria's favourite thing about working at Finkley is "being able to offer the children the amazing experiences such as going to the farm, the pumpkin patch and providing them with fantastic learning experiences!"

Sara loves Finkley because no day is ever the same and loves the variety of outings the nursery can do, from pumpkin picking to the garden centre, every day is unique!

Job Title: Finkley Group Manager

Joined: 2017

Sarah is the Finkley Group Manager of Finkley Nurseries. She has been working at Finkley since it opened in September 2017, starting as the manager of Finkley Andover before being promoted to the Finkley Group Manager in June 2021, where she now oversees all of the settings. She also has a degree in Early Years Education.


We asked Sarah what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;


"Working with children allows me the opportunity to develop a new purpose every day. I love watching the children's curious minds explore the environment that we as a setting create for them and find this particularly rewarding."

Dani is our SENCo Manager and supports all of our Finkley Nurseries in meeting the needs of all children within our care, Danielle joined the Finkley family in March 2021. Dani is currently working towards her degree in Special Education Needs and Inclusivity.


We asked Dani what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;


"I love seeing the impact that both myself and our wonderful staff have on the children and their future outcomes. I love to get involved and enjoy running both Bucket time and BLAST sessions within all of our settings."

Emma is our Deputy Manager at Finkley Weeke. She has been working in nurseries for many years and has a wealth of experience and knowledge after completing her degree in Early Years Education. Emma loves working at Finkley because everyday is a new adventure and she loves seeing the children grow and develop under our care!

Clare has joined our team February 2025 as our Daily Lead and SENCO! She has a wealth of experience working in the early years sector and has trained to support children with additional needs. Clare is passionate about educating young children through their play and loves being outdoors, she is even Forest School trained!
