Little Adventurers Nursery aims to offer the greatest possibility for discovery, exploration and adventure within a home from home environment that promotes positive relaxed learning. They believe in having adventures with children every day, giving children as many spontaneous learning opportunities as possible and learning in the moment.

As a family run nursery, they are enormously proud of their setting which offers care of the highest quality to childcare from three months to five years.   The highly professional and caring staff team are led by a manager who is an early years teacher with over 30 years' experience in early years education.

All staff hold professional childcare qualifications, have enhanced DBS checks and all full-time staff have paediatric first aid certificates as well as safeguarding training.

The nursery has both CCTV and a key fob door entry system installed throughout its premises for high level security.

The nursery's optimum nutrition menu has been devised in consultation with their in-house health nutritionist and their own nursery cook prepares fresh meals onsite daily ensuring the menu meets the whole daily nutrient requirement for children under five.

Parents and carers are encouraged to visit and see for themselves all that the nursery has to offer; including the wonderful nursery garden with a veggie patch and purpose designed mud kitchen.

Very happy with the nursery, my son enjoys the variety of activities and going on walks. I like the menu, which is much better than other nurseries.

Thank you for your kind words about our nursery - it's wonderful that parents notice our optimum nutritional menu and yes - we love going on lots of walks to the park, woods and local community! We work with our partner nutritionist to devise healthy and nutritionally balanced menus across the week. As an example, we do not purchase all food from a supermarket; all our meat comes from locally sourced farms, grass-fed cattle and British chicken - all from a local butcher. We only use butter (not margarine or oil) for cooking and spreading and we use reduced sugar (or no sugar) puddings - please feel free to contact me for more details of all the great background to our food offer here at Little Adventurers.

Our son has had a lovely time at the nursery. The nursery's done an amazing job for COVID-19. It'll be great of the nursery could start teaching pre-school children phonetics and maths.

A lovely nursery with an excellent management team which shines through in the consistency and loyalty of the staff and their professional care towards the children. The setting, although in a high-density residential area, is a clean, peaceful and fun environment to learn and play and they have made
the best of the space available. They have really gone the extra mile to settle my daughter both when she first started and post-pandemic by sending presentations and videos for her to engage and familiarise herself with.

The staff and setting at Little Adventures can’t be faulted. Our daughter started during the COVID pandemic after using a childminder for the last couple of years. The manager and the team went out their way to make our daughter feel comfortable in the new setting. All the staff are really friendly
and our daughter settled into the new environment really quickly.

My son has been attending Little Adventurers Nursery since 2018. He is quite shy and reserved but has truly flourished as a result of the nursery and the staff.
I am totally confident in the nursery leadership and management during the COVID pandemic. They have maintained transparency throughout to
provide reassurance and taken additional steps that other nurseries may not have done to keep everyone safe and reduce the Irish of the nursery premises being a source of infection. This included regular deep cleans of carpets etc as well as the daily cleaning of toys and equipment.

The nursery has had such an impact on my son, with him being an only child he can be quite shy with others. He is growing confidence with others daily and loves the wonderful staff that look after him. The food is really balanced and I love the fact that it has been thought about with nutrition in mind!
In particular, I would like to give praise to the nursery on their response during the Coronavirus Pandemic from implementing measures to keep everyone safe to still providing a wonderful home from home for our children.

This is our second child at Little Adventures and we could not be any happier with them. Our little one is so happy here. She enjoys each day and loves every minute of it. She even asks why they are closed on the weekends! The team are truly amazing and remain consistently strong in what they do and
are professional and caring. Despite the pandemic, the nursery continues to provide engaging activities for her and we really enjoy the emails that show this as well as what she gets up to during the day. The staff are also supportive of our concerns and work with us to help guide us with her learning and development. We also receive regular updates about the menu which really helps us understand the nutrition and balanced diet she is eating. She once told us that she had a chocolate cake for pudding which was made out of beetroot! Very healthy indeed! We love Little Adventurers dearly. They have truly given us a continued positive experience who are supportive of children and families.

We are absolutely delighted that our daughters have the opportunity to attend such a great nursery. I have the utmost confidence in the nursery and their ability to, support, nourish and develop our children while in their care and it gives us both a great deal of comfort to know that they have such
a wonderful time in such a supportive environment while we are at work.
COVID has served to highlight what a great nursery this is. I am confident in the measures they have put in place to prevent the spread between parents, staff and children and they have communicated frequently and thoroughly throughout the pandemic.
Our children have a wonderful time at nursery, the staff are engaging, fun and really bring out the best in our children's personalities, it is a joy to see photos of them having such a lovely time at nursery and to hear all about their games, adventures, stories and learnings when they come home. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

The manager takes such pride and care over the nursery and every single child inside. She knows every child's name and is available to them and parents when they need her. The staff are incredible and work tirelessly to keep the children happy. The key workers in our daughter's room put a huge amount
of effort into settling her, she settled after her first week and has skipped in excited to start her day ever since. We never have to worry dropping her off - even if her keyworkers aren't around we all feel safe with any member of staff there. They provide fantastic meals, make sure children brush their teeth and have an incredibly holistic approach to childcare. It's an amazing feeling knowing that when you drop your child off to go to work they are looked after, fed well, and given all the attention and play they desperately need at a young age. It's the people that make this nursery, a fabulous, safe home away from home full of people who genuinely care for each and every child.

I would like to thank Little Adventures Nursery for my child’s three years in your care. My child went from being quiet and quite shy (@18 months) to a vibrant, assertive and sociable child ready to go to "big school". We will miss the beautiful and bright nursery with the best staff you could wish
for to look after your child. The staff are skilled and consistently focused on my child's development while learning and most of all, having fun. The manager and her team are committed to creating a warm and friendly environment for the children so they can feel comfortable and safe.
Lessons have been learned during a difficult and unprecedented period during lockdown, now post-Covid, my child practically just settled right back in with her friends and staff. Well done to all the staff for a successful and seamless re-start.

I love the nursery, my little boy is so happy there, which makes leaving him so much easier. He runs in and cuddles the staff and doesn’t look back. They do so many activities and are always outside at least once a day (weather permitting!) I don’t worry at all when he is there. The food is so varied
and nutritious. The staff are all lovely and know the children very well. I couldn’t be happier with the nursery and would recommend to anyone.

I first started looking for nurseries when I was due to return to work and my son was nine months old. I had been looking at different nurseries for a while and was just about to give up hope that a good nursery actually existed when I heard about a new nursery opening called "Little Adventurers".
From the moment I stepped in, I knew there was something different about this nursery. It was clean and the staff were so friendly and the kids seemed genuinely happy. After my visit, I signed my son up and never looked back.
My son has now started school but my daughter is still at Little Adventurers. They both love it there and have such a good relationship with the staff. One thing I really love is that the staff, even if they are not in your child's room know the name of each child that goes to the nursery and it is definitely a home away from home for us now.
I would highly recommend Little Adventurers to anyone looking for a nursery.

Little Adventurers is a fantastic nursery. Leaving your most precious person in life to be cared for by someone other than you is extremely hard and they make it a lot easier to do this. Having the confidence that your child is safe and having such a joyous time makes a working parents life a great
deal easier. I have the utmost faith and confidence that my child is being well looked after while having fun with his friends. Nothing is too much bother for them and I am so grateful for all they have done for me and my family over the past three years. I will be extremely sad when my child has to leave to go to school.

Little Adventurers really is a fantastic nursery. The staff are amazing and really engage the children and our daughter has built such a great bond with all the staff. We’re so comfortable leaving her there and wouldn’t choose anywhere else. The focus on nutrition and health, in general, is great with
the mini athletics too recently. I think this nursery continues going from strength to strength.

Charlotte has been with the setting since before opening as one of the core team members. “Joining Little Adventurers has reminded me why I went into childcare 13 year ago; to give high quality care in a loving and supportive environment. Little Adventurers Nursery has been developed with Ginny’s ethos and vision and is very much a home from home where children are encouraged to enjoy real experiences and routines in the nursery are flexible and spontaneous. Ginny is qualified to Level 6 Early Years Professional Status, is one of the safe guarding officers as well as the Special Educational Needs Officer for the setting.

Job Title: Assistant Deputy Manager

Kerry has been a member of the nursery team since the beginning and brings over 13 years of early years experience to the setting. Kerry is our Assistant Deputy Manager and was previously our Deputy Manager prior to her maternity leave. Kerry’s expertise is with our under 2’s age group and she is passionate about giving them a creative and happy time at nursery, “So much of their brain development happens at 0 to 2 years and this has a direct link to their likely outcomes at age 5 and above.” Kerry’s team say that she thinks outside the box and has a calming presence in the baby room. Kerry is also studying for her Level 5 qualification and has previously been a deputy manager. Talking about why she loves Little Adventurers Nursery, she says “It’s simply that children are always put first. We have the flexibility here to make them happy.” Kerry now brings her own little baby to nursery and what better testimonial can there be!

Lewis

Job Title: Senior Practitioner

Joined: 2017

Lewis brings over 20 years experience of early years training to Little Adventurers. He has previously been in a deputy manager role and has Level 3 Business & Management Training. Lewis said that when he first went into childcare his passion was just about working with children but now he has developed that further and (along with having the experience of 4 of his own children) believes in keeping children happy and extending their interest through play. Lewis says, “Working at Little Adventurers has been one of the best supportive environments I have come across. It feels like a family here and it makes it a pleasure to continue my journey in early years education.” For us, it is great to have a male practitioner here at Little Adventurers and Lewis is such a hit with all our little ones!
