Overall Experience

Woodend is by far the best childcare setting in the area! All three of my children have attended the setting. This setting is unique as it’s based in a home setting but operates like a nursery so is the best of both worlds! Everything operates perfectly. From the first time we entered the nursery we

saw the smiles on the children’s faces! It’s a great setting and the children go on countryside walks or might visit the farm next door. The outdoor space is brilliant. The owner constantly invests more money into the business so the facilities are fantastic and a real attention to detail. All staff are conscientious and genuinely care for the children they look after. Every year the owner organises a summer party and a Christmas party at the weekend, I don’t know any other nurseries in the area that do this. All my children have thoroughly enjoyed attending. It’s so popular so you do need to book a place ASAP. The owner will always go out of her way to accommodate your needs.

Overall Experience

Both my children have been to Woodend and I highly recommend it. I knew from the minute I walked through the door with my eldest little girl back in 2013, as it felt so homely and all the staff were extremely welcoming.
It had a completely different feel about it compared to other nurseries I'd looked

at and both my daughter and son settled in very easily. They both created such a great bond with their key workers and all of the other girls.
My little boy is now ready to start school and will miss all his Woodend friends (friends and staff) very much. Thank you so much to the manager and the girls for the best possible start I could wish for, for both my children. You are all truly amazing.

Overall Experience

My 2 children have both attended Woodend from the age of 1 - 4/5. They are both very different children but have both absolutely loved Woodend Nursery. The atmosphere is friendly and secure, the setting is in the middle of the countryside and the outdoor areas and activities are great. The staff couldn't

be kinder and are very experienced and really understand the children and their needs. When we drop off our children it is like leaving them with family - I never worry about my children when they are at nursery I know that they will come home full of stories about their day and all the fun and varied activities that they have been doing. I couldn't be happier with a nursery and I am very sad that my youngest is leaving at the end of the month to start school. Thanks so much the manager, and your wonderful staff!!

Overall Experience

Woodend Nursery is an outstanding setting which has provided our daughter with the very best childcare we could have asked for. All the staff are friendly, approachable and consistently go above and beyond to ensure all children are safe, happy and well looked after, as well as developing them into

confident and curious learners. We have always been happy with Woodend Nursery and have always recommended to family and friends. Should we need childcare again in the future - there is nowhere else that could compare.

Overall Experience

My son has been attending Woodend since before his first birthday. From our very first visit, both he and I were put at ease by the extremely warm and caring staff. The owner and manager is also wonderful, leading her staff but still taking time to know each child and parent and spend time doing hands-on

work with the children.
The outdoor areas are superb with the children spending as much time outdoors learning as they do inside. My son loves helping to make snacks or bake cakes to bring home as much as he loves being outdoors undertaking imaginative play in areas like the pirate ship.
We have loved each of the key workers assigned to him, first in the baby group and now the toddler group but the rest of the staff are as involved and knowledgeable so he’s happy to spend time with any of them when the need arises. I am very grateful knowing that my son has such a lovely time while I’m at work and with the variety of activities available he’s always doing new things.

Overall Experience

Woodend is a very special nursery. My eldest daughter went elsewhere before we found Woodend. My youngest daughter has been there since 8 months old. I was very worried as I required full-time care but there has not been 1 day in 4 years where she has not been happy there. The staff are outstanding

and the dedication and care they show to the children are second to none. They invest so much effort into the children's happiness and development. They listen to the parents and adapt their care to each child's needs. There is such a wide range of experiences for the children whilst still making it home from home. So much so they embrace the kids into their family atmosphere. I am extremely sad to leave as my child moves onto school but feel confident that she is school ready and has had the development needed to settle in. I cannot thank the nursery enough and have never had any worries or concerns about my daughter whilst she was at Woodend.

Overall Experience

I was very nervous about returning to work and putting my daughter into nursery. I went to see Woodend Country Childcare and immediately loved it. I was put at ease prior to our breaking in sessions and all my worries were squashed. I was allowed to stay for as long as I needed during our breaking in

sessions which wasn't an option in some other nurseries.

I liked the fact my daughter had a key worker and me and her developed a good friendship ourselves. The manager is very hands-on with the daily running of the nursery and with the children so knows what is going on in all aspects. All the staff are approachable and friendly.

Both me and my husband can tell that our little girl, now 15 months, is being educated as well as having fun, by her vocabulary and interaction with other children. We could not recommend Woodend Country Childcare highly enough!

Overall Experience

Woodend Country Childcare offers the best childcare possible in a warm homely, friendly, caring environment. The staff are amazing and all of the children are very happy. Overall Experience

Woodend County Childcare is everything I wished for in childcare. It's child centred and is a loving and warm, friendly environment for my children. It's like a home from home. The manager and carers are very approachable and any concerns regarding your children are dealt with appropriately and with

the deepest respect. A daily diary is kept and once weekly photo report of their achievements through the week. The food provided is for all and is properly home cooked food with variety. The activities are varied both inside and outside and they seem to cover lots of events through the year ie Chinese New Year, Easter, Christmas, Halloween etc. I have recommended this nursery to many of my friends!

Overall Experience

Both my children have attended Woodend Nursery, my little boy from 11 months until school and my daughter from 11 months and she will stay there until school. Logistically it would have been easier to send my daughter to a closer nursery, however, there was never any doubt in my mind that she would

go to Woodend.
They are fantastic, both my children loved/love it.
The staff are brilliant, they are friendly and welcoming, they communicate well and you get a book each day to let you know what your little one has been up to. Each child has a key worker, who gets to know your child well and my children adored/adore theirs.
The manager, is outstanding, including ensuring her staff are up to date with the latest training/courses which is reflected in the new ideas coming into nursery all the time.
The setting is idyllic, it really does feel homely. The children are often outside playing and exploring in a safe and stimulating environment.
I couldn't be happier with the care they provide.

Overall Experience

Very friendly staff and due to its location very homely. Staff are pragmatic and are a good source of information and offer advice when asked for. Staff are genuinely interested in all the children and spend time getting to know the parents of the children they look after. As a parent I have always

been made to feel very welcome. They do lots of interesting activities using the setting in which they're based, e.g. going to see a tractor and the older kids could sit in it. They also did paintings based on the tractor theme too. Have introduced a book loan scheme, which is great as it means we're reading new stories. Both girls love going to Woodend Country Childcare.

The staff at Woodend Country Childcare are fantastic! I was very apprehensive about leaving my child at a nursery as it was our first and she was only 10months old but the staff were so reassuring and approachable I knew I was leaving my daughter in safe hands! Now almost 6months on she looks forward

to going and loves her key worker!!! Going to Woodend is like home from home and I love the fact that they are in the countryside and do activities outdoors! She always comes home with a piece of artwork that she has created and I enjoy reading her book saying what she has been doing that day! I would highly recommend this nursery!

Overall Experience

From the initial tour of the nursery, it felt warm and welcoming, taking the time to get to know us as a family, whilst also explaining all that the nursery has to offer. Since his first day my son has been thoroughly looked after by the caring and attentive staff and he undoubtedly enjoyed his time.

Every day the nursery provides the children with different creative activities and learning opportunities, such as sensory activities, musical sessions, arts and crafts, story time, outdoor activities and these are coupled with mementoes for parents to keep and see how their child progresses. The staff also take the time to get to know the parents, a warm welcome is always there upon collection of your child with a summary of their day by their key worker, all of which is captured in a daily diary. One final point to make is the nursery's use of tapestry, an online, personal journal for you of your child, which the nursery uploads pictures, reviews etc recording their educational progress.

Overall Experience

We are very pleased with the care provided for our son at Woodend Country Childcare. All of the staff are very friendly and have made a special effort to accommodate our son's second language.
They have a wide variety of learning activities, our son has progressed wonderfully in their care.
All of

the staff are very friendly. They also allowed time to see which staff members our son grew particularly fond of and assigned them as his 'keep carer'.
The communication between staff and parents is very good. Along with updates when we collect our son, there is also a tapestry app which we can follow our son's developmental progress on a weekly basis and a monthly newsletter.

Knowledgeable, caring, trustworthy and approachable staff. A lovely friendly atmosphere with a wide variety of groups and activities. The Manager is very approachable and helpful with answering any queries. My daughter has become very settled and attends 4 full days a week. She has a great relationship

Overall Experience

Woodend is a fantastic nursery in a beautiful setting in the countryside. My children started in April when my daughter joined pre-school. She was very shy and quiet but since joining Woodend in only a few weeks she was so much more confident in herself, talking all the way home about what she had been

doing all day until she would fall asleep tired out from her busy day. My son just walks in and doesn't give me a second look. He had a milk allergy which the girls dealt with no problem. The food is all homemade. They love telling me stories of their adventures. Den building, Olympics, yoga, dancing, stories, dressing up, painting, cooking, computer work, hairdressing, country walks to see all the animals. My son is excited about the big red tractor visit. The Manager and her staff do a fantastic job. The key workers are fab and make sure you know exactly what they have been doing, eating, funny stories and I love looking at the Tapestry logs each day which show photos of activities.

Overall Experience

Woodend Country Childcare is the most wonderful nursery. The owner of the nursery throws herself wholeheartedly into the nursery. She shows each and every child real care and affection and is constantly striving to find new ways to enhance the experiences of the children within her care. Obviously,

she can't do this single-handedly and she has a fantastic team around her. Each child has a designated a key worker and this really helps with the settling-in process (for both child and parent). My son has an exceptional relationship with his and she always takes the time to tell me about his day. Located in beautiful countryside, the children get to take part in many outdoor activities, which allows them to learn through play. Bottle feeding the lambs was one of the highlights of the year!
I consider myself blessed that my children have been able to attend this nursery and although it's not the nearest nursery to my home or work, I would never consider sending them anywhere else.

Overall Experience

I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful nursery on my doorstep. The team at Woodend is professional and caring. I have been a customer for nearly six years and both my children have thrived in the setting. The experiences the children get on a daily basis are exceptional - egg collecting, woodland

walks, yoga to name but a few. My child is now under the pre-school umbrella and today alone she cooked, painted, played outside and did letter writing and shape recognition. Woodend is like an extension of the family. They take the time to get to know each child individually, their likes, dislikes and little quirks! Both my children have had food allergies and intolerances and these were both catered for with no fuss. We are so lucky to have found somewhere so special. I looked at several other nurseries when my baby was little and Woodend won hands down.
