At Kids Planet Leeds Oxford Place, the children are nurtured and encouraged as they discover their own unique personality and take part in a wide variety of activities to boost their imagination and social skills. Qualified and experienced practitioners help children to learn new skills and develop confidently towards school life.

Parents are kept up-to-date with their child's development and are invited in for regular parent partnership meetings. A monthly newsletter, themed stay and play sessions and fun family events mean parents and children will soon become part of the Kids Planet family.

The 60-place nursery provides care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

My little boy joined Twinkles when he was 6-months-old...the anxiety I had was ridiculous. However, within a week, he was actually getting cross at me for picking him up! In a pandemic, where I know I was worried about his socialisation, I think the best thing I’ve done for him is getting him into such
a wonderful nursery.
There are so many activities to keep the babies stimulated and learning, the staff are all so hands-on, and I genuinely feel like I’ve left him with his favourite aunties for the day with how much they care about him and his development. The menu is off the scale, and I’m always kept up to date with what he’s loved and what he didn’t fancy that day! And if you’re in a rush at pick up time, then it’s all on the App for you to see. I could talk for hours about how amazing and kind the people and place is but here’s the important information: these guys really care about you and your child and will support and nurture them to grow.

My son has attended Twinkles since a very young age all the way through to getting ready for school this year. He has amazing bonds with the staff, and his quality of care is amazing. I am eternally grateful to the staff at Twinkles for how well they have treated me and my son over the years.

What a fabulous nursery. Even before Covid-19, the team on-site were wonderful and seeing how happy my child was and how well his development was advancing is amazing. During the pandemic, it's clear that their top priority was the welfare of the children. They have been amazing, giving parents flexibility
over attendance, taking away the worry over what's going on with fees etc. The communications have been excellent and at no point have I been left wondering what's happening. The return to nursery has also been very well handled with the team taking the time to understand each parents position. I feel confident with the procedures they have put in place as part of their risk assessment. An absolute gem of a nursery and would highly recommend to others.

Lovely nursery, cheerful staff and an all-around great setting. Fees are on the expensive side but convenient location. The garden area is a little small but the staff do take the children on walks around the city centre.

All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I am confident in the care my daughter receives and would not feel comfortable leaving her anywhere else. The management and care are friendly and give excellent advice and go above and beyond to make my daughters nursery experience the best it could possibly

Both my children have now attended Twinkles and thoroughly enjoy their days there, especially when they get special visitors such as dogs trust. My eldest looks forward to seeing their friends and taking part in everything. The staff have been great throughout each group setting. It's a really good

My little boy has attended Twinkles since he was 11 months (now over two years). He absolutely loves it and settled in really quickly. The staff are all lovely, and I feel so comfortable leaving him in their care, even though I'm quite an anxious parent! Would recommend to other parents!

My son has attended Twinkles since he was 10 months old he is now 21 months. I have nothing but respect for all the staff here. From baby room to the next one up, he has come on leaps and bounds and loves attending; every day he smiles as soon as we get inside. There is always healthy food for my son,
so I know he is getting what he needs. He is learning every day and enjoying his time here. Hats off to all staff; so welcoming.

I definitely recommend this nursery to any parents. It's a clean safe fun place for the kids. The outdoor area and the soft play area along with the educational corners are fantastic. My daughter loved this nursery she learned a lot and became very confident.
The policies are very strict, the staff
very professional and friendly. The manager very professional she deals with every comment separately and makes sure the parents are happy with the results.

My little boy was 11 months when he started at Twinkles Oxford Place. I was slightly apprehensive about leaving him, as he had literally been my little shadow since he was born. We don't have much family nearby, so he had not spent regular periods away from me. However, he settled in so well at Twinkles
and the team in the Baby Stars room have been great with him. Developmentally, he has also progressive massively in the past few months: he is better socially with other people and children; started crawling and walking fairly quickly, and just generally enjoys seeing and hearing new things. He loves being active too, which is definitely encouraged.


I am so glad that I found Twinkles Oxford Place, and even more grateful that the staff have made what could have been a very difficult transition, seem fairly effortless and stress-free.

My daughter started at Twinkles Oxford Place in October 2017 (2years 5months at the time), and she's been developing happily since then. I am a single mom and full-time student, so it is really important for me to have a second home with a second family for my child so that my mind is at ease knowing
she's very happy while she's there. Her carers are extremely cooperative and have helped her reach development milestones both at nursery and at home. I'm beyond relieved that I have found a nursery with staff I can trust, especially since they are supportive during hardships I personally go through with my two little ones. I couldn't be happier with the cleanliness, meals and good habits my daughter has acquired and it's going to be bittersweet when it's time for her to start school.

I am very happy that I found this nursery for my child. From day one the staff was very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. It was a very hard time for me to leave my baby first time alone for so many hours but I believe he got enough attention and warmth which made him assimilate smoothly. I like the
events which the nursery organize which makes my baby have a wider knowledge of the world around us.
The most important for me is the feeling that I can trust them to take care of my precious baby.

Where do I start? I went back to work quite late really. My daughter was 26 months old before being sent to nursery and before that had only been with me or someone she knows well, so I thought it would be a potentially difficult transition.
She spent 6 weeks at a different nursery before we transferred
to Twinkles Oxford Place and while she was well looked after she cried a lot and spent a lot of time looking out of the windows for us. After only a week at Twinkles the crying has stopped and she LOVES it! Every day she comes home and tells us what a great day she's had. She was put in the age 3+ room and despite being very young is thriving and taking part in the vast array of activities available. The soft play room is her favourite thing! The outdoor space is pretty limited but for a city centre venue that's hardly to be a surprise. They are still outside regularly and making the most of the space that's there! I've run out of review space but I could go on about this place all day.

My son has been attending this nursery since January 2017. I changed to Twinkles Oxford Place nursery from another that I wasn't completely happy with and have no regrets since doing so. My son absolutely loves the nursery, the staff, other children, their daily routines, activities, the list is endless.


The amount of activities they do, messy play, going out into the garden or for a walk is just brilliant. There are 3 rooms split by age group, a shared soft play room and an outside play area. There is also an on-site chef who prepares all the meals, the meals provide excellent range and variety for the kids and it has got my son eating certain things that I wouldn't normally cook at home!


Couldn't recommend this nursery more and plan to send my second child here too.

My baby started nursery in November 2017 which was quite a daunting prospect for myself and no doubt her. However, from the very first day all of the staff, without exception, have been amazing. They take their time to know you, know your child and they are observant ie know what your child is wearing,
what they eat, any changes in your child. They are encouraging, supportive and clearly, enjoy the kids. They immediately come to say hello when you arrive and in the best way possible take your child off you so that you can go to work, they call when needed and are always polite and courteous. They are consistent in their behaviour and I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone.


You can call in whenever you want and you still get the same reception!


They are brilliant! Thank you.

We transferred from another Twinkles site when Oxford Place opened, due to its excellent location. Having been very happy at our previous setting, I was nervous-but from the first day he was very happy!


The staff are very kind and caring with wonderfully creative minds for activities for both learning

and play.


Any concerns are dealt with swiftly and professionally and with my child's development and happiness as a priority.


I receive regular updates on progress and activities through social media, email and also verbally from both managerial and room staff.


Facilities are bright, clean and new and larger than you would expect from a city centre nursery.


My child's day is filled with reading stories, dancing, phonics, art, sand, water, kite making, role play, baking, trips to the local library/shops and playing outside or in the soft play. He is challenged, encouraged, entertained! Very happy!

I have had the pleasure of working here at Leeds Oxford Place since 2017, during that time I have gained so much experience and have been able to progress in various roles and have recently become the Manager here in June 2024.
During this time, I’ve even welcomed my little girl to the world who I have been able to watch flourish and grow within this Nursery, she is now three and thriving. This gives me the desire and drive to provide the best for all children in my Nursery, whether this be engaging with them myself and implementing a variety of opportunities, or training and supporting my staff to be the very best they can be.
