Little Palms is an Early Years Alliance setting and is located on the third floor of Zig Zag's children's centre within Torquay town centre and is accessed by a lift or stairs, open 51 weeks per year Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm, excluding bank holidays and three inset days per year.

Little Palms offers Early Years Provision for children from 2 years to 5 years old for private and funded placements, it is in receipt of funding for both 2-year-olds and 3 and 4-year-olds.

The dedicated team work hard to support all children accessing the nursery, every child is supported by a key person who understands your child's individual needs, will work with you to support their learning. The children enjoy learning through play, with lots of fun and exciting activities available to encourage development and independence. The fantastic outdoor garden space supports learning opportunities too and they provide all-weather suits for children to play and explore the mud, they are keen gardeners and have a go at growing their own. The nursery team use an app for parents and carers to access observations and photos of your child's time in nursery.

The nursery follows the Early Years Alliance's robust policies and procedures and has adapted them to meet the needs of the setting. Staff have access to wider training from both the Early Years Alliance and the Local Authority as well as in house training at team meetings and inset days.

So pleased we chose Little Palms for our daughters to attend. Was initially anxious about them starting, but the whole team there put us at ease and the girls didn't take long at all to settle in. All the staff are so attentive and caring and nothing is too much trouble. The nursery is fantastic - down
to earth and authentic, letting kids be kids whilst supporting them with educational aspects on the way - we can already see so much progress in our girls. They love attending and can't wait for the upcoming year.

I highly recommend this nursery not only have I seen my daughter develop so much during her attendance but every day she came home happy and looked forward to going back. One of the key things for me was I felt reassured that she was in safe hands as all the staff were fantastic. They are helpful and
friendly and the quality of care is superb. They had so much patience with my child's speech and language development ( not native to English). I'm very lucky to have found this gem of a nursery and can't wait for my little boy to attend as well.

The staff has been very accommodating since the start of September 2023. A small group which my son absolutely loves. Nursery hours are great for me and they go all through the holidays which has been wonderful. Really been a huge part of my son's life.

Couldn't be more grateful for all the service we received from the nursery. The staff is amazing, very understanding and very caring with my child. My child is very happy there and loves everyone. There is a good variety of food for my boy and his nappy is changed every time is needed. I will recommend
this nursery to everyone.

Love the friendly atmosphere and the understanding of the individual child and their needs. Nothing is too much trouble and always willing to accommodate any special requests. The lunches are always fresh and have a lovely variety.

Our little boy started Little Palms last month. He has settled in really quickly and seems to really enjoy it. The staff are really lovely, friendly and always smiling. The home-cooked food is always a massive hit!

My little boy has been attending Little Palms Nursery for over a year now and I can’t fault the nursery! The staff are fabulous with my little boy and he’s built a wonderful relationship with them all. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them, my little boy loves the wonderful outside space they
have available from a bottom garden on the lower level to another level which has a muddy bank for him to climb up and they have a lovely big sandpit! The food at the nursery is amazing! My little one is always well fed and talks highly about what he’s eaten!

My child has been going to Little Palms Nursery for nearly 2 years and I can honestly say she has loved every minute of every day spent at this nursery.
The staff here from management down are truly amazing and go above and beyond for the parents and the children. They have nurtured my little girl
into a mature big girl who is now ready to take on reception at as she calls it her big school.
She has loved the interaction with both staff and friends but she also used to love the food too so well done the kitchen staff too. The gardens were a big hit and my washing machine won't know itself now lol.
Once again a big thank you to all the staff at this amazing nursery your efforts don't go unnoticed.

My daughter really enjoys her time at Little Palms. She adores the staff and loves the activities provided. The outdoor space is fabulous and the staff are always great at ensuring the children are 'sunsafe' at all times. My daughter's speech needs work and the nursery has been helping to improve this.
The food is also brilliant and my daughter enjoys this and eats well when normally quite fussy at home!

Since my son started at the nursery we have had nothing but 100% support my son suffers with behaviour issues and not only have the staff helped in finding ways to help my son they have also found ways to help me to manage at home as well I can not thank the staff enough for their support and my son

My son has just started his settling sessions ready to start going in the afternoons and he loves it and the staff are great. Will definitely want my youngest son to go here too when he's old enough. Would 100% recommend Little Palms.

My son was due to start with this nursery in January after we viewed and he absolutely loved the place. Due to family issues, we couldn't start yet but the nursery rang weekly to check up on the family and make sure all was OK.
Since starting they have been absolutely fantastic, I have a son who is
excited every morning he attends, is more than happy to go with the staff and has never had any problems. They keep you upto date on every from how much they ate to what they have been doing!
So glad we chose this nursery would highly recommend!

3 of my children have attended this nursery, 2 of who left last September to start school! My daughter is still attending and is due to leave and start school in September! So I have been involved in this nursery for 3+ years. It is an outstanding nursery and I cannot thank these guys anymore for what
they have done for all of my children so far, who are also special needs! They even take the time to talk to me when I’m having one of those “off” days where I just need to offload, they listen and they support me in any way that they can! My children have and are blossoming/progressing so amazingly since attending here! My daughter is always so excited to go and she would go all day and night if she could! I can say I am 100% certain that my youngest children will also be going to this nursery next year once she’s of age!

I am so happy we decided to send our little boy to Little Palms. He has additional needs and finds it so hard t adapt to change. Little Palms have been amazing on every level. Their communication with me regarding my son is fantastic they check up on me if my son has had a difficult day before entering
the setting. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming on a daily basis and my son is so happy when he comes home and loves to tell everyone about his day.
The support that Little Palms provides me as a parent is amazing I suffer myself from anxiety and I feel so comfortable talking to them about situations that may have happened without feeling judged at all and they will help resolve issues if they can or point you in the right direction. I was extremely worried about my son starting any nursery with the needs he has and the displays but I have not had to worry once since he started Little Palms and I look forward to applying for my daughter to attend in January. A fantastic nursery!

I've had 2 children at Little Palms. Both of them have thrived being here. They love the setting, the teachers, the garden. The teachers have time to inform us of any problems and help to sort the problem out. I would recommend to anybody. One last note, they have adhered to all covid rules and stuck
religiously to them!

Little Palms have been amazing from day 1. My daughter started on the 1st March and we feel we definitely made the right choice. The settling in sessions were gradual and our daughter now loves attending. Everyone is lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend this nursery and will be arranging for my youngest
to attend here also once she is 2 years old.
