Little Palms is an Early Years Alliance setting and is located on the third floor of Zig Zag's children's centre within Torquay town centre and is accessed by a lift or stairs, open 51 weeks per year Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm, excluding bank holidays and three inset days per year.

Little Palms offers Early Years Provision for children from 2 years to 5 years old for private and funded placements, it is in receipt of funding for both 2-year-olds and 3 and 4-year-olds.

The dedicated team work hard to support all children accessing the nursery, every child is supported by a key person who understands your child's individual needs, will work with you to support their learning. The children enjoy learning through play, with lots of fun and exciting activities available to encourage development and independence. The fantastic outdoor garden space supports learning opportunities too and they provide all-weather suits for children to play and explore the mud, they are keen gardeners and have a go at growing their own. The nursery team use an app for parents and carers to access observations and photos of your child's time in nursery.

The nursery follows the Early Years Alliance's robust policies and procedures and has adapted them to meet the needs of the setting. Staff have access to wider training from both the Early Years Alliance and the Local Authority as well as in house training at team meetings and inset days.

The nursery is brilliant. The first day we met the staff they were nice and showed us around, my little girl didn't want to leave. They made my daughter feel safe and secure from day one and have helped us with potty training. Our daughter has come a long way since starting and seeing how much she is
growing is brilliant, we thank the nursery team for everything they have done and still do.

The staff are amazing, our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since joining. Nothing is a problem for the staff at Little Palms and they always go the extra mile to help us. I couldn't recommend them enough, there is always something different for the children to do to fit all their needs. Their
procedures, during these hard times (covid), is excellent.

This nursery is amazing beyond words! My daughter loves it here, every day she asks to go and the staff are incredible with the children and keeping parents up to date with everything that goes on. Could not fault it. Would recommend to anyone.

So happy with Little Palms. From the introduction meeting to my child starting they have been amazing. Listening to our worries and explaining how they will help support my child. My child loves nursery so much. She is happy and eats the food. She comes home happy and blows kisses to the staff and waves
goodbye. The staff are always friendly and answer any questions I have for them and I love the updates I get though the family app so I can see what my child has been up to. I love the fact that they have an amazing open space out the back so my child can run and play outside no matter the weather.

Both my children attended Little Palms they really loved it. It took my little boy a while to settle in, but all staff were really patient with him and we started with settle sessions for 30 minutes and up it the more he got used to it. I've had so much support from Little Palms nothing was too much!
Would highly recommend to any parents.

I am extremely impressed with Little Palms, I’ve had previous problems with another nursery my daughter attended before Little Palms so I was very hesitant to put my child into nursery again but I’m so glad I did. My child absolutely loves going and has come on leaps and bounds with her confidence and
interacting with other children. She comes home every time from attending nursery with a big smile on her face and she’s always so excited to tell me what she’s been doing. I can’t praise the staff enough they are extremely professional and always provide a range of activities for the children to do. I am also very impressed with how the nursery have handled the recent pandemic despite the difficulties. Safety procedures were put into place quickly and I was kept up to date with my child’s return date during lockdown.

My son and I had viewed a few nurseries, and he took to Little Palms. Unfortunately, it took him a couple of months to settle he was doing ten mins with me going along with him, the time got longer. The staff were very patient with him and did rush him to do a full session. My son loved going nursery,
he was always happy when I went to pick him up, sometimes he didn't even seem bothered that I was there.

Little Palms have supported us through very personal issues, they have helped us beyond what I expected. My daughter is on her last day today of 2 years at this nursery, so thank you for all you have done and the special relationships she has made with everyone.

My family relocated to Devon from a small Villiage in Hertfordshire after Christmas and I was worried my daughter would find it difficult to settle. The staff at Little Palms were really welcoming and friendly and she settled in amazingly well in no time at all.


My daughter really enjoyed her days

at Little Palms and was a very active and vocal member of the class. Her confidence has really grown and I believe this is down to the nursery. I now know she is ready for primary school and would highly recommend this Nursery.

My daughter attended Little Palms for 2.5 years and she thoroughly enjoyed every minute! She gained so much whilst being there. She went on to school a confident and independent little girl after finishing at the nursery!
The nursery staff were friendly and very approachable and I knew my daughter
was well cared for. The staff had a good knowledge of all the children's needs. There is a friendly atmosphere when you walk in and lots of activities available for the children.
My daughter thrived whilst being at Little Palms and I would highly recommend this nursery!

My son absolutely loves his pre-school and (in his words) the best school ever! We always receive a very warm welcome be it arriving or leaving nursery for the day. I have had two children at this nursery and one is still there. With my son being non-verbal, the staff are great at giving him the care and support he needs. I feel that the staff go above and beyond to cater to his needs, with all the extra support given. All the staff are friendly and I feel I can
talk to them easily, about anything. I can't praise this nursery enough. A lovely, clean, setting and not too big. I would 100% recommend. Also, a great support to me as a parent and my children have both enjoyed it there, both past and present.
